I've watched a lot of these verses videos and you are the first to show the price of the "free" adapter for the backbone, and the shipping cost of $5, also there is a 30-40-dollar price difference, plus the backbone has an app that you need to download, first year is free, but it's $49.99 per year after that on top of any other subscriptions that you may have
Picked up the Kishi for $60 from my local Walmart which had several in stock a few weeks back (I wasn't shopping for one just came across it browsing electronics section) and have been very pleased with the purchase. Actually I've been surprisingly impressed, and never leave home without it. With unlimited data plan through att (throttles speed once over 22gb I believe) I'm able to play horizon 4 and 5, killer instinct gold, mortal kombat 11, and diablo 2 resurrected just fine. And as far as horizon 5 goes its the only way I can access any online play or features is through using cloud play on phone or MacBook through internet browser as with it installed I receive horizon server's unavailable for months now and have tried every tip and trick to troubleshoot with no luck yet

Public service announcement/warning: This product now has a $50 yearly subscription for the app to have functionality. They do not state the cost it anywhere on their website or app store. You get the first year free then need to pay yearly. Its basically a $100 controller unless you want to cough up the extra $50 yearly. I would recommend staying away and waiting for the upcoming Razer Kishi V2 (has a free app called Razer Nexus).
New packaging for the backbone should have the iPhone 13 adapter included now (in Australia at least). However one thing they get you on is after the first "free year", the app NOW costs $79.95 AUD PER YEAR. And the app is the attractive part of the backbone. Refuse to spend that much money for a subscription on an app for a product that already costs almost $200AUD. Supremely disappointed as the backbone felt nice, and the app well thought out but that's a hard money grab to be asking that much a year for a "firmware" app.
The backbone has an official adapter for the 13 pro and max to accommodate for the larger camera bump. I went to their website and it says that the adapters come with each purchase, but don’t quote me on this, I could be wrong

The Backbone, oh man, it felt like a dream to hold, like it had turned my iPhone into a legitimate console. I love it. I also have a GameSir X2, which is a nice controller. It’s shortcomings are very clicky shoulder butttons, and lack of resistant triggers. That controller is perfect for action games that don’t require resistive triggers. I was going to get the Kishi controller mainly because it folds up smaller and fits in a bag, BUT, the lack of a backbone/spine, makes it floppier and doesn’t hold together as well.
I did get the Kishi, and it is number 2 behind the Backbone. The buttons aren’t horrible, and it’s comfortable. The biggest issue with it, is it unfolds and disconnects if you tighten your grip too much.
It wasn’t titled which one he would use it was titled as a comparison he just compared their differences. I have the backbone and I really enjoy it because even though you have to pay with a subscription, it gives you access to cloud gaming so you could play Grandtheft auto five or to Apex legends, and so on without having to use your Xbox and without having to be home or having to use your PlayStation or PC
The backbone literally comes with an adapter out of the box, and an android version was made.
