    I could watch hundreds and hundreds of versions of this song, live or recorded, cocaine loaded or not, and every single version is so unique and charged with hundreds of different emotions, i can't help but cry. Theirs is the king of love stories, and no song portrays the sadness and depth of it more than Landslide....

    Remember, this was supposedly the last FM show for Stevie - who had announced shortly before this show that she would no longer tour with the band (Chris also made the same announcement). The 1990 tour ended here in LA. So, Lindsey was apparently there to be part of "an end of an era." He is typically lukewarm towards Nicks, but not hostile. It was kind of surprising that they decided to reform the "Rumours-era" lineup 7 years later, and more shockingly, keep going for 17 years.

      He was not willing to deal with them in their messed up state anymore, and I don't blame him. If you've ever tried to work with, or live with addicts you would totally understand. Mick was an absolute mess when he left before the Tango tour. He was worried that Stevie couldn't stay sober... and thanks to an idiot physician she couldn't. I read somewhere years ago that he was shocked how muted she was when he was with them at these shows. Klonopin is not supposed to be used long term and she's a perfect example!

    On this tour it was reported that stevie and christine were both leaving the band. Lindsey had already been out for 3 years and seeing it was the last night of the tour lindsey showed up do do a few songs. I can't imagine the feeling in the arena that night..stevie and christine both ''leaving'' and lindsey showing up to sing with them for the first time in 8 years..emotional night i'm sure.

      Rob van der LietDidn't Christine stay until the year they were finally, far too late, inducted into The Rock 'n'Roll Hall of Fame? From 3.10 to 3.13, by the way, she points to Stevie's mike, so it seems, after Stevie has walked towards her, as if to say: "Stevie, get back to your mike and continue the song!"

    ya, and sadly, as fans, its hard too see she's never gonna get that love affair that'll last longer than a few meaningful stares during a 2 and a half hour performance night after night..
    i cant help but think she feels more alone day by day seeing the families john mick and especially lindsey, have...:(

      @@joaxcolThis is a very simple (or special) song and I would like to dedicate it to Buckingham Nicks because I hope maybe someday, he will find it in his heart to spend some time with me again, and maybe do some more music.

    This is amazing, however does anyone else feel the awkwardness after the last 'snoooooooow..... covered' (about 4.42), its as though Stevie wanted to go over and hug Lindsey but Lindsey just wasn't interested! They even have chemistry when they cant stand each other! (even if its negative chemistry)

  • @chookfeather

    they walked out arm in arm and he kissed her...I don't think he refused to hug her he was just waiting for her to finish the song...it seemed like he was saying "you gotta finish Stevie"

      They were. They had reconciled at the time of the realise of Fleetwood Mac's 1988 compilation "Greatest Hits", which is why that album was dedicated to Lindsey Buckungham. And shortly before the performance in the video above Stevie came up to Lindsey and apologized for the things Mick Fleetwood had written in his 1990 book "My Life and Adventures with Fleetwood Mac". (The book said that Lindsey slapped Stevie the day he left the band, but in reality that never happened.)
      Later, in 1993 (when the Rumours 5 reunited for an one-off performance at Bill Clinton's inauguration ball), Mick himself apologized to Lindsey.

    You have said what I would like to have been able to say. I do watch almost every version there is because there's such emotion and I think, suspense in each one. Is Lindsey going to feel love for Stevie again or is he going to be mean to her again?
    One thing is for certain we know Stevie will always look for that love again in each performance.
    God bless!

    Yes, touchy subject indeed! It is misuse of religion. I totally agree that without religion, many many lives could have been saved. Religion can cause many problems as it's most times a man-made belief system - people reaching out to God. A relationship with God on the other hand is something totally different. It is God reaching out to you. From personal experience, it changes your life. I was suicidal and God literally saved me. I can't help but get to know the one who saved my life.

      Rob van der LietI cannot quite find out who is 'at fault'. At a certain moment, Lindsey stretches out his hand, making me wait-almost in great suspense-for Stevie to take it, then she sort of bows and turns away from him. Luckily, at the end of the song, they walk off the stage holding hands.This proves there is still that 'click' between Lindsey and Stevie, maybe especially during this song, even three years after their "physically ugly" fight, as John put it in an interview.

    Provocative "God Bless You" comment? I don't suggest that you go away as everyone has the right to freedom of speech. However I find it interesting that such a simple comment could so deeply "provoke" you. In all honesty, which Christians have hurt you or other people in your life? In most cases of such vehement anger towards Christians, I've found it stems from a personal grievance rather than an intellectual objection. Whatever someone has done, I'm honestly really sorry if they've hurt you.

  • @diulikadikaday
    @diulikadikaday 15 років тому

    I was educated at the University of Auckland in which I hold 2 bachelors degrees. Why do you ask? I think you have a very short sighted prejudiced view of Christians. That you can call them all muderers and hypocrits shows that you don't actually personally know many. Christianity invented genocide? Are you saying that the only people who committed Genocide have done so due to Christian ideology? Do you know what the Qing Dynasty did to the Dzungar Mongols?

  • @diulikadikaday
    @diulikadikaday 15 років тому

    I see where you're coming from, but religion doesn't kill people, people who misuse religion kill people. We didn't get rid of politics after what Stalin, Pol Pot and Hitler did. Political wars have easily killed more people than religious wars. Besides, there are a lot of religious groups making a difference in this world, e.g., Salvation Army. I can only talk about the Western World, but many of the liberties/freedoms we enjoy and the values that we have came from Christianity/religion. e.g.,

    I mean if that guy can kill just because he has no money then he is a killer. What does religion have to do with it. What happened if he went to church never got kicked and had no money ? You said he murdered because he had no money then he would still murder. People murder not religion or anything else, people. Then they use these things as an excuse.The blame goes squarely on the people who do the killing.

  • @diulikadikaday
    @diulikadikaday 15 років тому

    @publicanimal9. Auckland University is ranked 65th in the world. Christians are "undisputed" murderers and hypocrits? Come on, you have to see the flaw in that statement. I never questionned your education (read my comment, please). I wondered if the source of your anger was primarily due to personal reasons. Were you so ardently opposed to religion before you lost your friend? Also, you have a video on your channel promoting Alice Cooper. Why do you support this "born-again" Christian?
