Loved your reactionto the first. I was pretty confident that it would pull you in quickly. That's how it happened for me. After episode 1, I was hooked. Enjoy and stay awesome!
I love the behind-the-scenes of this series. The Best Canadian writers and directors were in it, and it shows. This is one of the few homegrown Canadian television series that became an international cult classic. This is a series I wish that I could watch again for the first time. It's that good.
Tatiana Maslany really is an amazing actress. She said in an interview that the way she kept each of her characters separate is that she created a different music playlist for each of them, and then she would listen to the playlist for which ever character she was about to play so she could get into that character for the scene
Hi Andy! I told you you were going to love this! Yeah, Tatiana Maslany does a phenomenal job embodying multiple very different characters at once. Here for the first time we see Sarah interacting with Alison and Cosima together, and we genuinely forget we not watching three different people. As I said earlier each character played by Maslany is the star of their own show in completely different genres from each other. Remember, you have not yet met all the characters played by Maslany! She richly deserved the Emmy she got!
Yep, Tatiana Maslany's work in this series is insane. You can actually tell which character she is playing by her posture, body language, even her eyes. Truly somehow her eyes are different in every role. It's way more than just hair and clothes. She's one of the best and most talented actresses of her generation.
This show was playing during the GoT time, but this (Canadian) show is more of a rollercoaster. Tatiana Maslany did an awesome job playing all the different characters (of course this is an actors "wet dream"). Like GoT this show has drama, action and humour.
Tatiana Maslany is one of the most talented and versatile actors I've ever had the pleasure to watch. She's just incredible. You haven't even met my favourite look alike yet! This will be a wild but enjoyable journey! Looking forward to more! Thanks for reacting to this series, Ande! ~FM :)
Hi Andy! Didn't I tell you that you would love this show? Tatiana Maslany is fantastic in playing multiple character simultaneously. Here for the first time we see her interact as Sarah, Cosima and Alison simultaneously and it is hard to remember that we are not watching 3 different people. Remember what I said about ALL the characters Tatiana plays being the star of their own show with different genres to all the others? Just remember we have not even met all the main characters played by Maslany yet. But she richly deserved her Emmy win!
Yeah, Tat Maslany is astonishing in this (she quite rightly won an Emmy for the role and _probably_ should've won more IMO). It could _so_ easily have felt like a VFX showreel, a distraction from the story but between the low-key brilliance of the effects work itself _and_ her performance(s :), you genuinely _forget_ it's happening, it stops being VFX and just becomes their reality. (great cast in general though - Jordan Gavaris is also pretty much indispensable for instance)
The show was produced in Canada. I think it's supposed to take place around Toronto. Tatiana Maslany won a prime time Emmy for Best Actress in a Drama Series in 2016.
Here is a short clip of Tatiana Maslany talking with and about Kathryn Alexandre, the actor who played her acting-double throughout the series: ua-cam.com/video/iGeprgqMFLo/v-deo.htmlsi=GLW2gvz6XaLPdMNf There are longer and more technical interviews with Kathryn but too many spoilers! Maria Doyle Kennedy (who plays Mrs. S.) is an Irish singer and actress who has in been in many movies (like The Commitments, Albert Nobbs, Sing Street) and TV series (like The Tudors, Outlander, Dexter).
If you have not already seen Pose, and you ever get a chance to in future. Please do. Its fantastic. Genuinely love that you also watch and react to series that's so different. Happy Holidays.

Tatiana Maslany is amazing in this series. You totally forget it's one actress. She only won one Emmy for this which is surprising.
Yes.. and the planning and editing to make all the scenes where she is acting with multiple versions of her is just amazing.
Should've won 5 or 6. Each year. lol

Interesting and talented young lady at the center of all of this. And a charming host. Thanks again.

Alison is the soccer mom... and she is my favorite... at least for now.
