How does this gentleman not have at the very least 100k plus subscribers!!!? Content is excellent, storytelling is excellent, Production is excellent! Thank you Chris, for the extras in my very recent Texas Provisions order. They were not expected, but very much appreciated!
I totally agree. Hit that thumbs up, that's what drives more people to get to see these in their thumbnails. I was hooked after my first one, lol (pun intended).
This has got to be my most favorite episode so far..... I love when people act real! And not act like they catch a fish on every single cast that they make Much love and respect Brother man!
This was pretty cool to see. I liked learning some of the history behind the retro bassin channel. It's awesome that you stuck with it, some pretty entertaining content, and you get to learn as well. Can't ask for any more than that!!!
I used to order a box set of floating plastic worm from BPS back in the late 80’s. I would cut the worm in half and rig it on a jig head so it would stand up vertical when at rest. No idea I as using a Ned rig, just trying new things. I miss the hours I would read the master catalog. I remember those worm colors to this day. Great memories reading it with my a Dad.
Man what a cool surprise and some awesome memorabilia from your Japanese friend! Just goes to show you everybody is crazy about fishing around the world!!!
Really enjoy your channel. I worked at Bass Pro in Lawrenceville GA. For 7 years and saw many lures come and go. Got to meet Gary Yamamoto a few times. Super cool guy.
I remember that catalogue so funny. I just found WHAT I think are helicopter lures in my storage. Good history of you I just did a video like this, but I started in 1989 hahaha
@@RetroBassin I would troll Port A and SPI jetties in that little tub! I remember the ads where they cut up a Whaler with a chainsaw and floated on the pieces. "Unsinkable"

Hey man I forgot to tell you that I got the retro bass' shirt!! I love it. I'm glad I ordered a large because I'm about 5'9" and 170lbs and it's fits nicely, not to small not to large and baggey. My only worry is if I wash it I may shrink too much!? Ps. Also thanks for the sweet sticker! You're awesome my dude! 🐟Keep on retroin'

I need to find a way to get toptou over here in the states! Looks like a good read! P.S. if buckskin lake is still around, and still fishable, it would be a cool video to go back and fish the lake
It's a wonder no one here has come up with a retro fishing all tackle magazine being old reels, rods & lures seem to be a very hot ticket item among fishermen
