Thank you so much for the great insights! It was especially helpful for you to point out how you use only a few teeth of the blade in the delicate areas, that was like a light going on for me! I very much enjoy clipping my own poodle and I want to ensure her safety and comfort above all else. Thank you for posting, it is so helpful! 😊

i would hope they lasted lots more than 3to 5 grooms. Blades can be as much as a pair of mediocre clippers. I’m not an expert, but I’ve watched tons of videos because I’m doing my own grooms on my standard poodle. Good clippers, blades can be 30 bucks and more depending on what you have or use. But taking good care of them is definitely the way to get the most use out of them. Cleaning and oil and not dropping them or forcing them through dirty hair. Key is simply taking care of them like an oil change for your car.
Thanks for sharing your expertise with us. Cause I’m full on into being my black standard poodle’s groomer now. I’m lousy at it but my new four months old puppy loves me back and doesn’t care about my lack of experience. I love the way you say throat, trooth lol. I’m getting better thanks to all you wonderful young ladies spreading the love and knowledge. Keep the sharp side up. ✌️👍🇺🇸. I watched this video a second time and I think I’m gonna splurge and buy the best clippers because mine don’t seem to work like yours. Plus your voice is so nice to listen to. It’s almost therapeutic and calms me down. I’m glad my dog doesn’t know how bad my grooming is. He loves it cause he can see and I’m sure it’s better when he eats with out the hair in his mouth. Plus I know he likes it when his pads in feet are done because he doesn’t slide so much on the hardwood floors. ✌️
Can you please show what to do with the part between the eyes, where you leave it and what is different if you want a tied up top-knot? I have looked for this everywhere and I have not seen it clarified. Many thanks for so many excellent videos!
Hi Rebecca, there is a New video coming up about shaving the muzzle of a poodle . We will take care of that :-) Thank you for your feedback . Kind regards,
Thank you Lulu for watching and for Following us . Happy to share our knowledge and Passion . If we can help or guide you with anything, please don't heistate to contact us .
I am learning so much from you! My standard poodle (black) is pretty scared when I try to groom his face, so I get what I can and go back to it later. I have an Andes and a Wahl both blades are frozen. I have not used then in so long. I bought a new one called Oneisall. Weird name. I am not liking it too much but at least it cuts but not as good as I would like. I just wanted you to know that I appreciate what you are teaching about grooming Poodles.
I like to shave the neck of a poodle all the way around as well. It continues the line from the eye to the ear around the back of the head and it helps the collar from getting mixed in with the dog's hair.
@@TransgroomTV thank you for your reply. Yes, I know that it's no longer standard but in the 1960s my aunt bred show poodles and they trimmed them that way in those days. That's where I learned it and it still makes sense to me.

Hello , we would never ever use sedative to groom a dog, let us make this very clear . The reason why this dog is so relaxed, is because he is used to being washed and groomed every 2 weeks . he's used to , to stand on the table, to enjoy the grooming session . We are all professional groomers at Transgroom and we never ever woud advice to give the dog any sedative of any kind .
Hello Madi , thank you for your question , I really don't put pressure on my clipper . i let the clipper do his work . so I let it glide trough the coat , not to fast, so the clipper has the time to shave . Please don't hesitate to reach out to us , if we can help you further . Thank you

How much does it cost for a replacement blade ? How many full body clips would a blade last on a standard poodle usually? 3-5 cuts?
