My Mom passed this summer. She suffered from Alzheimer’s and this was the last song I ever heard her sing.
People are probably tired of reading me comment this, but I'm going to anyways. This song saved my life. I was in a dark place and fate made this appear as a suggestion for me to watch. I hadn't sobbed that hard in a while. Dan made me feel less alone in this world and that I'm not alone in trying our best everyday as flawed human beings. I'm not religious, but it felt like God hugged my heart. I hope someday he happens upon one of my comments. If he does, I want him to know how thankful I am for him. As Dan says, have an epic day!
I'm glad your heart heard. Go out and spread kindness in the world as best you can in thanks. God does reach out and touch our hearts, often in music. Thank the One who created Dan Vasc by doing what you can to make this world better. Very small things are very important. Never forget that. You are loved by the One who created you, me and this metal singer.

This is a recent song, he released it for Easter. The song you are talking about him recording a few days after his dad passed away is "American Trilogy. You will see him sing it with such emotion. And added a picture of him and his father.

Great reaction...Moms know best! Amazing Grace was released this past April. The song he recorded a few days after his dad died is American Trilogy, his dad's favorite Elvis Presley song. Very emotional performance. Dan is unbelievably skilled, a vocal range like none other. His channel is loaded with so many outstanding, unique, dynamic performances. Enjoy.
The harmonica was given to him in childhood by his father. His dad passed in 2017, not a few days prior to this; however it was apparently one of his father's favorites so he was undoubtedly thinking of him. Thank you for reviewing this and your mom for recommending this song. This song is so powerful that I still get chills when listening even after 200 or more times. Dan Vasc has stated he is a Christian and he put this out in time for Easter. I'm sure I will never hear a better version. I was not a fan of metal until Dan Vasc showed me how it can be done to touch the soul. Dan Vasc emphasizes that he put years of training and practice into developing this powerful voice, that it is not just innate talent but hard work. This Brazilian metal singer is a phenom.

Hey. We're obviously both fans of the incredible Senhor Vasc. You were thinking I think of his rendition of American Trilogy. That one was done within days of his father's passing. I don't know about you but he opened me up to a whole new world of music and revived my passion for it when it had gone dormant. Keep rockin'@@chaoticbore
Actually, it was the Elvis cover An American Trilogy that he recorded a few days after his father's passing in 2017.

Your mother has a very good taste in music 👍♥️. Dan Vasc is an outstanding musician. He has sung so many fantastic songs by other great musicians, some even better than the originals. Watch and listen to the witcher series. But actually it doesn't matter what you start with.... They're all good. The "sound of silence" is a big favorite for me. He also has his own band "Fearless". Great reaction! Thanks to your mom for recommending it. This video kept popping up in my youtube feed a few months ago. When I finally gave in and clicked on it, I was an immediate and forever fan of Dan Vasc. It's not true that his dad passed away shortly before this video. Dan released Amazing Grace on Good Friday, 2023. His father passed away in 2017 from cancer. It is true that his father gifted him the harmonica when Dan was a child. You should really check out some of his other work. Most of his work is heavy metal, but he also does Opera (Nessum Dorma), Phantom of the Opera, a few songs from Disney animations (check out "I'll Make a Man Out of You" from Mulan) and others. He can literally sing anything. His voice, breath control, and vocal range are incredible. Delve into the Dan Vasc rabbit hole and you'll soon be a member of the "Vasc Nation."
Yay to your mom for suggesting such a great song....this one will be playing when my times comes to exit this world. And frankly, I think you are the type of person Dan would really like! Can't wait to see more from you!

Excellent reaction! Got to correct something I saw in the chat, though - the song that Dan did just days after his dad's death was An American Trilogy, in October 2017. Dan released this one on Good Friday this year, to draw more people's attention back to Easter. Dan can sing absolutely anything, including opera. Loved watching your reaction!

He records in his garage that he has converted into his recording studio. He also records the songs several times to get just the right one that he uses. Also he does not lip sync his songs, they are all really sung live. I have heard him talk about this and also heard others speak of it. He is truly an amazing no pun intended but he is the full package with all he can do.

The harmonica was given to him from his dad when he was a little boy. Dan still has the box it came in. His American Trilogy video is dedicated to his dad and created four days after his death due to cancer.😢

One thing...the info you got about the harmonica was slightly off. It was given to him by his father...IF this is the one (his FIRST one was given to him by his father, when Dan was still a young boy, which would indicate that he has had others since then), but his father passed away on October 3, 2017, whereas "Amazing Grace" was just published on April 7, 2023--for Easter of this year. The song that Dan published on October 9, 2017 (six days after his dad passed away) was "An American Trilogy," a cover of Elvis' orchestral (with the Philharmonic Orchestra) version, because it was his father's favorite song. Watching THAT one turns into a very emotional time for just about everyone who watches it. I would love it if you'd react to that one!

Dan was on the 2022 Podcasts Bragging Rights. In one episode, Dan showed a harmonica that he found in his father’s possessions after he passed away. Dan played a smaller harmonica first that looked like a Marine Band. He then showed a German harmonica that was his fathers. It was in the original box and was about 50 years old. I have that same harmonica in the box. The harmonica in Amazing Grace is a different one than the other two. I think he plays this harmonica in Loch Lomand too.

Dan Vasc is a wonderful Brazilian singer. He is a Christian. He also is a very unique person with many gifts. All of his music is great. I believe that "Amazing Grace" should be sung lime it. The words of this so g deserve to be loud gor what God gad done for us..
