Affinity Photo & Designer can "Place" images, but you need to go to the "File" menu at the top of Affinity, and then down to "Place".
But Affinity Photo & Designer don't have "frames". Instead, you need to use the shape tools. To see an example of this, you can watch this video: ua-cam.com/video/CgcOKHOVoys/v-deo.html

In Affinity Photo when you have a image in a rectangle how do you edit the rectangle height or width without stretching or compressing the image inside, Im trying to just select the rectangle and not the image.

I'm curious how Publisher deals with resolution? So if the doc is set to 300 dpi, then the image just comes in at that res? and resizing is ok within about 10% or it may get blurry or pixelly, is that right?

Does Affinity store my photos? I noticed if I delete the original image from my desktop, the image is no longer viewable in my Affinity design.
