ever since I mastered building your iron farm layout, I always start with them in the beginning of every hardcore world I start! I happen to add another layer on top and manages to produce 30+ stacks of iron per hr :D really thank you!
Edit: look closely at the video. For those having low rates at least in 1.19.4, the solution is to CLOSE the trap door by the beds, i.e., make it horizontal. This way the villagers get scared, but can also sleep briefly. I had rates about 140 per hour before. One villager pod seemed to be scared, but in the other three pods the villager did not see the zombie at all. In 10 minutes after this correction I had 230 iron, which seems to match the promised 1200 per hour.
My iron golems spawned for sometime but then they stopped spawning... i checked the pods and it seemed that the villagers weren't able to sleep, so i opened the trapdoor(i.e. is was 3 pixels tall but i opened it to go vertical, being one block tall) , when i did that the villagers were able to sleep and the golems spawned for sometime but i dont think the villagers could see the zombie anymore. Any tips?
This is so elegant and fits perfectly with my current survival build. I created an isolated island in the ocean and have built this off to the side on its own in the water. It was a bit more challenging to create the "underground" (in my case underwater) areas, but it looks beautiful. To all of those having issues with this build: 1. Try replacing the 2 slabs on the sidewalls of the zombie/villager room with more trapdoors 2. Remove the blocks above/behind the slabs (now trapdoors) and fill in with 3 compost blocks for the villagers to target 3. Fill in any surrounding caves to prevent the Golems from spawning there 4. MAKE SURE to place the torches as shown in the tutorial, on EACH step leading to the surface from the zombie/villager room. The Golems WILL spawn there if you do not. 5. Try adding a second zombie to the boats if you are only having 1 or 2 villagers experiencing 'panic' I'm not sure if some of these are pointless, however after doing all of the above the farm began to work flawlessly for me. wait, pillagers have finite arrows ?!
Also, I suggest a slab roof to prevent iron golems to spawn on top of it, although that should not be possible.
@@cloudalpha7163 i'm pretty sure they can, yeah. i play on a server that i don't believe has any pillager related mods on it and a player has a collection of harmless pillagers in their base.
Just a tip: I put carpets below the boats in the villager pods, as I had golems spawn in there and kill the zombies
Awesome, I got done building it just for it to not work, then I look at the comments and realize that it doesn't work on bedrock, would have been great to know, like in the thumbnail or description atleast.
Do we need to put the zombies an etiquet so that they won't deasapear ?
No, being in a boat ist enough. Mobs in boats don't despawn. Smart Trick and this is about the only Ironfarm using it.
@@jano4237 They're despawning anyway
@@gabschannel3871 maybe you forgot the torch on the very bottom step, then iron golems will spawn, kill the zombie and afterwards suffocate.
Or maybe you're playing on a modded server, in that case a nametag could work
In the bedroom chamber, can you replace the 2 slabs to trap like in the middle so the eye level of zombie can't be block and make the villager panic?
I just finished this farm then I just realized it doesn’t work on bedrock.
Nah I just finished you serious

*Make villager rooms 1 block further (or pool 2 blocks wider).*
Explanation: golem some chance of spawning in point which are ~9 blocks from nearest villager in other room. When golem spawns, all vilagers in 10 blocks radius can notice it and then they will not spawn golem soon. So istead of 4 golem you will get less.
if soemone doesnt wnat to afk just make a chunk loader
this farm is really useful
thanks LaZ1en for this design
What do I do if the villagers are not scared of the zombies?
yea same problem here
@@gerard9866 same
ig break the boat
;-;
@@animecribes it'll despawn and hit the villagers
Muuuuuu
Bro ur video was so informative but one thing u have to do is that u haven't mentioned that it should be on flat land u mentioned that but it was late i made this farm on a land which wasn't flat and then I have to rebuild it on a flat land so mention that in the starting or in title or description ☺️
omg yeah my bad, sorry i forgot to mention that
you could've terraformed the land using dirt to make it flat, hopefully you didnt go through too much trouble lmao
I've been trying to get this working for a couple hours now and I legit can't get the zombies into the boats, they keep walking on the boats and then despawning after a while, I'm not sure why they wont get in them at all any ideas are helpful
my villagers are scared but they are not even spawning iron golemns only one pod is spawning them any tips?
I have exatly same broblem did you figure it out
Works greatly also in 1.19.3 :D
Where should i afk?
thanks

It’s a really good farm with insane production rates and it’s very easy to build.
Well this one works like crazy. I leave it alone for just a little while I come back to almost 2 full storages of iron. Very efficient.
if anyone is wondering it works in 1.20 (at least for me right now)
Would the use of nether portals in place of the water pushing system increase the rates by a bit?
that's actually a great farm, thank you very much man
Epic farm and very easy to build.i built this in 1.19.4 .very good❤❤
Great tutorial! are nametags needed for the zombies?
No if you placed a boat and the zombies are in the boat they never will desspawn
the problem with this design is, the villagers can always see the zombies, so they never sleep, which break the farm pretty quickly.
This farm is very good and is helping me alot and it is helping me get more iron too this is very efficient too😁
Why does it have to be 30 blocks deep?
I made this farm on my crossplay server.😅 Works so well.
I just added this to my SuperFlat world as well! I had the dimensions wrong for the 7 blocks down, but I figured that part out pretty quickly. Now, I have so much iron that I am leveling enchanting, mending weapons/armor, and using the emeralds from my villager transactions like a king amongst peasants! (maniacal laughter)
