  • The Timberline to Town trail, or T2T, connects Timberline Lodge to Government Camp. It's a beginner friendly, bermy flow trail from top to bottom.

Very helpful. Took the shuttle from Rhododendron (yes, right in the middle of the Hood to Coast run) and had a great ride down. Thanks for doing these videos.

I love your trail review! I descended it twice on my mountain unicycle on August 2021. It's great flow nirvana :)

I'll probably never ride one of those trails, beeing on another continent, but I still enjoy your videos.

Thanks for posting this video. I ended up going there yesterday, took the Shuttle from Rhododendron. Got lost once ended up biking 21 miles on my 25 year old mountain bike with no shocks at all (Not advised). Crazy beautiful ride and weather was great. Your video makes the terrain look smoother that it was for sure.

MrAllinclubs Yeah, GoPro doesn't really do the terrain justice. Glad you had fun!

Rode this yesterday for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised by the jumpable features. More than I was led to believe at 4:30.

there is no better way to spend two US dollars, on God's Green Earth, than the Mount Hood Express!

Should have mentioned the lower half more. The part after Government Camp... It's faster and more fun. The top section is kind of a novelty ride. It's a good place to bring the less experienced people you know and, as mentioned, a great place to hone the cornering skillz. Brah.

The bottom half is Pioneer Bridle. I'll be covering that in a different review. ;)

Yeah... who actually does just T2T without Pioneer Bridle?

I've done it a couple of times. I just park in Government Camp and ride up Westleg.

Pretty fun looking ride! I remember when just the Bridal Trail existed and wasn't ridden very much. I was a much rougher experience!

Great review, glad I stumbled on your channel as we are new to mtb amd live in the Portland area. I would like to do Timberline to Rododendron with my 13 year old son before the season is over. Would a couple beginners on HT's be ok for the 18 mile trek? Are there any printable maps of the trail system, all though it seems pretty explanatory.

i would not say this a beginner trail because it's steep and very rocky and it's hard to focus on anything but the trail without crashing! also its timberline to dairy queen!

Well, it is if you're a beginner, but it's still possible for a beginner to arrive at the bottom in one piece with a sense of accomplishment. T2T does not go to the Dairy Queen. It joins up with the Pioneer Bridle trail which descends to DQ.
