Hey Rowan, I just love that private varnish. Just like a model railroad. Not something you see everyday. I wish I can catch stuff like that. Have you seen the Canadian Pacific office car special? I saw it last year going through Bensenville, Franklin Park, Il.
The cow in the background, I guess the train literally scared the piss out of him🤣🤣🤣4:14.
Edit. Also the conductor going passed his own land and blowing the horn to his family is just so awesome!!!
So cool! Thanks for watching!!
4:42 The cow is like “Whut you looking at me or the train that’s coming”
So cool that you took a video of the engineer going by his own farm. I don’t know why but I think it is so neat.
That last angle was my favorite, I loved the s-curve. You don’t even need to tell people to subscribe, anyone who’s a good, fun-loving railfan already has
Hahaa thanks man appreciate you! I'm thinking about not even saying that at the end anymore cause if they want to they going to
He gave you a nice wave when he went by his farm and a horn salute
Man!!! That was cool!!! I’m from Shenandoah Valley, now living in Florida, and I swear that I could smell that farm! Take me home country roads!!!
Rowan, I love your channel and look forward to seeing each post. I'm just learning the jargon but that doesn't keep me from enjoying your work! Keep 'em coming!!! Stay safe out there!!
I will be helping with the jargon soon
Man oh man that horn on 1073 sounds GOOD!!! That cow peeing at 4:19 made me laugh. Foam on brother!
GIVE THE COW PRIVACY
Same
Sweet, sweet catch Rowan! Like you said, "Let's have fun!" That cow was sure having fun... Great shot at 5:52, by the way. Oh yeah, I left a like.
Great chase video Rowan! The engine and the cars in the train were bright and shiny. The portion of the video at the conductor's farm was a must see! It look like the conductor recognized you when the train went past his farm. I really liked the train coming through that "S" toward the end of the video. It looked like all the rail fans were having a great time chasing the train to get as many chances as they could to record the train. Thank you for sharing this video with us!
He does know me and was aware of my presence before arrival! Was a ton of fun, join us sometime!
@@RailfanRowan I can only join you via your UA-cam videos. I live in a south suburb of Chicago.
You saw it again Rowan and even better pulling office course that is so cool BTW I’m visiting the Horseshoecurve in about two weeks not even
Nice bruh,
Nice for the conductor and wife inviting u! Luv the close front view! Would luv to ride in the last car in the luxury back seats!
Thanks Kimberly!
As usual, a fun chase. It's nice to see the other rail fans in the chase. Enjoy your steady shots and informative dialog keep up the good work! GOD bless 🙏
Between the enthusiasm of you and the "squad" chasing this train this one was off to a great start. The cows were not as enthusiastic and one of them managed to express that in typical nonchalant cow fashion LOL The wave from the cab of the Penn Central heritage unit was a nice touch although I'm not sure whether that was directed at you, the cows or the conductor's wife LOL -- maybe all 3. Great fun for 7 minutes.
Yes the cows are very acquainted with the trains! So glad you enjoyed it, this one was a fav of mine for t
he year
Yeah, I agree with the comments made about your video, very nice indeed ! Good to see Rob, hadn’t seen him in a while. Love that farm, beautiful place to film from. Thanks for sharing, I missed this train because of an appointment I had. Glad I was able to see it thru your eyes, so to speak ! Stay safe and healthy my friend :-))
Brown Cow was saying, Hey Dude, What you doing in my Pasture ? Special Greeting was Great! 👍
Holy cow. Those passenger cars were tricked out. Some serious wax job.
Interesting the glass back end. Never saw anything like it.
The loco looked great.
I remember the first time I saw this train in Saint Louis near where I grew up. I loved seeing the shiny paint!
Hey Rowan, coming to ya from Lawerencebrug, Kentucky along the Norfolk Southern Louisville District (Danville,KY-St. Louis, MO) i loved the shot where you were watching some of the cattle on that farm and i think that is really neat the Conductor's Wife lets you film on his farm. Happy Railfanning Rowan. :-)
The Logo on the Front of that Sweet Shiny Black Unit looked Like “RR” for Railfan Rowan. 😬 👍
Yuuuhh
God darn NS must have washed the paint straight off
That's what happens when you only wash it once in every 2 years lol
Well it is penn central heritage, the PC knows how to wash off paint lmao
Good work! You’re obviously having a good time and it makes it fun to watch. Thx.
Thanks Peterson
Greetings from the UK... just love these American rail videos..!!!😏 Liked and Subscribed..!!! 👍👍👍

Awesome catch Rowan! I chased him around the Cincinnati area when he came down my way, couldn’t miss this one!
Saw the FRA near Baldwin yard in Florida a few months ago truly cool catch!
4:42 Interesting stare down contest with the cow. LOL Nice looking train! Loved how they waved at you as they went by the farm.
Yes it was, that was the condensed version of the stare
@@RailfanRowan so, who won? LOL
That must be such an amazing feeling, driving a train near your home. That must be so exciting haha
NS1073 is CLEAN! great chase bro.. Thanks for sharing this video.. all the way from Seattle,Wa🙏🏽

Thanks Rowan, brilliant catches of an impressive train. It’s as good as being there myself the places you’ve chosen to film.
Great video Rowan I caught this heritage unit a month ago at carneys crossing
Love those heritage units. Thank you for sharing this video
That was neat 1st time I seen that one nice paint job on the locomotive and the 2 cars
Awesome train man!! The farm made for some very nice shots.
Absolutely amazing shots Rowan! That's so special that you were able to catch them heading past the conductors farm... super lucky guy to be on a train like that! Awesome work!
Thanks ABR!! APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT BIG TIME
Hey Rowan nice catch of the ocs train that heritage unit needs to be repainted on the cab on top of the window
Yes it does
Great video Penn Central RR locomotive Heritage my favorite
Great video, you're getting really good at this!
Rowan! at 4:20 the cow just ruins that slow shot lol! great video and hope you had a blast
This is a great video rowan. I'm watching your older videos now. I've been missing your posts lately. Where are you? Hope nothings wrong. Take care and God bless you rowan. TGBTG!!!
I'm still here! Got to make sure your notifications are on!!! I'm still posting!
Caught the Penn Central in Cordele,Ga last year, then caught it at the NS yard in my hometown of Columbus,Ga this year and caught it again inside Norris yard in Irondale,Ala. Working part time with PTI has it's perks. That's the only one though! 😂
Great catch! Looks like a fun chase
Cool video thanks Rowan. I remember as a kid riding up to Philly on the train, some of the GG-1 locos had PC markings. I'm in Alexandria Va. I had to laugh at your comment about the traffic out there. In good fun of course.
Hahhaa yep I bet you did laff, is why I don't live in Arlington ;)
Hey rowan its big byce from instagram. Awsome catch bro!
Thanks RR
I saw myself at 1:41! Awesome video
Sweet boi!
Nice i always waited for you to catch those heritage units!
Glad I could help you!
Awesome video Rowan! I always love your videos and appreciate that time you put in them.
Thanks Noah, most don't realize the time!
Fun video, FAST action. Seems like those cows are saying - HO- Hum, seen it all before. I get the feeling those engineers have fun racing down those tracks. Kind of like a "Hot Rod Lincoln" on rails. High adventure around every turn. keep those videos coming.
Will do, thanks for the comments
Awsome catch! Damn I wish I was lucky enough to see a herritage unit.
6:04 now that is what I call amazing!
dude that train is so shiny
Nice video Rowan!
Saw the Penn Central Heritage Unit in Gallitzin coming west out of the tunnel pulling the OCS. Now I wonder if you filmed this the same day I saw it. Stayed at a B&B there just to catch all the trains heading east and West through the Horseshoe Curve. Great video!
Great catch on the Penn Central Heritage Unit
We were supposed to move this train from Atl with SVP and several others , but he got canned on Tues and was canceled supposedly due to hurricane.... funny how that worked.
That penn Central locomotive is very nice looking
Keep up the great work. Nice varnish
Thank you will do!!
2:34 LOL That man Got Me going XD
Same here but with, “And, here’s number 2!” The way Rowan said it got me laughing so hard!😂
0:56 Look at those foamers scramble! I dont consider myself *just* a railfan, Consider myself a *High baller Foamer* lol.
Rowan- been watching for awhile now, you just got a new subscriber. like all you do.
couple of questions:
1) what scanner are you using and does it have the new narrow band capability?
2) how do you keep up with all the train schedules in your area?
would love to sit in on the meetings with the "oldsters" and hear the stories.
Got my first real train experience at 10yrs old when a neighbor (a fuel supplier for the rr) called my Dad one saturday morning and they took me to the depot here in Huntsville, Al. and let me climb into a E6 streamliner engine room. I was hooked after that!
keep up the great work!
Another AWESOME 👏 Video. Well done Rowan!
Thanks so much Wayne!
I love the penn central and never seen an OCS before
Nice one! They really chipped the paint off on the PC.
THIS IS THE GREATEST RAILROAD IN HISTORY THE PENN CENTRAL
Great video man wish i didn't live in Canada so i can foam with you lol. Keep up the awesome work i'll be waiting for the next vid :)
Won't be waiting long ;)
Great engine pen Central It was a very good engine. At least I didn't get one!
Good job catching the train
I love that K5LLA hybrid horn
Great catch Rowan.👍
Nice! Did you see 8100 and 8104 too on NS 776 that day? And the CSX geometry train also passed by that day
Was it that day? Nah I missed it
@@RailfanRowan if it was August 5th, then yes. There was a ton of cool stuff that day, and also, on NS 18T, the operation life saver special unit was on there. It is definitely what us railfanners would call a "hit" day, especially in the evening
Surprised at the peeling black paint on 1073. Like me when I was sun burned as a kid.
Penn Central needs a New Coat of Paint!
04:20 - When ya gotta go, ya gotta go!
Great catches Rowan!
NS has been using SD60E’s on OCS so if we’re lucky we could get 6920 911 or go rail
Well done from Melbourne Australia
Thanks 6A Fan
Awesome chase video bro. Love it!!!
Nice !!!!
Literally Started the same way my video did LOL i guess i wasnt the only one who had it fly around the corner and get like 10 seconds to get the vid rolling and get a decent shot
You guys are pretty awesome!
Wow!!! That train is FAST
Yes it was! Very zippy!
Great Catch Rowan! Its a shame to see the paint chips on the PC herritage. But it's technically realistic due to the PC's lack of $money and maintanence
Just consider the chipped and worn paint as 'prototype weathering.' I can almost guarantee some rail modeler will do it.
Lol NS is knowing what they’re doing lol, like keeping 1071 dirty as heck
NS 1073 IS MY FAVORITE HERITAGE UNIT!
5:45 beautiful track geometry
Hi Rowan, I caught this same one in alliance paste week
Nice catch Rowan cool chase
Thanks Michael!
Nice catch!
Thanks boi
2:03: ooh, shiny
Wow that sucks paints coming off still have not seen that one yet still on my list I live in central washington State and I have only seen the southern railway and central of Georgia working for hallcon I was hoping to get a better chance at seeing some of the others.
