Thanks Mandy. We are looking into stories close to home as the prices of fuel is just rocketing so restricting where we go for the moment. We do have several more stories to cover, here were we live, but as soon as the petrol prices come down, we will be travelling further afield.
@@DaysofHorror your locations of history are not that far from where I live, I come from Prestwich and moved to Bury area when I got married Some of the locations you film from I wasn't aware of Thankyou more lovely walks to go with family👌 Love the history of places Look forward to the next one 👍🙂🌿
Thank you for doing this. Very educational and fascinating. Pretty new to the area and my family love going exploring. So this is definetly high on our list to go check out.
Great video mate, I think the same as you, it was a heated moment that got out of hand. I don't think it was premeditated. A very sad story. Keep the videos coming! 👍
My thoughts too. I honestly don't believe it was all premeditated. A fight broke out, it got out of hand and the worst possible outcome occurred. Sad tale all around.
Thanks Mat. I'm my own worse critic though, as I always remember something I should have said on the video only when I get home 😅 But I'll get better hopefully as each video is made. BTW, I'm still planning on visiting your neck of the woods for some recording 👍
Thank you for the kind comment. I only came across this story a year or so ago and then forgot about it. Another strange one, and with two sad outcomes 😞
Thanks once again for a very interesting video going back 74 years ago. Quite sad on the one hand, but obviously justice had to be done. Thanks for sharing 👍👍
I only just found your channel, and I am slowly going to work my unorganized way through your videos. These are really very interesting stories. Thank you for such good content.
Enjoyed many walks from Edenfield down to Ewood Bridge and Irwell Vale used to walk this very route to go fishing and never heard of anything before, living in Northumberland now it's good to see the famous Valley Hills and fields.
Hi Paul, thanks for watching and commenting on this story. It's one we only stumbled upon a couple of weeks before we went out in search of the location where it all took place. Tragic story and a tragic outcome.
Many thanks Annette. You aren't missing too much over here at the moment, the Country feels like its on its knees right now. And as for the weather, that is another story! :-)
Cheers Paul. Was a fair walk to get to the location but we needed it to hopefully get the story across as much as we wanted too. There are other ways to get there but it would have been too quick a walk.
We have talked about having a wander around the areas where the existing line is as well as where the older railway lines used to be, just to see if we can find any interesting places to do a completely different story.
Cheers for your kind words pal 👍 It's a story I was uncertain of getting into due to the quietness around it. Yes, there are some articles online but they are few and far between. I was also going to nip over to Feniscowles to the old paper mill, but for what is said in this video, I thought it slightly pointless considering the mill isn't there now. I'm defo going to do another video though on those mills near you 👍
I no yes is 2years ago you did this video work guys I find this is very important You guys telling the story of the history of the murders . But I joined your great video work and the history of ENGLAND back in the old days and mondon days guys Keep up with the great work guys
I think it may have been about the war, question is which one was the Nazi sympathiser? Things like this often happened in the years after the war all over Europe.
Many thanks Angela. We have a lot more to come, some true crime, some Victorian, a bit more paranormal. And next year looks like it will be our biggest yet 🙌
You’re really quite close to Eden Wood Mill there huh? Visited it today (didn’t go inside of course). Are you aware of the little hobbit house built into the far bank? Over the green footbridge?
@@DaysofHorror it takes some finding but like I said, over the new green footbridge across the river then work your way back down following the river flow. It’s extremely interesting!
A very sad story Obviously, Nenad should not have killed Radomir. However, the jury should have considered the facts that both young men had come from a country that suffered terribly in WW2 and Nenad had lost so many of his family. PTSD was not really acknowledged in immediate post-war Britain, but I think many people who lived through that conflict has so many unresolved issues. It is also sad that both young men had come over to the UK most likely to help their families, and both lost their lives here.
I think the cabin was viewable from the main road back then, and with the weather changing and it's beginning to rain, they probably just saw it as somewhere to go whilst making their way to their 'friends' house. Still, it's a strange story with an even stranger outcome 🫤
Great story, The justice system never give him a chance, maybe life would have been better. What happened to the friends they was supposed to meet? That's another story.
Info is very sparse with this one with next to nothing mentioned on their friends. Also, we couldn't trace where radomir was buried. Either here in England or perhaps sent back abroad to be with his relatives 🤔 thanks for watching Paul 👍
It was just an old logo we used to use. It was simply meant to represent all that was bad that occurred during 'one day of horror', as all the stories have or usually have a tragic element to them.
Perhaps it was because they were not British nationals that people don't want to talk about it? Saying that, I didn't know a Thing about the murder on Primrose Hill (Skipton), I lived there for 31 years 😂. Perhaps it has just been forgotten..... IMHO, I don't think it was premeditated. It wasn't that long since the war had ended, and if the victim was perceived to be a traitor then it's easy to see how tempers could run high. So very sad. Thank you both for your work.
Yes I can understand that, maybe just a thought she could smile and look part of the video, watched a few of your videos, your very good gow much history knowledge you have, I've shared a few of your video to ancestry site I'm on fb.. you got some good comments just need to cheer your wife up she looks so miserable, sorry if I've course offence just saying how I feel.. Do you have a fb group? Also watch Adam Mark explores on you tube he very good, he does abandoned building.. You keep it up telling us tales of our towns maybe have a look over blackburn old cemetery. Takecare.
Two fields , a couple of walls and some fences, they went to a lot of trouble to get that obscure little cabin. And an axe just happened to be laying next to it. Someone had plans for someone that someone didn't know about. Mmmmmm
It had begun to rain and they spotted it from the roadside. I think they felt it was easier and quick to reach it and where they could avoid the rain. It was much different back then compared to how we managed to get there.
If the murderer fought with Mihailović, then the probability is he was fighting WITH the Nazi's against the allies, so it sounds like he wasn't the poor innocent you think he is, and the victim was probably goading him for being a 'Chetnik' i.e. a Nazi collaborator
Great to see you both out on the explores again really love listening to these intresting stories beautiful scenery.👍🌿🙂

We used to play out here when were kids. We walked across them two big green pipes. Had no idea about this story till Just now. Excellent video 👌
It's so interesting looking at old records and finding these stories. It still amazes me just how many more there are to cover!

Such beautiful scenery, so lush and peaceful! You would never believe that such violence could take place there. Thank you for another great story. ❤
I suppose my only question would be where/who were the other people they were supposedly going to meet?

There are a couple of cabins - one down in Stubbins and the other is/was on the other disused line up to Helmshore
We have talked about having a wander around the areas where the existing line is as well as where the older railway lines used to be, just to see if we can find any interesting places to do a completely different story.

It seems like a very random place for two people who lived in Blackburn to be.

I think he took him there to murder him .
But it could of been a fight
I don't think it was planned. How would he have known there was an axe in the cabin. Crime of passion, he shouldnt have been hanged imo
Thanks for commenting 😊
why do you have an upside down cross in your opening titles??
It was just an old logo we used to use. It was simply meant to represent all that was bad that occurred during 'one day of horror', as all the stories have or usually have a tragic element to them.

My bad, it's a figure of speech I guess many use when taking about hangings 🤷

Why were they heading towards the plater hut in the middle of nowhere.for what reason.
