Great video! It's amazing what that Mig Enamel Wash does to the model. As soon as the tip of your brush touches the model for those pin washes the details appear to jump right off the surface. I need to get an airbrush system. Watching you apply the paints for the camouflage...seeing the soft transitions makes me so jealous. I could never get transitions close to those with my brush. You have such a light touch with your paintbrush. I swear, sometimes I couldn't even see the tip deform when it touched the model.
Thanks a lot mate 👍 I'm so glad you enjoy my videos and take something from them 😁 Enamel washes are great and I find being tidy with them gives you better rewards. Airbrushing isn't that difficult honestly, you just need patience and an understanding of how NOT to clog the nozzle 🤣🤣 I've spent many an hour try to unclog a nozzle 😵💫
Man how do you get such straight tiny lines on your airbrush? My just sputters out pain and it looks terrible. I also wash it out and thin the paint with water and it still looks awful.
@@paintingpanzers I use the Vallejo air, and when I clean it out I’ll just take it all apart and rinse it out with water from the inside til I don’t see any more paint. Then I will just run water through it.
@@jameson4844 ok mate, well I'd always recommend Tamiya paints for airbrushing over Vallejo. Naturally it's just personal choice BUT everyone that has problems with Vallejo that turn to Tamiya are always chuffed. I'd absolutely never clean out my airbrush with water, all that will do is clear out the thick stuff but not the small bits of paint that stick to the side of your airbrush. I'd highly recommend Mr Hobby - Airbrush Cleaner and if you stick with Vallejo, Vallejo thinners. My recommendation for you would be this; 1) Mr Hobby Airbrush Cleaner - add that to your airbrush and let it soak for a while. Do this a couple of times. Then on the last clean whilst the airbrush is still damp, take out the nozzle and give it a good clean along with the rest of the airbrush. If you follow my recommendations of using Tamiya Acrylic paints, use your Acrylic thinners to give each part a little clean. Just add a touch to a bit of paper towel or cloth and swipe aware. *Be warned Mr.Hobby Cleaner is very strong and will give you headaches so make sure you wear a mask or do it in a well ventilated area* 2) Use Tamiya Acrylic paints - always thin them with Tamiya Acrylic thinners. If I'm using a .20mm nozzle I'd thin the paints at a 2:1 ratio - .15mm nozzle at a 1:1 ratio. Set your compressor to 1bar or 15/20PSI 3) Once finished, give your airbrush some Tamiya Acrylic thinners and let it soak for a minute. Spray out and repeat the process a couple more times. It would also help to clean the paint cup with a cloth - that'll help with the cleaning process. 4) One you've finished your airbrushing session - give it a final spray of the Mr.Hobby airbrush cleaner. Let it soak for five minutes. Sorry for the big reply, I hope this helps!
Optics really make a difference on the model & flag is a nice touch !
Yeah I think so too. Thank you :D
Leclercs! Yes please.

It is not a pink unicorn - but I am not disappointed. 👍
Haha next video perhaps?
Congratulations mate, you've won the spare sprues :D just flick me a message painting.panzers1@gmail.com and I'll get them sent ASAP!
I have 15 to paint up, along with 16 Brennus. I will go muddier overall on the undersurfaces, and I want more subdues optics, but learned a lot. BZ
Yeah mud is definitely a good idea. My 1/72 KingTiger tutorials shows how I add mud using oil paints 😉 thanks 😁
Woah what is the tool you use when your weathering with the Tamiya set? Great tutorial as always!
Thanks mate!! The tool comes with the Tamiya set ;) I also purchased some really cheap make up bud things from Red Dot :P
Finished model shows a canvas? section at the base of the gun barrel - not mentioned in the painting guide?
Yeah, I forgot to film that part. It was just Vallejo Khaki 😁

What paints are you using buddy? What do you use to clean your airbrush? ☺️
