Just wanted to say that a lot of vintage speakers especially hi-fi are always going to be relevant and more than likely going to be as good as speakers can get ... I had fun watching the video but please be mindful of destroying vintage gear the audio God's will frown on you

@@johnsimun6533 Yes, they handled some good power, but that doesn't mean they are good. Bose speakers don't sound good, because of the lack of tweeters. Even their modern ones don't sound good because they use very cheap tweeters.

not so much overpriced on the seccondhand market if you know where to look. Not the best there is out there as far as other speakers but not trash either. I'd say its definitely better than a shitty plastic boombox but not quite up there with klipsch, infinity, polk, B&O, yamaha, onkyo or even a cheap pair of pioneer 2ways. Almost bought a pair of 141s and canceled the order when I found out they dont have a tweeter.

Bose is an Everyman speaker that's why they have such huge popularity usually fairly high on-bass which definitely helped them in that aspect but there are a few bose models out there that really are hi-fi.

Bose in general relies on bass modules to power them, even the bookshelves lack in quality. It sounds muffled so you tell me why bose is so great.
