    Sarai was old when they left Hebran but it says she was very beautiful when they went to Egypt. If she was not dying outwardly at the pace we do today, why would she be past child bearing years? Obviously, God was with them causing the baren womb until He was ready to give a child, so they, or at least Sarai did not age as others did and do.

    What you did not say is that The first wife has the total authority over the household and harem. A man is not to interfere with her judgements and decisions. That is why he bowed to the request of sending Hagar and her son away from her son. Hangar’s attitude seemed to not have changed but rather kept it from showing. Her son picked up this disrespect in the incident of mocking Issac, likely not an isolated incident. Sarah had fears that her son could be killed by Ishmael. He was 13 and Issac was an infant, any mother’s fear with multiple wives.

    • @aaronb8698
      @aaronb8698 11 місяців тому +1

      Very true, it was common even back then for sons to fight and even kill the other to fight over inheritance or thrones, especially if there were separate mothers that would benifit from it.
      By Jewish law it was Ishmael the oldest son not Isaac that should have received the inherentce from Abraham. Maby they wouldn't be enemy's today if Abraham had split the inherentce with them both and honored them both equally and there might not have been a endless jealousy, hatred, and fighting over Jerusalem/ Israel. (Personally i think it was what he did after Abraham ask them to leave the house that led to thousands of years of strive, not that he had two sons with two women)

    • @KittymoreJoy
      @KittymoreJoy 11 місяців тому +3

      @@aaronb8698 Had that split been done, it would have contravened God’s intention to create a separate line of descent down to Christ, create a people separate from the pagan religions at the time. Because of Sarah’s lack of complete trust that God would give her a son, she sinned both against God and her husband, allowed another woman into her close relationship with her husband which caused issues and went against what God had chosen Marriage to be- One Man, One Woman intimate relationship. In all this time, Abraham had never taken another woman to his bed, or divorced her for being barren. It was his right to do so under the current social norms. Yet she chose to pressure her husband to take a concubine, the son she would from Hagar, did not happen. Clearly, the 13 year old was as arrogant as his mother when he mocked Issac as some lowly status son, Sarah saw him as threat (which he was) to her son’s inheritance , but also his safety. She had put up with his mother’s attempt to replace Sarah as a legal wife and the son’s attitude mirrored that. Abraham sinned when he agreed to sleep with Hagar. Those two decisions would have far reaching and tragic consequences for the descendants of both Sons. God had mercy on Hagar , promising they would not die in the desert, but her son would become progenitor of a mighty descendants - yet his hand would be against all people, suggesting a quarrelsome nature that would grate against other tribes and cause conflicts. So do we blame God for his mercy to a mother’s heartfelt plea to save her child’s life as they were dying of thirst? Do we blame it on Abraham and Sarah’s decisions? Do we blame Ishmal’s dependents whose choice was to fight instead of diplomacy? Two decisions by two people lead to a child who would not be God’s chosen leader of his people. God’s decision not to let that child die but grow up. That led to the consequences of strife between Ishmael and Issac’s descendants Ask yourself, what does this cause and effect tell us? Multiple women competing for one man’s affection will cause strife and favouritism . It will cause strife between siblings over inheritance and children may be used as pawns in the competition between multiple women for husband’s time, affection, or resources. It is a warning of what happens when we disobey God ‘s commands and decide a solution ourselves. Sarah wanted mother and son dead but Abraham would not allow that in an outright manner, so she chose a more indirect way, send them away. They may live or die, more likely die, but God intervened against the murderous intent of Sarah’s heart. I believe God loved Ishmael just as much as Issac.

    • @aaronb8698
      @aaronb8698 11 місяців тому

      Many family's all over the world find a way to live in peace when there is a dispute over inheritance and legitimacy.
      Do you think all of palastin should be sent into the desert to die one again, or should the jew start showing some desancy and divide land fairly so all may live in peace, and with respect of fellow man without teaching there children to hate and murder there old family? (Is the ground soaked in Jewish blood the only thing that angers God or do all men have value? In truth i am angry at both the the sacred Jew, treating Palistin worse than the germans did in ww2 and the Palestinians for there unwillingness to make pease over old grievances and stop acting worse than all of us less chosen people.
      I think murdering children should be a war crime no madder if your Jewish Russian or Palistin and all who actually believe in God should look to find peace and try to improve the lives of old enemies with democracy not war.

    Hajar was a teanage Egyptian princess who was kidnapped during war and offered to a king's harem where Sarah was brought as the king wanted her (Ibrahim said she was his sister so that tey don't kill him to free Sarah from marriage).
    After God paralyzed the king 3 times when he tried to touch Sarah, he let her go and offers her to ask for any present.
    She then chose Hajar and treated her like a daughter not a servant.

Abraham had no bible or Qur’an knowledge, just a personal relationship with God but as a friend with a friend so he was learning on the job. It seems wrong to me to call it a sin given that having more than one wife and concubines was something permitted by the Lord in ancient times (check out the likes of King David and other prophets) ... yes it was not as God originally intended, but if God permitted it, it is wrong for us to make that kind of pronouncement surely?

    If marriage was always between one man and one woman in Gods eyes, why did He say “I gave your master’s house to you, and your master’s wives into your arms” after David slept with Bathsheba? God was upset over Bathsheba but was fine giving David the other wives

    • @michellehunter2993
      @michellehunter2993 Рік тому +3

      During that time God allowed man to take many wives if they were never married, although it was not his prefect will. The problem with David sleeping with Beersheba, she was married to another man and David killed her husband once he could not hide her pregnancy. Once, David saw his wrong and repented, God allowed him to take her so his son would be taken care of. If you read in Genesis, the first man to take two wives was Cain's grandson and he was a MAN OF THE WORLD. The men of Adam never took two wives until Abraham slept with Hagar. Then Ismael took 2 wives. No MAN OF GOD before these days took two wives.

    • @Tay234.
      @Tay234. Рік тому +1

      @@michellehunter2993idk that doesn’t make sense to me. If marriage between one man and one woman was always the game plan then nothing else should be allowed. Unless it’s not that big of a deal. I can understand rule changes but if being with more than one woman was and is always wrong, why allow generations to be with more than one woman? Why willingly give one man multiple women but punish another for the same actions? Back then they could’ve had one wife but also had concubines n handmaidens. Technically the man would still be married to one woman which would’ve been seen as ok. Unless being with multiple woman just wasn’t or isn’t that big of a deal. Must not be if God himself gave them to David. If murdering innocent and just people is and was always wrong, would God tell someone to murder an innocent and just person? I feel most people would just say “well God does what he wants” but we all have a brain for a reason

      What is the fastest way to grow a population and preserve genetic diversity? Multiple wives. Science gives us that.
      God changed His mind regarding Israel many times, as we see in the difference between Old and New Testaments. History gives us this.
      Lastly, faith, for who are we to judge what God decrees??

    While the OLD TESTAMENT is an intact version since 400-100bc, there were other versions in the "ORAL traditions" from 8700bc-to- the-1700s. According to these ISHAMAEL is a son born to NAHA-MU and Noa-Noa, the same parents of SAMA, HAM, YAFAT, and NOT! some child of a slave women, (the name "Hagar" only means we are children of pilgrimage, NOT! to mecca), after the flood to safeguard against the WAR of LIES initiated by Nimrod c.4400bc. The ONE (Universal Cosmic Origin) provided NAHA-MU with a fourth son, ISHAMAEL. The descendants of ISHAMAEL include Kedemah, the (forewarned), father of the KEDEM(QADAM), "the wisest peoples" from whence Cadmus and academy derive from. Some of these peoples did live in the PARAN (a vast wilderness between the LEVANT, Euphrates, and Arabia), from 4400-800bc, having port cities on the Gulf. The vast majorities of which were living "worldwide." Again NOT! children of a slave woman.

    Judgment day will be very disappointing for many…
    Not for reasons they think, but for undermining the words of Jesus by calling him God and thus calling him a liar. Jesus said “He that heareth my word, and *believeth on him that sent me* [the Father], hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life” (John 5:24). The most important thing about reading the word is to listen to what Jesus is saying about the Father. Those who call Jesus ‘God’ are rejecting the one true God, who is the Father. There is no verse that says Jesus is God; not a single one. Jesus told us who is the one true God and that is the Father (John 17:3). You must know both the Father and Jesus, or you will miss eternal life.

    Please tell me how old Ishmael was when his mother put him on her shoulder and then threw him under a bush?
    The Bible states Abraham was 86 when Ishmael was born, it then states Abraham was 99 when Isaac was born. When Isaac was weaned ( when Isaac was about 2 or 3 years old) Ishmael and his mother were sent away, and Abraham put Ishmael on his mother's back. In response to this. so he was at least 16 years old. In those times, boys became men at 14 and could get married by then.

    I don’t think that Hagar or some other females were not the wives of Abraham, specially all prophets and the royals of ancient times had always many many wives not a single wife , so telling the story that Hagar was a slave or servant of Abraham and Sara is a twisted man made story , look at king David a lot of wives and he was a warrior same King Solomon strong king had a lot of wives and he was also warrior but only Jesus was most humble then came prophet Mohammad he was also warrior and had a lot of wives,, so it was just a normal thing in the ancient times but twisting the story in a manner that some body was servant or slave it’s not a true story only make an special race superior only for purposely endorsed story of master and slave game , in ancient times all wives were just like a slave or servants only because man was strong and master of the all house all kids and wives were just obedient and at submissive positions not same like in our modern days . There’s a lot of twist in the stories of specially prophets and kings even prophet Moses was a warrior and married a lot of time . I wonder that before Abraham there were nations all around the world Egyptian Pharos were very strong though not the race of Abraham even Abraham was also a part of a nation somewhere in present Iraq Or Mesopotamia,, so they were the producer of Abraham he was born there in a nation though all were pagans so I think everything was not only prophet Abraham but before him there were Noah Enoch and a lot who were also the prophets specially selected men by God or any Devine who is running this world with all of its odds ….

    Hey, why are you adding a word/name to what is actually written in Galatians 4:26? Who told you that your mother is Sarah? Yea, maybe she is your mom, but that’s not what’s written in the Bible for the true children of God. 😂😅☕️

    Why is it titled as such? Was Ishmael really 'a forgotten' son? Forgotten by who? I doubt it.
    Interesting that you made a brief comparison between Issac and Jesus Christ. To think the descendants of Issac connived with Judas to have Jesus Christ killed for 30 pieces of silver; just because he was God's only begotten son, sent to cancel the old ways of worship.

    Lot of foolish commentary for cherry picking . forget Sara , Hagar , Ishmaelites, Israelites for a minute.
    Question-1
    Is it not , God is Just God , hence His creation is seen through that lenses .
    Question -2
    Will God discriminate between first wife and and second wife as humanity for his creation?
    3- Abraham is guid to humanity as Prophet, Will Abraham commit sin to guid humanity in violation of God”s commandments .Will that serve God”s purpose to send prophets to guid humanity.
    Question-4 .
    This conventional explanation of yours in your commentary is not from original Bible and original Tora , both are lost . How many words and texts have been changed for the kings to mange their kingdoms for their wishes .
    Question-5
    Hagar was princess , a daughter of king . A daughter who was introverted Godly person who did not socialize with anyone . A daughter who chose with free will to serve as maid instead to be queen and live in luxury. Sara was 65 year elderly women at the time . Many cultures help their loved ones to give their daughter to help the elderly , specially in this case a Godly couple.
    Slave is always purchased and sold for value . Did Sara paid any monetary value , instead father of Hagar as a king gave lot of treasures and animals to Abraham & Sara when they left Egypt. Because of these treasures Abraham became rich man . Hagar was never slave , these are silly commentaries to mislead people . Hagar served for the sake of God as volunteer.
    To me it looks we want to divide world between white and black for a reason .
    God is neither God of black or white . He is God of all equally with no distinction . Abraham and Sara both were born in Ur city of Iraq among Middle Eastern people . Neither were they black nor were they white, like God cares ? . Abraham & Sara are descendants of Shem , son of Prophet Nova , Noah Es .
    God is love , not hate !
