Actually this video demonstrates quite well the instrumental mastery of the band members... That guitar rips a hole through your soul. (And yes I was there too! :-D )
Right?? I just bought ear plugs for this concert and was blown away by the sound of that festival, holy shit! And after all these years of disappointments at other festivals and even solo concerts.
I was there. Still getting goosebumps seeing&hearing this again... What a show! I find it hard to understand so many people didn't appreciate the pure genius of this music...
Saw this tour in Sydney! I was front row, seeing Maynard sing this and watching this hand gestures was honestly the best thing I had ever saw! God in human form! Feels like a dream being at a tool concert
I started to discover Tool previous year and was very curious about their live performance at Werchter. It was so amazing! The sound, the visuals, everything was perfect. Already loved their music but now definitely one of my favourite bands as well.
I couldn't be arsed with Download but me and a mate got tickets to Rock Werchter and made a trip of it - few days in Amsterdam beforehand camping out and smoking, then a train journey down to Belgium to go see Tool.
cesarin321 aw thanks. I think the audio sounds a bit unbalanced at times actually, think I made it a bit too loud and then used hard dB limiter which makes it sound too much at times during the heaviest parts. Glad you like it though. :)
He messed up at the end, that’s why the timing is off. I love this song and This is great footage of a great performance, but he definitely missed the lyrics “it’s time to bring it down again” so the timing was off after that. Still sounded awesome.
i think that's only part of the bit... they based Ænima off of something a comedian did if i remember right. i did some digging on Hubbard tho, and from what i found Scientology has something to do with MK Ultra... 🤔🤔🤔
Can't believe they played there, the audiance is a waste of this band. Thank god the crowd in the Ziggo dome was better but they should be on festivals like Graspop etc not Werchter
I've been to both Amsterdam and Werchter and Werchter was better in every way. Band was tighter, sound was better, and the people in the crowd, at least where I was standing were friendlier and more into the music.
Can't believe I was there. After seeing Tool you only have one life goal - to see them again.
exactly, next shot in 10 years again :)
@@vvelzen9390 I hope they will tour after the new album is out. Fingers crossed.
@@kool_thing yeah but i am not keeping my hopes up
I was tripping balls on shrooms stood right down the front. Best gig of my life. Been a fan for almost 20 years.
same here!! i was there too and i can die now, i 'Ve seen TOOL
My god, this was a dream come true. Maynard's voice was on point that day!!
Actually this video demonstrates quite well the instrumental mastery of the band members... That guitar rips a hole through your soul. (And yes I was there too! :-D )
When they played in Sydney! They were all on point as well! Watching them live is like being in a dream
hipnotizing performance that day. It was the best live sound I've ever witnessed....

The way the public is "singing" with this opener of the concert you really can feel how mutch they craved for this moment. EPIC

Is it just me or does Maynard keep sounding better as the tour goes on?
Not just you, it's fact haha

I was there !! So amazing ! Unforgettable Concert ! Thank you TOOL & Maynard
Saw Tool at Download (U.K.), then over to Rock Wercher on the bike (with the wife cos she likes Pink !!!). This blew me away. Age..just hit 60.

wow wat een opener was dat, onvergetelijk ! top sound btw
I now think the period of maynard vocals going to shit was him just fucking with us.
Derniere fois que j’ai entendu ca en live, en 2002 a dusseldorf lors de la tournee lateralus ... faudrait une tite mise a jour
TOOL IS FOREVER
Fucking best concert ever
Best concert ever
Damn, you did it again Werchter!
Ooooops, Maynard screwing it at the end. They are so good though. Justin is the one that NEVER screws it up (and every musician does).
Danny Carey is awesome
sounds really cool, on headphones at list, better than previous samples ;)

Yea but they definitely didn't miss lol
Sweet shirt, Dan
Great quality footage! What camera did you use? Awesome! (sound is also great!)
I'm gonna say a Huawei p30 pro. Cause it appears to have optical zoom. Could be wrong but I agree the footage looks very good.
Unforgettable concert! Did you record some more songs?
Fuck Tool are sounding better with age
Why maynard hates L ron hubbard?

Arizona Bay was a Bill Hicks routine about California falling into the ocean.
lucy in the sky with diamonds
Did they get rid of their no cell phone policy?
D G that doesn’t apply to festival shows
@@EyeBlinked ah ok.

@@Jack655321 Same here. Went to both and I liked Werchter better, both the sound and the crowd!
Amazing video! I was there too. What cam did you use? zoom is astonishing
