      mutilated remains of a pig look almost exactly like that of a small human(if sufficiently cut up) with the addition of the id badge it could be mistaken for the child as most people would try to focus on the id and not what they think is a child's desecrated remains

    Personally i would spectate that the reason nobody talks to 'doctor tanner' is because they all were "helped" by him and kept the secret. . And the decapitated body belonged to one of the people who asked him for help. The ones that didn't keep their promise.

      try "Fenter Woods", its another one with a satisfactory ending for the protagonist.

    • @IndigoTail
      @IndigoTail 6 років тому +9

      @@Asrender1 Maybe its a pig?
      A child pig's bone is really similar to Human Bones.
      And as the pasta says: "Ash and Bones", it's burnt. There's no way to get DNA out of a burnt body.
      So he can just Incinerate the pig, take the ashes, pick some bones that are identical to human bones, get a copy of the Kid's ID, get a lighter and burn it. But not too much, just burn it slightly but not erasing the name and the photo.
      Voilà, you now have a fake body. A perfect replica.
      Now, you just need to throw it down the overpass to plant the fake evidence.
      No one is harmed physically, and good ending for everyone.
      Good ending for the Author,
      Good ending for his parents,
      And good ending for Dr. Tanner.

    This is probably one of my favorite pastas along with Teachers Wanted: Must Love Children, Down The Rabbit Hole, etc.
    It may not be the creepiest pasta I've read, but it certainly has a lot of emotion going on. The main character is likable and you are given a good understanding of his situation. The psychologist was also an enjoyable character because he could've easily become the straight up bad guy who wants to kill the protagonist but he's more of an anti hero which I find to be a bit refreshing.

    I always thought it was weird how the narrator to this story proves his parents were evil by saying "They refused to buy me video games, forcing me to read books!" Yeah, he then goes into some ACTUAL abusive behavior, (screaming, beating, etc) but it's almost an afterthought, clearly the MAIN problem with his parents is they made him READ BOOKS and WRITE REPORTS.

    • @turkishjanitor3666
      @turkishjanitor3666 2 роки тому +1

      I mean,forcing him to prove in-depth that he read books at all is a hint towards the way the parents perceived the kid and his actions as a whole. Don't believe his lies, refuse to acknowledge that he can perform good deeds, think of him as the person incapable of doing anything valuable in his life and so on.

      I would have LOVED this story, grew up in abusive home & all, occasionally had fantasies like this. (Most of my childhood & early teen I spent locked in my room, sometimes for entire summer vacations, whenever my step dad felt like it. Then 4 yes ago I was diagnosed with (and almost died from) leukemia. Lol. When my mother left ,or right before , after her visit, she told me that I had always been ungrateful & maybe now I will treat my family with some respect. Lol. True story.

    It wasn't about being abusive, nor the strictness of his curfew. He just couldn't understand why his parents seemed so cold to him. Unlike a kid who attempts suicide for attention, he decided to be mature (for an eleven or twelve year old) and talk to a psychologist just as a way of understanding, yes the psychologist took it pretty far. However it wasn't the child's fault. To me it just seemed like he wanted help understanding why.

    So here's a theory I wrote and am too lazy to re-write.
    ============================================================
    He possibly had a son, ergo his kind demeanor towards the narrator, as well as the room DESIGNED for children.
    However, his son could've died, pushing Dr.Tanner slightly over the metaphorical edge.
    So, to help the other children- as well as himself- he had kept the body of his son so that he could elaborately fake a death, and help the child.
    When you're fucking nuts in the good way (helping others, no matter your own expense) you typically forget about any earthly attachment you had to the recently deceased.
    Think about it, Dr.Tanner treated the narrator as if he were Tanner's very own child that he loved more than anything in the world.
    Dr.Tanner might have been doing this in order to help himself mentally deal with the loss of his son, to whom he felt was not a good enough father to.
    Remember how the narrator said he NEVER saw anyone in Tanner's office?
    I'd say this explanation is one of the most logical out of all the others, as the other explanations would leave too many people asking "where is he?"
    And "What happened to my son?!"
    This way, Tanner would be the only one to know of his son's death, as he could've simply not had his son's death registered at a nearby hospital, ergo the government would not be aware of this.
    A free dead body to use.
    This might explain it, it's the most logical thing I could come up with.

    • @Taburtha
      @Taburtha 10 років тому +1

      well you say Dr.Tanner was doing this despite the loss of his own son but wouldn't you think that Dr.tanner you get attached to the narrator? "Loving him as his own son?"

      ***** And that is one of the reasons it is on my list of favorite creepy pasta's.
      For its ambiguity, it makes you actually have to ask questions, therefore you come back to the story to try and answer these questions that fester in your mind.

    Another thing I like to mention about it,
    Now rumours insisted that Dr. Tanner was a good man for the children helping them out with their troubles and predicament and other such issues, though some people and parents were thinking that one of the children had run away after all the mistreatment that they had done to them, but of course some other people refuse to believe such nonsense, for they knew that Dr. Tanner has been looking after the children and did some work on making the parents feel bad about their behaviour

    A bit off topic, but probably my favorite Creepypasta ending (as well as possibly my favorite in general) is to the Psychosis series. I like that kind of ending where your imagination can decide without making the story seem contrived. I really did like this though.
