Can I Fix My Turfmaster Engine Surging Issue by Cleaning the Carburetor?

- In this video, I clean the carburetor on my Toro Turfmaster HDX. The Kawasaki engine has been surging prior to blade engagement. Hopefully cleaning the carburetor fixes the issue, otherwise I will need to get a new one.

Same mower. I had a bad ignition coil and bought an oem one from local dealer. Put new spark plug in it and then cleaned carb. It runs rough. Very rich. Recleaned the carb like in this video but no luck. It fouls the plug in about an hour. No oil in the gas. Good gas. I’m at my wits end.
Maybe adjust the throttle or new OEM carb? It could be idling to low of RPM’s. In my experience, sometimes cleaning a carb isn’t enough. You just have to get a new one. I like OEM for this. I think this is the one…

Otherwise, it might be time to FB Market and look for a replacement.
Hope this helps and good luck!
@@theSuburbiaDad Thank you for the reply. I found it’s puffing air out the intake. So maybe valves or bad head gasket. I’m taking it down the road to a local small engine shop. Thank you again.
My brand new turfmaster with only like 2 hours on it never wants to start just hate it already had to re time the blades on it too.
Saved me from buying a new carburetor.
Nice!!! Thanks for watching.
What happened to the Timemaster?
Sold it! I wanted something commercial. I really do wish the Turfmaster had Personal Pace like the Timemaster. I find the handle bar situation to be a bit awkward on the Turfmaster. It took me a while to get use to it. Side note, I saw Toro in Lowes recently. The Timemasters were hidden in top stock of the paint department. Next time you go into one, scope out where they are hiding. Thank you for your continued support and being an OG of the channel.
@@theSuburbiaDad Yes sir I'm always lurking around your garage! Thinking about adding a used Timemaster this season👍🏾
