    Hi Jonathan,
    Have to agree it is COOL looking. It's amazing how accurate you can get just using your eyes. I bet it's nice having all that room available to work. Looking forward to the next installment. You and Katie stay safe.

    Have you ever used bluebird servos? I just installed a set in a 50cc 3d plane and so far they are great!

    • @thelightersideofrc
      @thelightersideofrc  3 роки тому +1

      I have never used them in my planes. The owner of this F 15 installed them in one of his larger aerobatic planes last year and likes them.

      Good to know...... I could not find alot of reviews on them online so I wasn't sure really. I know you get what you pay for but comparable servos from others are a bit to pricey for me. Lol.

    • @thelightersideofrc

    • @thelightersideofrc

      Thanks for watching Cory! The edges and exposed wood will get sealed. The pipes will be getting some wood mounting points so once that is done we will seal the remaining exposed wood.

    Wow. What a build! I’ve recently become a big fan of your channel. Very informative. I have just completed my first turbine build - I ran it up today and after some idle time I did some short half throttle tests. Full throttle was met with a big plume of white smoke and the turbine stopped. Any thoughts? Brand new KingTech G142. Diesel with KingTech oil. Thanks!!

    • @thelightersideofrc
      @thelightersideofrc  3 роки тому

      Awesome, thank you for watching the vids! Here are a few steps to do first. you may already know this stuff but.
      1. re learn radio to ecu.
      2. start turbine and let it settle to idle rpm.
      3. slowly increase the throttle stick to max over about 20 seconds.
      4. let it stay at full throttle till it settles at max rpm.
      5. Take note of pump power at full throttle (PW)
      6. go back to idle and turn off turbine.
      7. go into settings to pump power and check number. often from factory this will come very high.
      8. take your max pump power number you got and add 20%. So if you were at 400 PW you will want 480 as your pump pw.
      9. so if your PW setting is at 900 drop it down to 480.
      10. Restart turbine and slowly increase throttle to max over 20 seconds. let it stabilize at max rpm.
      11. Enjoy.

      Hello Natesh. Best suggestion is get in touch with Mike at Global Jet club and see if he can get some for you. These come with the FB jet kits so should be a part that’s available to buy.

    Can you please tell me where to buy this jet I hope it's not too much money you never mentioned how much it cost can I buy this on a budget I only have $500? Oh one more question what size engines does this jet come with and is this a good jet for beginner

    • @thelightersideofrc
      @thelightersideofrc  3 роки тому +1

      Hello Papa. Well if you add another zero to your budget you can probably buy the airframe! When it's all said and done this plane is probably in the range of about 15K - 18K USD to put together depending on equipment choice. Something like this is not a great beginner jet.

    Have Bluebird servos gotten better in quality? Ive had a couple of Bluebird servos years ago and found them to be a bit.....'meh'. I especially found the plastic case Bluebird servos to be brittle.

    • @thelightersideofrc
      @thelightersideofrc  3 роки тому +3

      On the L39 build from last year the owner got 3 plastic case ones for the gear doors. They were terrible and we changed them. These are some of their high end ones. They seem good. The owner likes them. Only JR in my jets!
