- "Atom Bomb" is a single by the English electronic music band Fluke. Originally created for the soundtrack to the wipE'out" 2097 video game the track reached #20 in the UK music charts and brought Fluke their first non-club mainstream single. This song is also featured in part in other productions including the motion picture Behind Enemy Lines, and the video game Enter the Matrix.
It was originally a single from the wipE'out" 2097 soundtrack and was then included on the Risotto album a year later. The packaging and discs were designed by The Designers Republic in their typical futurist style. All of Flukes subsequent releases from this single were also designed by the firm as was the first three games of the wipE'out" series
I made this! Still very proud of this work. The Fluke guys were great fun to work with. Can anyone translate the Japanese text? Its a code :)
+shaun magher I've seen two versions of this video. Both are very cool :)
+shaun magher Epic work man what exactly did you do on this?
+Neo Racer He was the director, animating director and supervising animator.
+shaun magher wow shaun, you did fantastic job! the song is timeless (personally my favorite track ever) and the video still looks so cool. :)
Amazing!!!
Back when still aired music videos, there was a late night one hour block called “Amp”. This video was usually the big opener.
Good times.
Loved Amp. Taped it every week. To have those videos again...
I fucking loved the hell out of AMP!!! introduced me to so much electronic music back when.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I REMEMBER AMP I WISH THEY WOULD BRING BACK MUSIC VIDEOS. AMP WAS THE BEST!!!!
(UA-cam is not the same as MTV. I want my MTV)
In case folks don't know, Fluke have reunited and dropped a new EP called Insanely Beautiful. New album coming in 2024. So stoked! Risotto is one of my all time faves.
Fluke is back, new sound, new processing. The latest geniuses of electronic music at work. Face it and appreciate.
This is one of the most timeless tracks ever written, it still gives me the same tingle it did when I first heard it playing Wipeout.
wow, the song can still raise my arm hairs after 25 yrs
same here
Wipeout 2097/XL had such a superb soundtrack. Perfect synergy of sound &vision.
I think this song should've been in the OST as well
Seriously can't get enough of this song and I love the video's tie into WipEout 2097.
We need an HD remaster of this!
Ive wanted hd for so long
yes!
FUCKING FACTS😊
The beginning of this tune gets me so pumped lol it takes me back to the Amp days
Both music and video are works of art
the whole concept of this video is nearly 2 decades ahead of it's time.
The 90s were so damn good to live in. Nostalgia!!!
1996, godina kad su igre postale ozbiljne
Man this game was awesome, I remember playing it as a kid, it's a game that aged very well
The Best racing game I Ever played !!!!
I know right!? who here stood up late night in hopes to catch this video on MTV AMP....Such an awesome program AMP was for electronica...
I used to listen to the CD single of this over and over. Was funny because I was a teenager and there was a version on the CD with explicit lyrics. I was easily amused back then. Great track and video
You sound like pervert.
This track was subsequently released on their LP "Risotto" alongside their other big tune "Absurd". This is not the first song that was released that utilised active game footage, but Fluke's involvement in the 2097/XL soundtrack is more apparent here. And contrary to some rumours, this is not the first doing-in pair between music artists and Psygnosis (now former SCE Studio Liverpool). Try to find the video for Renegade Soundwave's "Space Gladiator" -- the video uses footage from the game "Blood Money".
This was also on the soundtrack of the first X-Men movie.
Only for about 30 seconds when Wolverine went Mach-3 on the bike.
Great times.
я знаю, що композиція пов'язана з Wipeout 2097, але мені довелося послухати її ще до виходу гри і купи однойменних збірок... я навіть не грав у ту гру ніколи )) трек - бомба!
2097 we're almost here
Made my friggin' childhood.
@OccultPerspective thought the same thing
Omiljena traka iz WipEouta 2097!
Bravo majstore! ^_^
waaaaaaaay ahead of its time
Girls name Rachael Stewart (born 23 December 1973) is a Scottish singer and folk dancer.
Best cosplayer of Ariel/Arial Tetsuo, too.
She doesn't look like Rachael.
clearly not
The Best Album In The World Ever bought me here!!!
This song is used the first X-men movie, when Wolverine "borrows" Cyclop's motorcycle, and briefly in the trailer as well 😀 The trailer also uses another song by Fluke, Absurd, which is awesome!
I still listen to the Wipeout ST. Great in the gym. Gets me in a trance ;).
That scene from Behind Enemy Lines brought me here.
You know what I'm talking about.
This is how I got hardcore into the videogame "Wipeout" 1 and 2 was these versions on Playstation 1 and 2? I would play for hours on end on the sly to beat my friends hubby lol. I absolutely was obsessed with this video from "MTV AMP" when i saw it and have two Fluke CDs. ❤❤
This was and still is the shit when I needed a lift I blasted this ! when my husky and I walked in the neighborhood this was the soundtrack in my head 2022 and this is still fire
Arial vs Arian Tetsuo was always vicious in the F3600 and F5000 Leagues
i bought the CD in the 1990s...awesome....and before the movie. The album was called "Rissotto"...i have it. A fave. Some of the tracks were used by DJs ..so you may be able to find some vinyl.
First time hearing this, I 💕 it
What is that purple-haird live-action girl's name in that music video?
Uno de los temas que más veces disfruté... Pasar esto por un buen filtro es para volverse loco. Todo el disco, Risotto, es una pasada... En los 90, esta gente estaba a la altura de los más grandes.
Ha I vaguely recalled this video from watching mtv at 3 am back in the late 90s.
I only remember the line "she's got an atom bomb" and i was able to find it with google. :-P
The future by the 90's
First heard this from The Saint (1997) soundtrack.
Liz Shue got cold fusion.
…..and saddly, we are in 2020, and the world is full of covid instead of being the Cyberpunk Paradise we 90´s kids dreamed about.
Me. too
"Baby got an atom bomb.
Twenty-two megatons."
Does anyone know who is the female model in the video? I hope the history saved her name for us.
This is song is also heard in X-Men(2000) the scene when Wolverine steals Cyclops’s motorcycle.
i was just watched swordfish
@@BladeReaperWrath Hugh Jackman and Halle Berry are both in that movie, probably due to the success of X-Men a year earlier.
I found this in the movie behind enemy lines Owen Wilson
Swordfish was pretty good, but underrated, one of the few times John Travolta plays the villain. He also played a villain role in the underrated Marvel adaptation of The Punisher in 2004 as Howard Saint.
2097/XL one of the most stylish games ever made!
So it seems this tune was used in many movies and games? I remember it from Enter The Matrix, the post office lobby fight.
Best version
Epischer Song. Wipeout my fast Race Game. Very very gooood. Thx for the memorys.
Best music ....
remember hearing this during enter the matrix during the post office level. Still gets me pumped up
I think that if the comments on the official channel were available, there would be a lot more things discovered about this video like that comment from the guy who worked on the animation...
whats the deal with this one being a somewhat different cut from the official upload? a lot of the same stuff but rearranged in different order and with some parts that are unique to either version
Yes, this video is shorter and relies more heavily on footage from the Wipeout XL video game
This is Ost. Behind Enemy Lines too!
Lol I've been searching for this song because of the movie I gave. Up until I type in search behind enemy lines rave music
超かっこいいよー、マジcoolでバシバシ来る!
Great music and great video!
so many good memories!!!!
PG lyrics version but VERRA NICE vidja!
Peaceful Skies
Fun fact: Their are a total of 24 nuclear bombs "missing" on this planet.
Awesome!! :)
a wipeout music video, so cool. this rocks!
His baby was actually telling him about her new boyfriend, Adam Baum.
It's obvious that Fluke were listening to Yello when they were kids.
I like how random teapot appears on 2:35 - because, why not?
It's a genie lamp.
Was expecting to see AMP at the end of the video.
Love this!
Lovely, fav. song mmmmmm twenty megatonns, ❤😢❤😢❤😢❤😢😂😢❤😢❤😅
Ost. X-Men!
Hot girl
WOOOOW
Cool video, didn't made video music game, but overall the video is awesome.
Wicked 💛 💚 💙
Hvala!
The art video in the song reminds me of Osamu Sato's art, the creator of LSD: Dream Emulator.

Заряжает, вставляет, доставляет!!!!
This is the future.
Jesus this song is just fucking awesome
Экстэзи👍💪✌

Wasn't this in the first X-Men movie. When wolverine stole Cyclops ' bike
Trevor Marshall good catch, had to rematch it and it's so low barely background music
This tune: is super fuckin' cool
в брейкбіті вибираю для прослуховування найчастіше цю композицію... може є краще, але мені рік-в-рік заходить цей трек )
What kind of game in the video?
Wipeout XL Playstation
Is that Tetsuo?
Proof that two wasn't enough
This kinda makes me think about Toonami.
so no one knows who the chick is ? and not , its not Rachel that was performing with fluke on stage .

Behind the enemy lines
Ah, the '90s
1:05 熟女夜の恥体験現場 ラブホテル消し忘れ! って懐かしいエロビタイトルだなぁ。
The green text at 1:00 says:
did " fat state something meeting " ga that dragon
At 1:07 says, can't make out as blurry/faded/moving:
we fat state in one yen that name house Ishikawa up waterfall group
At 2:32, superimposed on her butt:
more stuff about fat state meeting, and Ishikawa
The logo at the end isn't Japanese, it's just shapes reminiscent of the katakana syllabary
I've heard from the animation head there's a secret message in the Japanese but I don't see it.
Похоже , что Мери пришло время брать автоматы !!!!!!!!!!!!
