In the Costco shop with me, I talked about how I am not a fan of Glide floss but I didn't let you all know what kind of floss I like. FYI: PYREX is not the same as pyrex.
Products with the name 'pyrex' (all lowercase) are made by a company called World Kitchen and are made out of clear tempered high-thermal-expansion soda-lime glass, which has a lower thermal shock resistance, making them susceptible to explosions in the microwave or oven. You can identify them by the lower case logo.
Products with the name PYREX (all uppercase) are made of clear, low-thermal-expansion borosilicate glass and are not susceptible to explosions in the microwave or oven. They can be identified by the logo which is in all upper case letters.

Years ago, the first nice dinner I cooked for my husband when we were dating I made chicken croquettes. I got the recipe out of a Southern Living Holiday recipes cookbook. The chicken breasts were flattened and stuffed with an herbed cheese before finally being wrapped in puff pastry and baked. I used the Boursin herbed cheese. He proposed six months later.

The fresh produce from the grocery store is not nutritionally bad. It's really important to not accidentally shame people out of buying what they can afford. Your words are so powerful, and so on this case I wanted to provide my concern. I'm a registered dietitian with a BS and MS in nutrition. I really recommend buying frozen if you're super concerned about the date of picking vs date of purchase. The nutritional value in fresh and frozen produce is too similar to worry about the date of picking.
I do agree with you on growing what you can and buying local. But remember that a lot of people can't grow it. We don't want them feeling guilty for buying the squash picked 1 month ago with insignificant vitamin and mineral losses compared to home grown squash. I love your content! This is just the second time you've mentioned this concern, and I want to reassure everyone that it's not a big deal.

Bananas are ripe when theyre covered in brown freckles.
    So i like them ripe.
When they ripen to the point of splitting or being more brown patches than freckles i just unpeel them and freeze them and then use them in banana bread or banana nicecream etc
Oh and as it ripens it becomes less starchy and is one of the easiest if not easiest carbohydrates to digest so babies elderly and the convalescing can all safely get their carbs through banana even when they lack appetite or cant eat heavy startchy foods or grains etc
    Theyre a true superfood.

For making gingerbread houses I highly recommend getting a cookie cutter kit for it. Also add some fresh grated ginger juice - you don’t want the ginger fibers in your cookies. Look for a recipe with some cornstarch and no leavening in it. And buy and use meringue powder in your royal icing glue, it helps them dry so much faster. I love homemade gingerbread houses!

Becky, my Mom had the gingerbread house cake pans....they were small and made about the size house of the one on display there at Costco. They were in individual sides, each with their own different designs (windows, doors, siding, etc.) and the roof pans had tiny shingles on them.
You had to assemble the cake after it was baked and it was held together with icing. I remember that it made 'skinny' sides and top....were not deep pans as normal sized cake pans.

Something you may want to look for to put in your kitchen, is stress relief mats. When I work in the kitchen for any length of time, my feet, legs, hips, and back hurt ALOT! My husband brought some home a couple days ago, and they are so comfortable to stand on. They seem to be made of some type of rubber, and are almost 1/2-1 inch thick. They'll be very easy to wipe clean of any spills. I have one in front of my stove, sink, and island, because that's where I do most of my work. I'm 60 years old, so take my advice, and do all you can to protect your body, while standing so long in the kitchen, or when you're 60, you'll wish you had. We got ours at Sam's Club, for less than $20 each. They come in very pretty muted designs, to look like a kitchen rug, that feels like a cloud! Aldi has them for a couple dollars cheaper, but they are not near the quality or cushion strength.

Don't know if you get this comment but when building a gingerbread house I highly recommend going to Martha Stewart route and using a light caramel to adhere the pieces together. Throughout my life royal icing or any other icing never worked for me store bought or homemade. But as soon as I did the caramel it held together so well so quickly and it lasted. Whether you eat the gingerbread house or not it definitely works.

Hi Becky, I really enjoyed going shopping with you but I bet you were worn out when you got home! Have you ever checked out Big Lots. I checked and there’s two in Vancouver. Prices are good and many things are inexpensive. You could do a simple tree decoration with colored balls of cream and bronze and warm white lights. That would be so pretty without blasting you with too much color. I hope you’ve got your bag and the baby’s bag packed because it really could come any time👣🧸😳. We lost our power up here in Marysville north of Everett for 41 hours!!! Luckily we have a wood stove and generator. Make sure you guys are prepared for power loss. We live in Texas so it’s not unusual for us to be in shorts and flip flops. We always have an artificial tree. It just wouldn’t survive the heat.

Becky if you like red wreaths, gather different sizes of pine cones, put them in a five gal bucket and put water over them the stir in red food coloring and let stand for 24 hours, then just buy the red fake berries and a bow and make one.

Making dill pickles is so easy. I have done lots of them this season. Did spears and chips. Winco is a employee owned store.

With your coat, you might be able to buy a panel that helps add some size to accommodate Bub. I have seen ones ( usually from the uk) that are designed to let you put the coat over yourself and a baby in a carrier.

It was an amazing video! I loved it! It gave me such a great Christmassy holiday vibe, and I felt like I was there with you, enjoying all that. Please do some more videos like this this time of year. I am from Europe and it is nice to see what is happening in US this time of year, especially because you celebrate such an amazing holyday as thanksgiving.

Becky, we love the Boursin cheese. Once when I was out of cream cheese, I stuffed some snacking peppers with it, and wrapped them in bacon. I got rave reviews.
