The better play from what you described is to use hand trimmer then afterwards use Eri. That way they take their huge hand and limit it down to 5 cards keeping key cards they want. Then you Eri and take those key cards leaving them with almost nothing.
That was my first thought. A bibarel sqwovet based deck has the potential to fair well against this deck. I have a garchomp tyranitar deck that could thrive here and accelerate energies to any Pokémon from the discard. Just pray you don’t overbench and accelerate to the right Pokémon and you can attack/retreat each turn
Sounds fun, but it's at minimum a 3 card combo to force a single draw from your opponent. Sure drawing 1 card yourself sounds neat, but it's really not worth all the effort for this specific strategy. I'd love to see this Chandelure getting played though
Iono, judge, or anything that shuffles in your hand would be an easy play to go against the deck. And as long as my hand isn't massive and they play a hand trimmer
Neutral center-PLAY ONLY WHEN YOU 100% SURE THEY HAVE NO ANSWERS TO GET RID OF THAT STADIUM...ONCE THAT STADIUM HITS THE DISCARD PILE. IT STAYS THERE. ..MAKE SURE THE OPPONENT HAS TO ATTACKS, THAT DISCARD IT. NO ITEMS, SUPPORTER'S OR STADIUMS.. PLAY AT RIGHT TIME ...THIS CARD IS A CHECKMATE CARD TO ONLY PLAY WHEN YOU KNOW FOR SURE IT WON'T BE DISCARDED
I remeber a tool cards which rhe effect is if the pokemon that have this tool card attached get KO you discard 1 casual card from your opponment's hand
Yes and no. The stadium works because you try to run your opponent out of key resources that would bump your stadium. Thus, making it so all your Pokemon are save from their rule box mons (which is a majority of decks) You could use the energy early if you get it. But you're likely wanting to get the stadium into the late game when you have it locked down and they can't attack. And if anyone says stuff like "Single prize attackers will kill you" doesn't matter. Those single prize decks would kill you through legacy energy most of the time anyway (Sableye)
You know they really need to change the stupid deck out rule. It has became such a huge problem and has allowed so many stupid control and stall decks to win.
No. I played control since 1994’with mtg. Dont like it, play something else, but you can’t dictate how people have fun or not with their own deck. That’s immature. It’s actually funny, I ONLY See this complaint in Pokemon, no other TCG . And it doesn’t make much sense
@@nickfanzo Doesn't make any sense??? Control decks basically saying, hey, you have a nice deck there, but actually, you cannot use anything of it, or, Ima take away the things that you can use. That is not what Pokémon is about. You could literally blank the cards, make them only texts and effects and control would still be the same. But the important thing, being a Pokémon Trainer, battling with your friends, being in a kind of rivalry of who is stronger, is absolutely ignored. Like what, if you just want to discard my cards, here is my deck, you can just put it straight to the discard pile, cause you won't be doing anything else anyway. Thats not what Pokémon is about. I don't understand why this is even a win con. There are other TCGs, where, if your deck is out of cards, you just reshuffle the Discard pile.
@@PHGRPhantomias again. It’s not broken and control has been an archtype for decades in TCG games . You’re just salty and bitter. Maybe you should try control yourself, you may learn how to beat it without feeling like it’s unfair or broken Like most of the pros say, sounds like a skill problem
Control decks like this one are good control. A lot can go right, a lot can go wrong, and there is a lot of thought involved in how you fuck over your opponent and your opponent has the opportunity to respond. When I think of control that are uhhh bad and unfun to play/play against, I think of vileplume/decidueye GX, which turn one item locks and does hundreds to the bench. Nothing any deck can do about it, which is why it was banned
@@PHGRPhantomiascontrol decks are very healthy for the meta game currently. It forces you to use otherwise suboptimal cards which can allow otherwise broken strategies to be kept at bay.
Heads-up - Tempting trap doesn't drag a Pokémon into the active - it locks one that is already in the active.
There’s another mawile that does tho, it’s steel I believe
Theres another mawile from temporal i use in a control decks that for two colorless drags a pokemon to the active and does 30 dmg

Looks like Snorlax Stall and Great Tusk has a new friend
Glad Comfey got something new like this. I'm a control enjoyer too. Fav of mine AND it's control?! Heck yeah!
Got anymore of them Skwovets?!
Yeah Arceus kills against this deck

Once all the rods are gone, counter catch KO w mimikyu
The Luvdisc from Lost Origin is the 2-card version of this deck 😊.
This deck seems really funny. I love Comfey so I'll definitely be trying it out!
Awesome video! Thank you!
Man we haven't had a good comfey deck in a very long time!
what?
I know right. “Laughs in lost box”
Nah guys, that's Colress/Comfey lol

Came across one of these on Live, was pretty interesting.
Dare I ask for some narrated gameplay? maybe like some WSOP commentary during an observed match. Just would like to see it, its a thought.
How about pairing this with Chandelure TWM?

It means you can use lux cape a bit more aggressively early to bait a vacuum before putting down the stadium. Its pretty cool :D

@20eyesmisfit lux cape isnt an ace spec

Comfy vs wugtrio mill. Which mill deck is better
You see deck out by drawing. I see giving my new Chandelure from TWM another 90 damage. We are not the same.
I wonder if the ace spec special energy that reduces prize card of a pokemon by 1 would work instead of the stadium
That’s a one time use
