I want to share my unpopular opinion about gossip. I used to hate it so much, especially when women would engage in negative gossip about someone else & drag them in order to bond with each other and entertain themselves. It always felt so icky to me. And then I realized that it's almost human nature because we are social beings, especially women because we tend to be more socially oriented (same reason we tend to have deeper relationships with each other - it's a blessing and curse). Many women really enjoy knowing about other women, knowing the "tea" - positive and negative tea. That's why news sells so much. So I stopped fighting nature to know the tea. Thankfully, as I grew older, the gossip around me reduced (maybe because people matured and life got busy). But when gossip does come to me, I have an effective system of dealing with it where I carefully craft my contribution/response. For example, if someone starts a gossipy conversation about XYZ's nudes and who they have slept with, I respond with compassion about the person whose nudes were leaked and quickly start a different conversation about "privacy breaches" and "slut-shaming" in society. It literally changes the vibe and throws people off! Sometimes people get bored and stop talking 😂
Funnily, I've worked in an environment where it was the men who used to gossip alot.
Loved loved this. The balance in conversation. How everyone listened to the other and waited for them to finish talking, lovely. Great to see the growth in all of you ❤️

In my opinion, the topics of "would you date a broke man" have always been here. Culturally, the man was a provider and had to prove he could take on the role. Things are different now with us getting more or less the same opportunities but some people want to hold onto some expectations that don't serve everyone.

Well, I think the expectations will still have to change for everyone because guess what, the expectations of a woman in a home whether she works outside the home or not have not changed. 😂😂In my humble opinion (without hurting anyone loool) I suggest that in every home, the couple should work out the best dynamic for them and support each other. My fear though is that if we do not keep up this expectation for the male gender(provision), we shall be setting them up for failure because we are already seeing a problem of more women taking on both the financial role and the nurturing role etc. Remember the expectations on a woman are not reducing just increasing. So dear men, it is your role to provide. Atleast maintain that one! Come beat me 😝😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂

You're absolutely right.
I think feminism starts to feel 'divided' because sometimes we forget that we are all fighting for choice. For each woman to have freedom to pick whatever she wants. Something that hasn't been dictated for her by society. We can't all work and make money, for example and decided that's what being a feminist is about. Staying at home is also a very respectful thing, and selfless and loving. And it should be viewed with the same level of admiration. Basically, we women should have the freedom to do what we chose and have other women support us even when we do things they don't consider empowering to them.

You find a man gossiping about a fellow man (even gossiping about a chick bcoz he failed to win her) just to break up a relationship or get favor on the job or feel good.
