You can be better just do it, plaque after plaque and you'll notice the diffirence, all you need is to love what you do, to continue doing it for a long time
Thank you, i'm using cedar wood in this video, but there is a lot you can use, basswood, beech, mahogany... matt varnish, or water based clear coat, linseed oil also, it's up to the result you want.
Hello! I am just starting to get into *very* basic low relief carving. After seeing your video one question pops into my mind: How the hell do you remove wood from deep, tight spaces (like the small spaces between branches)? Do you use a special tool or black magic?
Hey man I’m a wood carver as well, I will be trying out relief carving for the first time soon, but my gouges are not that nice, where did you get yours? Also what would you recommend for large scale removal on a background
Hey man, my gouges also not so good, i use some tools from a local woodcarving store, i think PEUGEOT tools are good... For large scale removal wide fishtail gauges going to do the job
a lot of patience and persistence is needed for this job. Congratulations on your work and the video as well

How long did this take you to complete?
Never mind. I see you answered it in another comment.
14 hours... Wow! Amazing work!
thank you so much, 14 hours divided into 4 days because I was working on another project
Parabéns pelos seus lindos trabalhos. Vc é muito bom Deus lhes abençoe sempre.
thank you very much :)
Beautiful work! What wood did you use? Your chisels arecso sharp, move through wood like butter! I can't carve a straight line, even with my Dremel!
great
Thank you 👍
What kind of wood and how thick? Beautiful work
It's cedar wood
Wow. Can you tell me what size gouges you used in this piece? Is this basswood? Thanks.
Thank you, the gouges i've used are between 12 and 25 mm, and this is moroccan cedar, it is soft also but not much as basswood, and it smells good
Piękna sprawia tego dzieła
thank you
Все здорово ,только два вопроса .1) это сосна или ошибаюсь ? 2) А почему сразу не обработали торцы или будет вставляться в рамку ?
this is cedarwood, it has a yellow color and thin fibers, it's nice for carving.
i didn't understand the second question
what kind of wood is that. I'm just starting. I bought some basswood today
this is cedar I'm working on, and basswood is perfect for wood carving, just go with it...
and have fun doing woodcarving
👍👍👍
Which wood
Best for carving?
Please answer?
There is many, lime, cedar, beech..
What i use most is cedar and beech, and i'm going to start carving white willow, it is soft, i'll give it a try.
Thanks

Hahah no black magic, i have 2mm and 3mm chisel that can help me go into narrow spaces, you can find them online or make one by yourself
