That's impressive to hold that kind of rpm and speed for so long. Great driving! I'm hoping to make this event in 2024.

This is an absolutely amazing and consistent run ! Hats off to your driving skills 140+ thru the "S's", I could tell the rear end was coming out a little but you kept her out of the mountains!

What kind of gps is this? Many models do not show 1/10 of mph after you exceed 100.

this footage is incredible. ive watched it 3 times. whats the horsepower on the z28? i assume it's naturally aspirated?
At 6600 rpm that most of the run is at it is making around 660hp. Engine made 700hp max at higher rpm.
Great run! Can you tell me where you bought the average speed gauge.
It's just an old Garmin Streetpilot GPS unit from over 15years ago.

Did you notice that after it consumed about 50 gallons of fuel it lost enough weight to go from 205-212 lol. I do have to ask how much fuel did it consume?
Less than 32 gallons. Weight doesn't slow it down much. It's a hp vs aero drag game here.
205-212 was going down hill.

It was a street car, more or less...still had carpeting. No windshield wipers or side mirrors though.

Well, the year started with the inauguration of Barack Obama. Though the recession officially ended in June of this year, it did not come without this year's share of bankruptcies and dissolutions, most notably Circuit City and the Chicago Cubs.
