SR3 was a parody of itself, already getting pretty ridiculous, but still a pretty good game. SR4 was, uh, weird. Aliens invade, the Boss is the President, you can f*** everyone in your crew, and you get fricking super powers in a simulation like it's Matrix, but on neon cocaine. Agents of Mayhem isn't even a Saints Row anymore, just a squad-based rpg style hero third person shooter. Then there's the notorious reboot. It just craps on Saints Row as a whole. At least Saints Row 4 tries to honor the first two.

While letting my friend do his sell cargo mission I fought a jet player who I shot him down and saw it slowly spinning and losing power ( it should habe exploded but made a tiny hit yo its wing was just a scratch) it instantly and fully repaired his jet midair and I was in ghost organization and he still found me whileni hid up in the clouds and my friend said "Probably using quad-lens" and I stated "nah man that wasnt a human I was fighting." After he did repeated jet staraffing on me like the cheater he was I left. And my friend later who was still on the ground shot at him man times in the head and found out the dude was in godmode.
I would rather live in Gotham city or Metropolis and have Joker shooting down the street I'm driving on or Superman accidently fly through the building I'm in than to be in Los Santos. Even the Marvel Universe is more peaceful, like dang.
In GTA Online they have to deal with borderline terrorists. Edit: Terrorists are people who terrorize civilian populations for political or religious reasons. Our characters do not have those reasons.
The only thing I didn't like was the NPCs slandering Niko. They make it look like as if he was killing innocent people along the way when that's just not true. GTA III and Liberty City Stories, on the other hand, the rants are well-warranted.

_Saint's Row_ 3 & 4 (and the DLCs), I played them because they were just _fun._ There's no point in taking it seriously, because it's obvious that the games don't take themselves seriously. So just play and laugh and have a blast.
Saints Row 2 was an objectively better experience though, it had the wacky parts for the people that liked that and it had the story where it took itself a little more serious. I don’t see why one had to be sacrificed for the other.
