If you read a bit between the lines, you'll see why John doesn't play with Queen anymore (or with anyone for that matter). Seems that Queen was two tag-teams: John&Freddie and Roger&Brian. On Freddie's demise John was probably the one that took it the hardest - because Freddie was the charismatic supporter to John's timid character. Don´t Stop me Now flopped in 1978/79, but nowadays it has become one of the most popular Queen tune. It seems like "Jazz" is a late bloomer album, and is getting appreciated more and more.
Interesting the ebb and flow of relationship dynamics- I always thought that they all connected with each other on different levels at different times. Very fluid. However I think that John and Freddie bonded over their shyness. John who I suspect had suffered with social anxiety would not only have a drink to quell the nerves but watch Freddie put on his stage persona and feel empowered enough to join. There were times he used to join Freddie by playing next to the piano- I thought it might have been to make sure they were perfectly together. Perhaps, but maybe Freddie was John’s ‘rock’ on stage someone that was there and he knew it would be alright? Then when Freddie died John didn’t have his reassuring shadow by his side and decided that it was over for him.
i would like to know the story behind "The March Of The Black Queen" 10 minutes?! It took Freddie that long to make one of their best songs? Jesus, he's amazing!

I’m really glad the guys didn’t take the critics to heart. Otherwise Queen would have been boring as hell. They evolved because they were four geniuses with different ideas that they managed to meld.
"Jazz" is underrated, because "Bicycle Race" has silly call-and-response lyrics, but musically it´s a gem. The same goes for "Fat Bottomed Girls"......... Don´t Stop me Now flopped in 1978/79, but nowadays it has become one of the most popular Queen tune. It seems like "Jazz" is a late bloomer album, and is getting appreciated more and more.
3:03 WE MISS YOU JOHN!😎
the making of crazy little thing has better definition than official video, OMG!
Jazz is the absolute best album ever
I love it too!
He wrote the song in the bath for 10 mins !!
Favorite song❤❤❤ Queen forever😍😍
Yup. Good song.
Just 10 mins. to forever..
Gracias a Official Queen Channel por continuar enviándonos vídeos estupendos.
I've heard high school bands do "Don't Stop Me Now" at American football games. Cream always rises to the top.
This song truly reminds me of Elvis. He would've been so proud.
FREDDIE IN LATE SEVENTIES IS THE MOST BABY THING THAT EXISTS.
Queen: “The story behind crazy little thing called love”
Also Queen: precedes to also show the story behind another one bites the dust
i would like to know the story behind "The March Of The Black Queen"
10 minutes?! It took Freddie that long to make one of their best songs? Jesus, he's amazing!
I just saw the Elvis Presley version of Crazy Little Thing Called Love...and it was pretty damn good to..but yes I've always loved the Queens version also!
And Freddie Mercury is an incredible singer, with not only this song but with other songs he's done.
Elvis never had a version of this song. He passed in 77.
@@mosescastelo7945 Excuse me,but I heard and saw the Elvis Presley version of Crazy Little Thing Called Love on youtube ok? Smartass!..
And so I really don't appreciate being called a liar.
And if you don't believe me look it up yourself unless you're a coward..but I did see it on youtube...so why would I have any reason to lie?...well the fact is I wouldn't! especially if I can prove it,and I did.
You just have to look it up for yourself,if you have any doubts or questions.
And also the fact is Crazy Little Thing Called Love have been done by several different artists...and it didn't necessarily have had to be done in 1977..but it could have been done anytime in the 1960's era or the early to mid 1970's era alright?
@@mosescastelo7945 Go to Amazing Daviator Productions here on youtube or just put in Crazy Little Thing Called Love Elvis and it's here!...also Dwight Yoakim did a version of it also, and it's on youtube also.
And my friend just told me that Elvis actually died in 1978 not 1977.
And Queen came around in the 1980's and redid the song..so about 4 to 6 years after Elvis had already passed away.
@@chancycat9822watch the video Moron!!
John looks like the sweetest of persons.I bet that Freddie’s death really hit him harder than everybody,he was the closest one to him like Roger was closer to Brian
Actually Roger and Freddie were best friends; "soulmates" according to Jim Hutton.
Freddie really did write it in 10 minutes? While in the bath!? Amazing...
Also, this is the first time I’ve heard John speak
I love the Jazz album
Four LEGENDS
What maid them famous the tribute song to Elvis world wide and there was no stopping then for the group Queen long live the king
Thank you, Freddy, for your homage to Elvis.
I was still grieving Elvis' death in 1979 when I first heard this and knew immediately it was a tribute by Freddie which was confirmed shortly after its release.
Just think about this a song written in 10 minutes by one person reached #1
How Queen wrote songs: ''Quickly! Let's finish it before Brian gets here!''
i like queen..
I knew queen rocked...and i was 12years old.
Jazz? It was on the game in north america ..i love that freakin song....
That was the moment i realized old stuff was cool
as young kids we had no cell phones or net and no clue or care what critics thought , we liked the songs and bought the albums that had the songs . Done .
God damn! Calling Queen Versatile is doing them a disservice! Unbelievable how talented! 🤘👍✊️✌️
As an American, I was never into the songs that made it big here like Crazy Little Thing Calked Love, or Under Pressure. They were good songs, but I absolutely adored BoRap and all the big Euro hits.
The insane thing is If Elvis did this it would be in the Smithsonian as the perfect Pop song.
It's an excellent album!!!
... finally a real Queen video
Damn, I was enjoying that documentary then it abruptly ends!
@ 2:44............... love this video...
Classics!
Yknow what. Roger is seventy. And still attractive. I’m not ashamed, lmao.
magnífico! gracias! por tu tiempo!
When I first heard this song on the radio i thought it was Elvis. I was in a 3 day shock when I found out it was a Queen’s song.
Fenomenal.
freddie channeling his inner elvis with this song....this song was made for elvis to sing
This was made after Elvis died
@@herpline269 but it is a perfect song for evis to sing
@@herpline269 Yes , but written as a tribute to him, as if Elvis could have recorded it. It's got the "Elvis vibe" all over the song.
One of their best albums, Rolling Stone is deaf.
