Spins won't change through rates unless it's quite a powerful quad. The reason being is it drops power from 2 props and uses the torque from the other two to bring it around. If it were to turn faster, too much power would be lost therefore decreasing it's altitude.
Actually I think the outdoor camera footage looked pretty good. My only complaint with this quad is that it's so light it just can't do very well even in the slightest breeze. The height hold helps with this problem, but I'm still afraid to give it too much altitude.
Keychain camera will work pretty well. Or you can pick up the 5.8 ghz Syma FPV system for about $50. Better camera as well as decent fpv. Camera weighs about 29 grams...more than stock but quad will handle it ok with a little reduction in battery life. Stock syma cameras pretty much suck as a rule. Could also be a cheapo SD card. The connector is a proprietary plug to try and sell batteries. Look up a battery mod video by Jeff Suits. You can change it to mini Losi without even soldering anything.
Camera remains mostly unchanged from the original and still has the same extreme downward angle....meh. An 808 keychain camera is perfect for this quadcopter and I've seen plenty of good footage of that camera with the earlier X5Cs.
+Ed Urbina To be honest, I'm not sure I'd recommend one with altitude hold if you're just getting started. It's quite a different way to fly, and as you saw in the video, even I managed to make it drop out of the air by pulling down too hard on the left stick.
+Ivan B Nothing bad, really. It was just time for a change. I was putting in a LOT of work, not getting a huge amount in return, and I decided it was time to focus on my own channels instead.
***** thanks jordan :) oh yea i have a video idea the xiaomi yi black us edition cause its a verry cool afordable 2k camera that does really record 2k maybe? well its just a recomendation and it be cool to see it on your channel

Looks like a good starter drone, and the price is great.
Wow really nice video outside

this is beautiful drone
Nice review, What drone do you recommend for a beginner that is cheap? i like this one with the alt hold but i dont really want or need the camera.
Would you buy this one or X5SC-1?
Nice Quad Jordan. How big is your garden Jordan, i'm trying to get an idea of how close you get to those trees but its difficult to work out?
+Lee Bennett not really sure. about half of our yard is about 45 degrees downhill, so it's not really usable space, but great to fly over.
was told this is a good practice drone before flying a mavic any other recommendations?
Cool review man :P
+Frequent Flyer RC Thanks! Oh, cool, I hadn't seen your video about it yet. The blue color looks pretty slick!
I love your videos!

Ysidro Vicioso Press and hold flip button then choose a direction on your right control stick. It mentions it in the instruction manual

I have modded all my quads with xt60 cables
+george aura Even the toy-grade ones?
+Jordan Keyes yes all of my quads have xt60 so I can use my hobby grade charger instead of the cheap one they come with
+Jordan Keyes my syma x8g used this weird plug that I changed to xt60 so I can use any battery from the hobby store and xt60 is a general plug
what did you think about phantom 4
+MR. Shark I haven't picked one up yet, but I'm super tempted... I just can't justify the price yet.
Hi whats the intro song cause i really like it

for that price isnt the camera always where its a bit low quality ?
+Finn Andersen Absolutely.
you can always hook a goPro under it :D
i don't think. thre isn,t enough ground clearance
