Haha yeah a Giants hat from a few years back. Maybe a BP hat? Hopslam got reviewed YEARS back 🫣 ua-cam.com/video/YlrVaUCzGPQ/v-deo.htmlsi=5aOBAwIec5LsG0Yd
Bigfoot only releases the first of the year. I still have a six pack of it in my aging area. I recently drank some Pale Ale and after drinking numerous IPAs it comes across as a bit thin for me. I really like this years Celebration Ale.
Pale is single Cascade, Celebration is Cascade, Centennial, Chinook. Malt bill is the same, Caramelized, Two-row Pale, although we do not know the ration.
With much respect to your homie and having had these for many, many years. I have to call BS to this being a bigger version. Color and taste alone are so much different. There are obviously malt differences and overall I’m sure the recipe differs more than we think. Celebration will always be goat!
Both beers using 92% two row, 8% crystal. From what I know pale ale only uses cascade. Maybe cascade and centennial now. Celebration uses both hops. Just boosting the alcohol it will change flavor. More importantly using fresh hops for celebration will have a significantly change in hop aroma and flavor. Lastly, they blend pale ale to make it so consistent. Overall from a recipe concept yes pale ale is the small version of celebration but because of the changes the beers will taste much different.
Nice comparison. Celebration is certainly a robust version of Pale Ale, and the former being a double of the latter makes intuitive sense, but the ABVs don't really align with what you'd expect if that were the case. And Celebration uses fresh hops and Pale Ale does not. So I think they aimed to emulate Pale Ale but it’s not literally a double. But that’s all just a guess and regardless, both are fricking fabulous. Cheers!
Yeah I’m not entirely sure what the folks at SN mean when they say “essentially double Pale Ale” but you can’t go wrong drinking them at the same time 😬
I love SNPA but at "near" 6% abv I feel its stops it from being truly "Session-able" and not a crusher. Would have been perfect at 5.0%. And yes when your sessioning beers that extra .6% abv makes a difference, trust me lol.
Two of the best beers ever made !
Yessir! 🍻
I came for the beers but I stayed for that amazing shirt! That album is amazing. Great video, Joe!
It changed my life way back when!!
This was cool. The people want more side by sides
I also want to do them more 😂👊🏼🍻
Thanks for doing this video, Joe.
I’m drunk on Celebration ale again tonight. 😅
Tis the season! 🍻
We need that shirt! "Always Cuvée Players!"
Cheers Joe!
My man 👊🏼🍻
I just watched Darwin's "rant", now onto Joe's review of 2 of my favorite beers! It's a good day.
Love the Cuvee, gonna have to do that soon with some random beers just for fun
#AlwaysCuvee
I saw SN Pale Ale available on tap this Wednesday. I ordered a pour in honor of your channel. 🍻
You’re a real one 👊🏼🍻
The draught version is lower in ABV and has less carbonation. Also, very delicious!
@ my pour left an incredible amount of foamy lacing on the sides of my pint glass. I really enjoyed it. 🍻
@@deanzaZZR where did you get that info?
@@deanzaZZR How could it be different?
93 Til Infinity 🙌

You should do a comparison of pale ale, celebration, and torpedo!
I’ll have to see if I can find some fresh Torpedo 👊🏼
Is that a Giants hat?
Btw.. picked up a six pack of Bells Hopslam today. Have you ever reviewed it? I looked but couldnt find anything.

That hat is 🔥
Bro. I typed your name and hopslam and it still didnt come up! Wtf. 😂
Ill go watch the review now. Thanks for the link
Joe…please do a review of the regular Torpedo IPA (not the Atomic Torpedo) and see how it compares….
Others have said the same so I’ll see if I can find some regular torpedo! 🍻

Makes sense on the SNPA feeling thin. Its a 5.6% pale ale ya know? I need to grab some extra Celebration for January when Bigfoot drops :)

They’re really fun to drink side by side and the cuvée is 👌🏼
Would have liked Anchor Xmas ale (discontinued) versus Celebration
I had heard rumors that it somehow was being released again this year. No idea how that would be a thing
Love the shirt!
You're a real one

Wouldnt Torpedo be a better direct comparison?
Torpedo and Celebration?
@@jsenigaglia Yeah, theyre similar ABV and IBU IPAs, no?
is Hoptimum a tripel?
It’s a TIPA, yeah. I’ve not seen that beer in forever though 😭
@@jsenigaglia 2024 is too much of a good thing
Cold comparison damn!..warmer? give me the Celebration. Hard choice.
So fun to drink them at the same time 👊🏼🍻
Side by side. Fuck yes.
Only way to do it 🔥

Drink them side by side. It’s pretty dope.

The draft version is 5%.
@@ramrunsfast wow that's amazing!
