Can I ask you why pdocs are still prescribing long term benzos, even tho they have been known to cause more more nervous system overdrive, akathisia, ruined lives and families etc since the 70s?
I have fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (F.A.S.D) Since I left Vancouver b.c and moved to kamloops, b.c. I find my psych can barely speak English and took me off of all my medications due to his over viewing docs and refuses to prescribe meds that I was on as a young man. I was on a good medication balance at 19 in Vancouver b.c. move to kamloops and the medical field here sends me to a barely trained fractured english speaking african psych. Plz help me, I do not know how to deal with my issues and he just doesn't listen. I see things that I can't talk about. Plz someone fucking help me, I am self medicating more than a moonshiner from Tennessee

But not all of them are like this 🥺 I'm in med school now and my dream is to be a psychiatrist. I have a strong wish of helping people with their mental illness, and I have sure that I'm going to do my job with love. I'm sure that there are other psychiatrists that think like this too
Psychiatrists ruin a lot of people's lives. Psychiatric drugs are outright dangerous. It's like playing dice with every drug you take. If you get a serious side effect from taking certain drugs, they can last a very long time. Longer than the doctors and the pharmaceutical industry would like to admit. These drugs keep people sick at the expense of the doctors and pharmaceuticals who profit off of it by getting people dependent and hooked for life. Once a drug is actually "working," it can be almost impossible to come off without experience devastating withdrawal effects that can last for years. I've been under psychiatric care for 5 years and this is my experience along with many others who unfortunately succumb to this fate.

@@nat9586 i don't know if you ever took a psychiatric drug for long term (at least 2 years) and tried to get off of it. It's extremely hard to come off of. All of the drugs have side effects and when you can't come off of them, you'll deal with them for the rest of your life.
