These or CCA trio/kz vadar balanced?
I have Hydro, ZSN 10 pro 2 ,Castor bass and D Fi .D Fi is the best by far it's a steal for 8-10 dollars. They should return in this type of tuning at least for some of their multi driver iems.Thats why XuanNv is so popular.Hydro has amazing technicalities for the money especially for busy tracks and classical music but they are a little too much shouty in 5 - 20 khz area. Also the fit is the worst. I m thinking selling them despite the fact I like the outstanding technicalities but I have small ears..
Really thinking about getting the Hydro, just because it seems like a better rhapsody and people keep recommending that one quite alot. But yeah the treble on some of these sets is intense, and a more soft approach like the Xuannv sounds better to me, especially when it still sounds clear enough and not dull. The other reviews of the ZS10 Pro 2 are pretty positive, and while I too think its a good IEM (and seems alot better/cleaner than the older ones) I cannot be the only one who thinks the highs are a bit much sometimes. I went over to head fi and looked at the reviews there and it basically matches with what I am hearing.
And I mean if they are that uncomfortable to you, even the best sound cannot make up for that. There will be IEMs you will like in a similar way I bet, our IEM world is growing every day haha.
Interesting take. I have the Castor Bass, the KZ ZSN PRO 2, and the non switches version of the KZ D-FI. I have to agree with you. I think I like the D-FI the best. It just sounds so good! And I got it for less than $9 Canadian! Crazy good deal!
It's a real hidden gem to me.
