I'm an archer, been shooting for about 15 years. I've been on the fence for years about getting into leather working, and I think this video has finally given me the motivation to jump on into it!
Hello, It's really a beautiful work of art!. I was wondering what kind of sewing machine do you use? I notice that you have mentioned a couple of times in your videos.
I have a couple of them that I use. An old industrial Singer machine for cloth or light leather. And a Cobra class 4 for anything from about 5oz leather up to stacks of leather 3/4 of an inch thick. The Cobra is made by Leather Machines leathermachineco.com/
Sorry about that. I some how did not get it filmed. Probably paying too much attention to the project and not enough the camera. I put the front piece on the back plate and lightly mark a line around it, then I mark another line about 1/2 inch inside of that outline. I line the edge of the gusset up with the inner line as I stitch it to the back with the grain or right sides together. The stitch line should be near the first outer line. I turn these pieces so the gusset is inside out and the back plate has it's edges folded in. Then I stitch the front of the pouch on to the gusset grain/right sides together. You should wind up with an inside out pouch with the back piece reversed and the edges of the back piece stuffed inside the pouch. Turn the front and gusset right side out, and stitch the flap to the back across the top of the pouch opening.

Is a pattern for this quiver available?
Not yet, but I am working on digitizing it and might have one soon.
The pattern is now available on Etsy at www.etsy.com/listing/884321073/pattern-for-leather-archery-quiver
