1:50 - I was fourteen years old when I first played this game, and nothing in a game had ever hit me the way Grey Fox's line here did. The turmoil and pain in his voice, the guilt, the way the music swells up as he reveals the truth to Snake. Even all these years later, I get chills when i revisit this scene. No game before this or since ever made me feel that way. MGS is a masterpiece.
Well said mate. I was around 7 years old when I played this game. To say it left its mark on me is a complete understatement. Here I am, 25 years later, watching this again. It's a masterpiece of a game.
Gray Fox was the best character in the game, one of the greatest ever MGS scenes. I think it's also Liquid's most villainous moment, showing what a despicable person he is.
Snake. We're not tools of the government, or anyone else. Fighting was the only thing... the only thing I was good at. But... at least I always fought for what I believed in.
his speech gets me every time 😢 He has a sad backstory, even sadder than Sniper Wolf because of regret guilt and the need for redemption, you can almost hear it in his voice.
Metal Gear Solid monologues have the depth of a neo ancient Greek tragedy. They have left a mark on my childhood forevermore... True masterpieces, works of digital art.
" You look terrible Snake, you haven't aged well. " Damnit, the signs where there from the start...
@@the97thsurvivor46 and in MGS2, Liquid said it after taking over Ocelot during the tanker mission.
@@the97thsurvivor46 fuuuuuck and it took til you said it make me actually realize that 🥺

I love how unexpected it is, too.

He lived a villain his entire life, but he died a hero....
"Can you really shot? YOU'LL KILL HIM TOO!!!"
That line alone was more daunting than it needed to be.

That “FOOOOOOX!!!!” Was So Gut Wrenching

He prayed for death... and it found him!

The perfect video with the that code call

My favorite scene from my favorite game, and I only now know about that codec call after all these years!
Ever notice Snake actually talks like a normal human being in this game compared to the rest of the series?
“A surveillance camera!?!?”
“A Hind D??”
“Grey Fox!?!?”
"I'LL STOP IT FROM MOVING!"
"Frankie said that?"
;________;
Man i cried whatchin fox death
The last part " I'm going to leave here alive"
Bet Naomi knew right away hearing Snake
Snake's reaction to Gray Fox's death:
