▶ SIMJACK Pro Pedals [REVIEW] ua-cam.com/video/vgcxGt2xd7E/v-deo.html
The biggest thing for these UT version of these pedals is increasing the plates from 3 to 6mm. For many Simjack Pro user who installed stiffer elastomers and used them for a long time, the plate would bend so much causing load cell to break because it would hit the under side. This problem was all over the Simajack facebook group and it is a very good thing they fixed the problem.
Could you comprare these to the simpson pedals in some video. Thanks
Once I've got my review out for these, then yes I will.
@@jimjim4251 simsonn pro?
Looking forward to the review, keen to see the SAMSONN vs SIMJACK UT comparison as i'm currently on the fence as to which to order.
They look great. It feels like a great time to be sim racing. There is so much great kit available now, and at affordable prices. Competition is good for us buyers.
they seen to be similar to the Pro pedals, with some upgrades. I hope they make a upgrade kit from the Pro to the Ultimate.
Perfect timing! I just started building my Nlr GT-Elite rig and was looking at the old sim jack pedals and simsonn ones
What I still miss in this type of pedals are measures to protect the elastomers from too much force and damage in the process.
Such as my pedals, which have an extra bushing / tube between the rod and the elastomers, limiting the maximal travel.
Other than that, the pedals do look great, but Sim Jack seems to be one of those companies whose customers are always confronted with the afterthought "I should've waited for the next revision". 😅
Fantastic upgrade actually.... Those bearings look solid, And the elastomers also look way better. Very key upgrades
The pedals look pretty good, looks like they have addressed any shortcomings the previous version may have had.
Nice, Simjack back in the game! Still might go for the Simsonn because of the black finish :D
Got my Simsonn V2 pro's, and maybe a week later, I saw the black ones 😮
Amazing set of pedals no matter the finish, though. But damn I wish I saw those. They are gorgeous.
Which brake pedal set up do you prefer..,all elastomers or a combination of elastomers and spring?
Now, only the Sim Ruito pedals left for a head to head comparison 😊
so does this put the simjack frames on par with the simsonns, just now with better elestomers?
Hey guys just bought from ali for 126 with tax delivered to uk 3 UT pedals they have sale on the now hopefully better than TLCM pedals
How would you rate these or the Simsonn pedals to logitech g pro pedals, are they better in any way, for example brake control etc?
I’m anxiously waiting the review. I need to know if it’s worth getting these over the simsonn pro. Especially curious about the software
Nice video. Would you mind telling what spring have you used on the Pro pedals break?
Cobbled together with the 3DRAP elastomer kit, a skateboard bushing and metal spring.
What's your opinion on the bearings durability vs. the bushings? How long until your bushings showed side to side wear? Do you think bearings will be significantly better longevity wise?
Bearing are always better. Hence, SimJack use them on these new pedals.
Could i use M8 bolts and tnuts to secure them to aluminium profile?
M6 are required
Is there much difference in having a pedal with or without the hydraulic rods? I see that they have the option of having them either with 1, 2 or 3 rods. Also, could I buy them separately if I need them in the future?
There is a difference in feel. Not essential, but nice to have. SimJack do sell the gas springs, so you can get them later, but cheaper to buy them with the pedals.
Is it still possible to flip the side brackets around so that you can tilt the assembly backwards instead of forwards?
Yeah, you can.
@@SimRacingCorner Nice 👍🏻 Thanks for the quick reply!
Simjack ut or the latest simsonn pedals? Or are they pretty much the same?
Design wise, very similar. It's the brake spring components that's sets them apart. I haven't used these yet, so I don't have a verdict.
@@SimRacingCorner Cant wait for your verdict then, i am waiting on it before buying the pedals for my new sim rig
Can you make a review of simubox black v2 pedals as well? If its possible
Those are basically Simsonn pedals under a different name. The only thing that may differ, is they may come shipped with fewer brake springs than the Simsonn ones. Watch my Simsonn Pro review here ua-cam.com/video/ZPUvVQ_qq0g/v-deo.html
Hello mate thanks for the video would you recommend these pedals or the simpsonn pedals I no there basically the same just wondering if one of them is slightly better. I’m ordering a set on Friday so any input will be greatly appreciated thanks
I haven't mounted these yet, so I can't make a proper determination. My expectation is, the UT elastomers will put them ahead of the Simsonn pedals.
@@SimRacingCorner thanks might wait for your review on these before I pull the trigger. Could you try the elastomers on the simpsonn pedals I wonder if you could buy the separately and the work on the simpsonn pedals would they work and would they make them the best out of the 3 sets of pedals.
Looking forward to your review hope it’s not to far away
Why would you need a load cell on a gas pedal? They are dual potentiometers on real cars as well. Except you have a vintage car wich has a cable. Seems unnecessary to me. Otherwise great stuff
There's no need to overthink it. The load cells on the gas/clutch act as linear inputs.
Manufacturers like Heusinkveld use load cells on all three pedals for a reason.
Potentiometers are subject to wear, hall sensors do not wear but have a non-linear curve which has to be straightened via software, load cells are more expensive, but linear.
In this setup, the load cells in the throttle and clutch pedal are not driven by the direct pedal force (as in the brake pedal) but via a spring, which force acts as a linear representation of the pedal travel.
@@andreasotto1977 thanks for the explanation. Still good quality potis would do the job as every car since the late 90ies uses them and they rarely fail. Maybe a cheap load cell is cheaper than a quality potentiometer
@@benjaminkreimel8651in practical use it makes no difference, I’d wager they do it because customers think load cell = high end.
@@benjaminkreimel8651 also, potentiometers have gotten a bad reputation due to failing in Thrustmaster, Logitech and even Fanatec pedals, most likely to the usage of cheap components. So, even if you used top of the line ALPS pots nowadays, marketing those would still be quite a task.
A cheaper "upgrade"? Interesting...
… so Simmson pedals?
