Thank you for the "trip" back in time. I used to have a good amount of those lures in my Rebel tackle box, which was the 6 tray with a transparent green top.
Awesome! Took me back to the 70’s and early 80’s. Won a club tournament on the tube worm. Ok to drive down from South Dakota and pick up that bag of Gatortails?
Great video Man U have a nice collection a lot of new old stock which is always cool to see in tack brings a lot of memories seeing some of those older packagings especially the cotton Cordell and Manns packaging.
Impressive collection. I like that mid 80’s Rebel packaging too. I’ve got some Racket Shads in that packaging and to me it looks great as a backdrop to the lure. I passively collect many brands and eras of lures but among the brands I actively collect, Mann’s Bait Company stuff from the mid 70’s to mid 90’s is at the top of my list and you have some nice Mann’s stuff there. Those early 80’s Bullfin Hacklebacks NIP are really nice ones as are those dealer boxes of Jelly Worms. I also really like Mister Twister stuff of that era too and was glad when I was able to score a bunch of those Slimy Slugs and Poc-it Phenom worms. I still fish with both. The Slimy Slug catches more fish for me than Flukes and Senkos. I noticed you’ve got a few. If you don’t mind sacrificing a couple you may try it out. They work great with a twitch and pause retrieve. If not I have a few that came in bulk packaging that I could send you. It’s also impressive that you have so many cards, packages and tackle boxes in such great condition. I’m a dork like that too. I really like finding good condition packaging, reels and such. That Bass Boss tackle box looks exactly like a Fenwick 5.7 that I had back when. I stupidly got rid of it when I moved some years ago because the latch was broken and I was in a downsizing mode from the move. Wish I had kept it. Could we possibly get a run through of some of those tackle boxes sometime? Thanks for the tour.
I love reading these comments. I don’t have a favorite… but agreed the Mann’s lures are at the top of the list. I actually have a tackle box of old school worms that I fish… the ones on the shelf just had the best packaging so I kept them as a display I never thought of doing a tackle box tour… but thats a great idea. Not only for those interested in learning more about them, but seeing a closer look if they’re interested in purchase one on eBay. I’ll work getting tackle box vid out soon. Thanks for all the great comments, and thanks for watching!
@@anglingarchaeology, you mentioned that some of the tackle boxes are full so I thought showing off the contents might be an idea for a video, but even showing the empty boxes is a great idea. That would allow viewers to see the layout of various older boxes. Thanks again and BTW, that’s a nice set of Mepp’s Bass Killer spinnerbaits and that No No is a gem. They command some coin these days, especially in that condition.
That Strike King Grass Frog Jr and the St. John’s River made for some good times! Those Arkie hair jigs are money, don’t sleep on those for fishing. They still make them.
One is a 70s custom rod with an Lew’s pistol grip handle, Fenwick, early Zebco with pistol grip, and a Garcia Conolon. No rhyme or reason to those… I don’t collect rods as much. Those are ones I’ve picked up at garage sales or estate sales and used to fish with. If I find decent rods I generally sell those on eBay.
Do you know the guy from Retro Bassin? Some kinda collaboration would be awesome. You could sit around showing off all your stuff and stretch it out into a few videos
What no Garcia 300 or 308? I'm shocked. But seriously I would like to send some pic of stuff. Do I send it to your ebay account, Instagram g mail. I'm old and not that tech savvy. Most if that stuff I've had and lost but that's another story.
Haha. I know, a little light on the reel section. Thank you for reminding me. I added my email to my linktree anglingarchaeology@gmail.com Thanks for watching!
Nice collection
An absolute awesome collection!!! One day I’ll be there!!!
Heck yea! Keep collecting 👊🏼 Thanks for watching

That’s an awesome collection! Can’t believe you have a 1975 bass pro catalog
Great video and impressive collection to say the least!!!

Honestly , never thought of collecting Bass Pro Shops catalogs and I’ve been receiving them since 1983 .
The old Producers spook KO was a good bait, caught my previous PB Seatrout on one years ago. You’re right about the other models, junk lol
That’s awesome! Don’t get me wrong… fish don’t care, just a cheaper knock off lure.
Brilliant! Just plain cool as heck!

Thanks man! I really nerd out over the original packaging. Agreed, the nostalgia is what makes it fun. Thanks for watching
Great collection! Takes me back in time. Thanks!
Awesome! 👍
beautiful collection! Some smithwick lures would display real nice in that room 😊
Impressive collection.

That is a seriously awesome collection. Do you use any of them or are they just for display?
Thank you! Anything that’s not new in package gets fished. Cast and collect. Thanks for watching
I love your show! What are the two rods on the rack under your 9 pound bass?

Those Storm baits and packaging are 👍
