    Man, "Ramblin Rose" at Tarter Field was epic. And Waynes slide across the stage made it even more bad-ass! I would have loved to have been there, but I was only 4 years years old.

      Me too my friend. Always wanted to learn to play guitar, but life always got in the way. Now at 55 I finally have the time and money to do it, and I'm addicted!

    Professor Kramer! :) It's always an honor to hear you play, speak, and drop your wisdom on everything from rock&roll to human rights, I saw ya at the Troc in Philly back in 2004. I co founded my first band in 1988 at 14 years old, and I learned your songs by playing along to The Debut, Back In The USA, and my personal favorite, High Time. You and the late Fred "Sonic" Smith played so well together, masters of what Keith Richards called "basketweaving" (his best weaving partner being Mick Taylor, basically when its hard to tell who's playing which part, because the two parts are so harmonious, it sounds like one guitar). As a matter of fact, you are explaining exactly what I am talking about whilst you are explaining how you approached how you and Sonic blended your rhythm parts, attacked and intertwined your solos. (Its very difficult to find another guitarist to meld with like that). Basically you, Sonic, Steve Jones, Ace Frehley and Johnny Thunders among others in the United States Hardcore Punk community of the 1980's, were my guitar teachers!!

    I don’t play guitar but Im a huge fan. Saw the MC5 a few times with the Stooges in the early 70’s. It was pure ass kickin R&R. Wayne always stole the show. His foot slide was epic 💪🏼

    But... I guess the MC5 had a 7" out by 1967 !
    "I Can Only Give You Everything" with "One of the Guys"... so I believe these were the first tunes you could hear by them.

    I've been wanting to cover this song for a long time. The only way I can belt out the falsetta is if I'm totally relaxed and carry some attitude. Is that an Epiphone Wilshire? That guitar has the coolest Marshall overdrive tone ever.😎

  • @stevekastenbaum6678
    @stevekastenbaum6678 Рік тому +1

    Love this video. Is that the same Epiphone you played in the early 70's? I've been looking high and low and I can't find an example of it quite like yours with what appear to be mini-humbuckers. I'd love to pick up an Coronet with two pickups rather than the single pick up version. Better than the SG Jr, in my opinion.

      This model is called Wilshire, Epiphone ran a limited reissue around mid 2010's, i could get one in 2020 after years of pursue. It's really a great guitar, to me, it's the perfect one.

    I always wondered if Bon Scott heard this cover before he joined AC/DC and thought to himself that he really liked the vocal choice by Wayne on this song and the rest is history. Bon sure didn't use it in the Valentines.

    Hi Wayne.. you (MC 5) made a perfect cover of Ted Taylor´s version, but the real sh.t was Jerry Lee Lewis´original. Even the original lyrics make more sense .. and you always got the verses (2 and 3) played in reverse order... Anyway - not mentioning Jerry Lee is criminal
