Thank you so much for this video I just bought my first Franklin Cristoph model 66. The first pen that is actually long enough without having to post it. I love it.😊
I’ve watched this video no less than 3 times now. Wonderful collection Rebecca. Your delivery is pleasant and very informative. I have one Franklin Christoph in my collection-a Model 31 Smoke & Ice, Medium Stub Nagahara grind-with my eye on a few more. Thanks for sharing and happy writing!
What a beautiful collection of pens and nibs! I have a few F-C pens, but recently got my first model 45 in the Olivae material. I love the size and shape. For now I have refilled a cartridge, but one day I hope to eyedropper it. I got it with a broad SIG nib, which is my favorite of the nib options. I will have to keep an eye out for a stub nib next time I purchase. Thank you so much for sharing your collection and your favorite nib grinds! 🧡🖋
This video is very timely for me! I just bought the Model 45 Matte Salmon Glow last night. This is my third Franklin Christoph pen. I also have the Model 40 Pocket sized and the Model 66. I have one of their pen boxes that I really like too. Thanks for helping me to get excited for the arrival of my new pen!
Brilliant. thank you for this. I have my eyes on the model 31 Nuclear green/salmon glow in my cart. I think I'll just start off getting a broad steel nib. But I'll probably do another one down the road with a 14k. I am excited.... I love the fun colors. I am really impressed that there isn't more staining on the clear ones that you have eye droppered. Must be that interesting texture inside??
It might be that the material the clear Franklin-Christoph pens are made from is non-porous, so doesn’t absorb the ink. But I’m also careful about what I choose to put in it, choosing only water soluble inks (nothing with permanent properties or pigment). Thanks for watching!
I attended the Dallas Pen Show today. I purchased a Model 55 with a B SIG nib by Audrey Matteson. Lovely pen. I am curious… do any of your pens have a converter? If so, is it smooth all the way around or can you feel a seam on two sides? I’m worried my converter may be cracked.
I just ordered a 45 cursive italic F, though I am HIGHLY interested in an Audrey-ground SIG F. I couldn‘t decide between Scottish Heather, Candystone, and Cathedral, so I just said ‘F*kcIt’ and ordered the Heather because I don’t fatigue on purple + green and that contrasting section kept catching my eye. I am looking forward to only my second non-Pilot birthday pen. That SIG nib, though. Maybe it will be next year’s.
You have more bravery than me, I’m still scared of cursive italic nibs. Maybe in another year or so after more practice with the SIG I’ll get the nerve to go for a CI. Enjoy it!
@@ThatLoganChick000 I do fine with my couple of sharp-cornered Pilot italic nibs, but would be interested in a lefty-underwriter-specific grind, just to see how it differs from a righty grind!
Tried looking up...what you said for the "black, pink, blue"...but I don't know how to spell it and so Google couldn't find it. I'm so curious. What's an "oohpic" (upic, oopick...)?
It’s the bone in a whale’s penis. I think it’s an Inuit word. They have a curve around halfway, like the artifact in the pen body. Very silly, but unseeable.
@@ThatLoganChick000 I found it by looking it up as an Inuit word...but it's ooSik (instead of oopik). I had never heard of it either way...and now I've learned something new today! :)
I am in Whitehorse...and cannot find Jack on instagram...can you please help me find him? Calgary and your Edmonton are the closest to me for a nibmeister...thank you Rebecca
What an amazing collection! Learned a lot! Thanks for posting!

I love their SIG & Nagahara CI nib grinds… they’re regular nibs are aces too.. gorgeous pens!
Cool vid!
Thank you. One of these days I’ll get the nerve to try a CI.

That Olivae is beautiful. A broad SIG will be lovely!
Thank you for your video on Franklin Christoph, I learned a lot. Subscribed !
Thanks!

Good for you! I’d be excited for the Salmon Glow, too.

When you took out the Amber Ice pen, I thought there was one of the frequent cat hairs on my screen-until you removed the hair from your pen. 😂

If you let Franklin-Christoph know you’re a lefty underwriter they will grind specifically for you.
@@ThatLoganChick000 Too late alas. I ordered on Friday and it shipped immediately!
Hey! I'm in the same area! Could I get a link to Jack?
You can reach Jack Hernandez on Instagram. His id is jackokun and he will return your dm.

Thank you for finding it and correcting me. I was beginning to wonder if I had imagined the whole thing!

I can’t find him now, either. He must have quit Instagram. I’m so sorry!
