Thanks bro
I like what I see on that upper midrange. 3k 'peak' not my cup of tea but the glide/cut they did on the 800-2k region is, I think, new for a KZ DD/BA hybrid which is a good foreboding.
Hopefully they keep it up and please KZ give us something midrange-focused.
Yeah, they go through spirals of tuning. You see them increase for a few sets, then it backs down. They just need to keep following the refinement but it typically gets interrupted when they decide to try something new.
Thanks for review. I saw You measured KZ Vader HiFi on squiglink. Waiting for review.

@@PaulWasabii WOW. Many thanks
I was undecided between the pro 2 and the X. I already have the Pro’s. After watching this video, I ordered the X’s. Thanks.
Both are fine, there are a ton of people using X. Sometimes the older fits your preferences and that is great.
@@PaulWasabii Like you stated in your video, maybe down the road once the Pro 2’s have a reputable track record. I’m a bass player for a couple bands and these KZ Zs10’s perform decently for the price point.
X is like kz's one of most liked iems. They really fit the consumer taste.
Almost got these but can't couldn't resist proX at $13. This review was exactly what I've been hoping for-I do love the Boom! I like it as is but I love to play with eq on every set. It sounds really good regardless. Also sorta hooked on modding with tape/filters
So far I'm happy with it just tip rolling without mod. Although you pretty much inspired me to go there 😜. Using KZ gold and mixed SPC/copper cable. Not sure if it makes a difference since won't use KZ stock ones that look cheap and ugly.
You knew the answer before the review. The boom is an older KZ characteristic, they have modernized their house tuning to decrease the boom. EQ will get it back usually so you would have been fine either way but now you still have coffee money in your pocket.
@@PaulWasabii true. Their newer tunings are good too but I really do enjoy an old school bassline. Grew up with the Cars That Go Boom, basshead blooded 🙄you know how it goes in this hobby, that coffee money was spent immediately on ultra budget sets, AK6 pro, Edx Lite and Edx Pro X 😂 I have so many cables, tips and filters that for less than $10 for the 3, figured they would be fun to experiment with. Expected AK6 PRO to be an awful muddy, shouty mess. I was surprised AF with how much I love it! My set is not nearly as bassy, nor energetic as it looks on the graph and is surprisingly clear. Eqd off a bit of
mid bass and with TTips, ended up with a very satisfying, textured bass. EDX Lite graphs like a brighter Rosefinch, not even close, hated it at first. Mine is bass lite, and the sound was just off. Saved by small bore tips. The Pro X is really good too. It's crazy how much you can accomplish with tip rolling, don't feel the need yet to mod but I'll get the itch to tinker soon enough.
what to get that is more close to marshall minor iii ? Does those sets requires amp or i can use them with my normal headphone jack on phone and on laptop?
I have the OG ZS10 Pro and always thought the tuning was a bit too bright for me. The only KZ set I have bought in a while is the Castor black, which I do enjoy.
Yes, the original was a bit up there, older KZ V shape. Pro 2 brought it down. I assume they will continue to sell the original as well, it was crazy popular
Just got mine. Any recommendations on the settings of the switches with more bass? I want to use it without the software yet. Thanks in advance Paul.
did you get TRN ST7?
i think that meant to be the competitor for this ZS10Pro2
I did not. I am sure someone will have a review shortly.
Great review as usual. 👍👍
My guess was right. 😂 Recently ordered the Z S10 Pro for less than $15 after discount because thought the Pro 2 was not going to be radically different and I'd want something better when sitting down to enjoy music and the Pro X would be good enough to have music in the background when I step out of the house.
I'll be keeping an eye out for the next releases...
Thanks
Edit: Does the CCA Duo lack dampeners? That one to me sounded really harsh and intolerable.
Pro X is a fine set. It isn't the most popular but its way up there. Fun, affordable, and available nearly everywhere.
@@PaulWasabii Thanks 👍
Hii paul.. that was awesome nd detailed review..
Just had a thought.. I own zsn pro 2 nd it's actually one of the best I've heard. I loved it.
So how does zs10 pro 2 compared to zsn pro 2 in terms of resolution nd technicalities?? Will zs10 pro 2 be an upgrade from zsn pro 2?? What do you suggest??
Thanks in advance.. have a great day paul..
Yes, but don't get in the habit of chasing the better thing when you have one you like in hand. Just sit back, enjoy your ZSN Pro 2, and a few months from now, maybe you grow tired of ZSNP2 and see what KZ has cooked up in the next few months. It is a real bad habit to keep chasing sets rather than enjoying the one you have.
@@PaulWasabii 👍👍
I think the culprit behind the noisy high end is because the KZ is not using a proper acoustic-grade capacitor or something when they starting to use the zobel network kind of thing. I really need the HiFri explanation for this but never heard his voice for a while.
Possible. Since they started with Zobel, its been hard to explain this to them but there have been occasions where they have changed the nozzle material for similar reasons. Yeah, would be nice to see HiFri again, but I think he is taking care of HiFri which is more important.
Acoustic grade capacitors...
They don't exist. However, NP0 or C0G does exist but they don't exist in big enough capacities in small sizes so the next best would be X7R
Does restricting air at the nozzle create more pressure inside the shell which then helps to control the dynamic driver's mass as it moves back and forth? Reminds me of dampers in a car's suspension. iirc they're also tuned by changing the orifice size oil moves back and forth through.
That is what it sounds like. Sometimes in IEM land, you hear about front loading. This isn't unique to KZ but it can be very volume and tip dependent. KZ tends to rotate nozzle mesh material and I think some work better for me than others.
I think we have some good news here! But...
Can that "classic" compete with moondrop's and other flavor IEM's we have today in the ways of the neutral-natural-bright sound? Even against their own planar stuff?
THX for the video!
By compete, I would say Moondrop's tuning appeals to some people, not people who buy KZ sets who like more bass or warmer sounds. KZ also has a broad range of styles. Outside of 7hz Zero, other brands don't out-Moondrop Moondrop. If those signatures are your preference, KZ won't be for you.
Was debating on getting these or the as16 pros for console/mobile gaming. I was told the older zs10’s were muddy and hard to distinguish between some in game sounds I mainly play fps titles but don’t really care for a punchier bass I favor clarity over anything. Would’ve got the kz zar’s but there a bit out my budget wasn’t a fan of the zas or zax curves either.
It is hard with some of the older KZ models, more V shaped, fun for music. Gaming not as much. If you want to try one, Polaris is cheap and you have some control over the bass level with the switches
Excellent review again ❤️👌🏻✌🏻. Hello Paul should I buy Artti T10 now because its a budget planar or tell me any best budget planar because P1 max is more than my budget.
Yes, many people are gravitating to T10 as the best affordable planar. I also haven't heard it so that doesn't mean much. But honestly, a lot of people pick it up for the price to quality ratio.
@@PaulWasabii Thanks a lot Paul❤️👌🏻✌🏻
Spend a little more, the body and fit are pretty nasty
T10 is really good! Lately I've seen it on sale super cheap. The store usually has coupons too. I painted mine, now the outside matches the inside 🤓
Everyone has forgotten Pr1 Pro. @@PaulWasabii
Hey i'm currently confused between ks10 pro 2, rhapsody and delci. Which do you recommend and why? Also i'll be using a portable dac/amp. Also do i need to buy a separate cable?
If you are confused, Delci or ZS10 Pro 2. Those two are generally likeable, Delci probably more so. Ultimately, you need to try one, you can try the cheaper of the three, but it is very difficult to pick sets without trying one.
Hi Paul! How would this compare to zsn pro 2 as far as sound quality, specially treble? Thanks!
The two sets are tuned very similar, same dynamic driver too. My issue with ZSNP2 was there was an area in the treble that had a peak, some extra energy that got fatiguing for me. ZS10 P2 is better in that respect, but generally around the same price points, you are hearing level differences, more or less treble or bass rather than radical changes in sound quality. Or if the treble in ZSNP2 gets to you, CCA Trio is easier to deal with.
Juts got these and out of the box they sounds brilliant with a good bass and fullness however after tweaking the tuning I am not sure what happened but the sound lots all bass and it became very thin with loads of treble. Any tips what could have gone wrong? Is this a faulty pair? Thanks in advance
Possible, make sure you try the largest tips and push them in so they seal properly.
@@PaulWasabii I am using the larger tips that has produced good sound at the beginning.
Edit: I actually pushed them in quite firm and funny enough the bass appeared again. Oh dear 😅
I have used ZST pro before. Now, I'm looking for gaming IEM. KZ IEM's are available in my country but lost between the models. Which one is better for gaming?
Yes, ZS10 Pro 2 is lighter in bass, cleaner for gaming. Most people seem to choose 7hz Zero for the same reason
Have you tried playing on PlayStation yet? (FPS games)
I'm in doubt between this and the KZ ZSN PRO 2.
Besides these, would you recommend any better ones to play (on Playstation 4)? In the same price range as the ZS10 PRO 2.
Hail from Brazil :)
Most people game with 7hz Zero, but ZS10P2 works, just need to adjust the bass with the switches to your preferences
@@PaulWasabii thanks for the comment! I'm going to buy the KZ ZS10 PRO 2. The only thing missing is an energetic headphone on my shelf!
Recently i bought KZ zsn pro 2. If i want to upgrade to zs10 pro 2 ,will i get more technical performance like better details and separation? Thanks.
Yes, not drastically better. I would always say that if you are happy with your set, don't chase better for a while. KZ is always releasing new sets.
which is better for music listening Planar or Hybrid or dynamic I am ? Artti T10 or ZS10 PRO 2 or any other multi driver? Please help in choosing
Neither is better, just different. People generally get planars after hybrids but T10 is a solid set. If this is your first set, it is typically not worth buying the more expensive set. Start with a cheap set and get used to an in-ear. Later try the planar.
@@PaulWasabii Thank You Paul ❤️👌🏻✌🏻. But please still tell which is better for music listening?
@@PaulWasabii but I have already ordered T10 with 4.4 mm cable after listening to KZ PR1 PRO, will this be ok?
how do these compare to th cca trio? planning to gift one of those to my brother, who listens to hip hop r&b edm
Those are better
@@denisbasshead7787 cca trio?
@@denisbasshead7787 trio is better sound quality wise?
@@denisbasshead7787 you meant the trio right?
Is this IEM great for gaming as well??
Probably better than the original as it is smoother, less fatiguing.
idk, i kinda doubt this time. I have ks10 pro for years I love it alot just fix some treble which most owner want. But Pro X decide to increase bass decrease treble which almost unnoticeable change at all.
I disappointed in Pro X personally so i dont know if i can trust this new model from KZ. I think I will track it for somewhile before I get Pro2.
It is difficult because each of those revisions came around the time KZ changed how they were tuning. All the ZS10 models were very popular, I happen to see more ZS10 Pro X.
someone help me please what should i choose 7hz zero 2 or kz-zsn10 pro 2 -------(for bass)
Zero 2 has more bass.
Mine is on its way from China.
I should have returned them while I had the opportunity. I disliked the treble. 😩
This or the CCA trio/Vadar balanced? (imaging and soundstage wise)
Trio is a bit more fun with more bass, but if you are not concerned with that, ZS10P2 is a cleaner sound.
@@PaulWasabii Thanks, came to same conclusion, reading on head-fi. Both are different flavours, and excels at different genres. Might grab a ZS 10 pro 2, or TRN ST7 in the future. People said the ST7 graphs dont look that good, but people on head-fi said they really liked it. much as the trio. Crazy what we can get with 25-40 dollars these days.
ZS10 pro 2 vs AS16 pro X vs KZ Symphony? Greetings from Philippines 🇵🇭
ZS10P2 is the safe pic. AS16 Pro not X is the popular one, not sure what actually changed with X. No on Symphony
is 1111 the switch default out of the box?
Maybe, not sure though. I have a habit of setting both sides to 0000 out of the box just to make sure both sides are set to the same setting.
I just don't like these many switches thing. Thank you Paul for this review.
Yoooooooooo will these finally dethrone the D-Fi?
😂
Yeah, I think D-Fi was dethroned somewhere between Polaris/Trio/ZS10P2. One of those sets and switches is probably going to hit their prefs.
@@PaulWasabii What do you think kz/cca's best iem is? I know Zs Pro 10 X was the most liked, by consumers. Im guessing its the CCA Trio now?
kz zsn pro 2 vs KZ ZS10 Pro 2 which is great ? tnx
Both are fine but KZ ZS10 Pro 2 has switches to adjust the bass level which is super handy if you might like less bass
@@PaulWasabii noted sir . thanks of the reply sir :)
These vs the salnotes zero for Gaming?
I would go Zero like everyone else, but Pro 2 are close in sound. Almost the same bass level and clean sound which is why people like Zero.
0000 is everything off or everything on?
Off
0=off 1=on

✅ KZ ZS10 Pro2
Please give me Valid Reasons
Thank you Brother 🙏👍😁
This Zs10 pro 2 or ZSX?
ZSX is a nice one and if its significantly cheaper, get it. Otherwise ZS10P2
@@PaulWasabii Nice. thanks.
This vs Truthear hexa?
I never heard Hexa but a ton of people have it so it must do something right.
This or rhapsody?
For casual use, ZS10P2 as it is a nice set and the fit is generally better. If you are more of a picky listener, have some dac/amps, you will get more out of Rhapsody.
@@PaulWasabii thanks for the reply.
This vs CCA Trio?
You can get either one, the tuning is similar except for the bass. ZS10P2 has more subbass, Trio has more midbass. Both are nice, but I'd give the edge to Trio if you want something more fun, ZS10P2 gets nice reviews and can handle more serious listening. Just for casual, fun, I'd go trio but both are nice sets for their prices.
Edgy rough sound not impressed mine will be going back. Mines connected to F28 I've got some very much conventional ear phone very much cheaper that sound much better.
the only biggest con on these IEM's are the grills are just simply not good, they can fall off easily. the grill is like a chip piece of nylon..
Yes, they intentionally use that material on some sets, not all. I don't think it is a cost issue but an acoustic property they seem to like.
Sorry but it’s inexcusable. It’s really shit grill nothing good about it. What a waste of money
I just got mine and they sound like absolute dogwater. No bass whatsoever, even with DAC sitting behind them.
Sir kzs10 pro 2 vs kz zs10 pro x which has more soundstage and which has more clearity
KZ is pretty good with stage, clarity would go to ZS10P2. Pro X is actually a really nice set, a bit more fun.
