Cloud must have been having PTSD when he saw Sephiroth fighting Tifa.
That’s how I feel about Cloud.
56:24 all three of my boys together on screen at the same time.... i started giggling and kicking my feet omg
Dissidia in a nutshell
This game and Kingdom Hearts really did turn Cloud into the most mopey, depressed, monotone robot.
Glad the Remake captures more of Clouds true character.
Blame Advent Children, it made mopey Cloud the most popular
@@li-limandragon9287I mean can you blame him? One of the people he loved and cherished the most gets killed right in front of him, after all the trauma he’s already been through. Not exactly gonna end up a happy go lucky goofball if that happens lmao. He’s legitimately severely depressed by the time of AC
@@auntmaysumbrellaSure but he was stated to be canonically happy with his life for 2 years after Meteorfall with Tifa, before he became consumed with guilt & regret.
The happier he became, the more afraid he was that his happiness would end & that he wouldn’t be able to protect his created family. That’s the premise going into ACC so they did actively regress Cloud to a point where he would reasonably act like this. Plus Nomura admitted they didn’t go with Cloud’s Real personality for the movie bc they felt most people wouldn’t recognize it, & that his emo self was more popular/familiar with fans.
So while it was “reasonable” it was more that they wanted to do a movie & so regressed Cloud to fit those more stoic parameters. But the idea is that he returns to his Real Self/personality that he had in OG FF7 (post Lifestream Sequence ofc) at the end of ACC, once he resolves his issues.
@@heartstations Where did you come up with this headcannon?? AC happens 2 years after Meteorfall. And he was never happy during this period. He was severely depressed and spent majority of his time in Aerith’s church. Idk how yall just be making things up like that
@@auntmaysumbrella It’s not head cannon. All your questions can be answered from On the Way to a Smile, the official novel written by Nojima on events before Advent Children. Cloud was indeed content and had a fairly happy life after the meteor. He spent several months helping Tifa with the bar then running his courier service. It wasn’t until Elmyra requested Cloud to bring flowers to the Forgotten City, the guilt caught up to him. This happens just a few weeks before the beginning of Advent Children. He stayed at the church out of guilt, believing that his happiness was undeserved and feeling like a failure. But he did not spend most of his time at the church either. At most, only a few weeks.
One huge misconception people get is that they think Cloud wants to die and that he gave up in AC. He didn’t. He fought hard to live and fought hard for a cure for Denzel. He was just fighting it alone as the “lone wolf” when he should have confided in Tifa and family.
This comes to a resolve at the end of the movie when Cloud smiles and says “I’m not alone”
Dude's crystal is literally just a materia
it’s the holy materia tho

Steve Burton was so great as Cloud!
He sounded about 50! The guy's meant to be in his early twenties!
cloud is so edgy in an endearing way LOL
This game needs a remaster. NT was so mediocre compared to the PSP games
Wait, so there were two clouds this whole time, I thought the cosmos would have resurrected the cloud
She did
1:30:40 not interested 😒🙄🗡️

Given that this is utter bollocks, can someone summarise for me please?
