Turns out if the dealership installs them backwards, they make a god awful whistling sound... I got so aggravated with it that I took them off. Your video helped me realized that the dealership installed them backwards.
How do you lock the crossbars so they don't slide back and forth? Mine are fine if you don't touch it but when I try to use my snowboard rack (it's one that slides out) the bars slide with it.
There is no real lock. Should be tight when its mounted to thg he rail. Make sure its on the rail correctly. Can also try moving the slids on the underside of the crossbar.
@@hyundaihowto when you say the slides I assume you are talking about the numbers on the underside, right? I tried to move the parts that you said we're wind blockers but they don't seem to come out. When I did move the sliders that it still slid, didn't seem to provide any additional resistance. Thanks for taking the time to reply.
There is a slide underneath the crossbar(not the wind deflector). You will see a little black tap. There is about a 6 inch opening underneath and the slide will close that opening. Also make sure its tight where it attaches to rail. Test all with the hex key it came with.
What is the length of the crossbars and is it possible to put locks on the footings - where that screw is? This kit looks identical to the Thule bars and footings but at a much better price point.
Tucson question. Is there a way to make the rear seatbelts warning less sensitive or only beep once and be done? My kid is leaning forward to get his bottle of water , not doing anything unsafe at all, and it beeps 6 to 9 times, its very distracting and does not reset every stop light.

Thank you!!! This helped even with me installing the AU101 model for my Tucson. ✌🏼💛🌻
How do the plastic locks come out to install Real locks with a key?

I haven't measured them so don't know how long they are. And I've never tried to lock them.

My roof rails don’t have a wind deflector, did the dealership give me the wrong ones? Sorry. New subscriber and 24 Tucson owner.
Some styles don't have them.
Thank you for letting me know. Does that mean they’re interchangeable with being front and rear?
This may be a dumb question but my wife's tuscon has a full moon roof ,would this cause a install problem
No.
Ok thanks

Is there set locations for the bars on the rails or can you set them as close or as far apart as you wish?
