Good comparison. It seems that so many times, upgrades are just incremental.
This was lerfect and exactly what i wanted to hear. Thank you!
Thanks for watching :)
I’m finding it so difficult to decide which wheel to buy. I’ve been using a Logitech G25 for around 14 years now, all the way from Gran Turismo 4, through GT5 and 6, and then onto Forza Horizon 4, putting it through a Creative Minds DriveHub so it would be compatible with the Xbox. The thought of upgrading it was never in my mind until a few weeks ago, when suddenly after an Xbox update, the shifter stopped working. The shifter is not broken, it’s simply had it’s functionality removed by the update. Finding myself in a position where I was forced to buy something to have the same experience as I’d always previously had, I went all in and bought a Thrustmaster TS-XW Servo Base, along with a TM Rally Wheel R383, a set of T-LCM pedals, and a TH8A gearstick. However, I’m returning it all because it’s absolutely atrocious and not a patch on my old G25. I’d looked at the G923 before purchasing the Thrustmaster - but after hours of research, I assumed reasonably enough that the Thrustmaster would be a massive upgrade. Oh, how wrong I was. I’ll never buy another Thrustmaster product as I’ve been absolutely staggered by how bad the TS-XW has been. But now, I’m looking once again at the G920 or G923 and wondering which one to buy. Does anyone have any experience with either of those wheels on Forza Horizon 4 on Xbox? I’m looking for something I can just plug and play without hassle, without the need to fettle with it on a computer before it’s usable.
Nice honest review , just been looking at one of these sets for my PS5.
Thank you for this awesome review, i decided to go for a used G29 + shifter for around $160 and use the leftover money for a stand for the steering instead of buying a G923 + shifter for $210. I know that price is already very cheap but $200 is my very top budget
How do u find this price
Thank you. I will totally go with your setup
I also did this.
Damn that price is crazy cheap💀👍🏽 enjoy bro
on the g29, you can remove the brake stopper by taking out a rubber block in the brake.
G923 is definitely worth the upgrade. I put in 1500 hrs on the g29 and you can feel the difference day 1. I already noticed the G923 feels more real and direct . Also the brake pedal feels more stiffer than the g29. I love it!
no it's not, not worth that price difference lmao
you can literally get a t300 RS GT bundle for the same price and its far better than the 923
@@kintsugittv2537it’s definitely not worth the price but worth the upgrade plus the G29 feels so numb after a while I.
@@kintsugittv2537 yeah but then you need to pay 1000 for gear shifter and hand brake
@@LawsOnJoystickThrustmaster shifter and handbrake isn't that much more then what logitech would be. Plus you coulda always just buy cheap crappy ones.

Thank you for your honest review! I did pick up the G920 with shifter and I am very happy with it. I found a package deal for 150 euro ^_^ alot better then the price of the 923
Same situation here, do you still enjoy it?
Same situation here, do you still enjoy it?
@@verfreshtyeah! I still like it very much. using it now for the motorsport game that came out
Thanks for the honest opinion! Was thinking about upgrading for GT7 but my G29 is still performing well and I'm not sure I'm ready to drop the money on a Fanatec.
Nah, keep it a lil longer
I'm just annoyed they've never made the middle a button. I wanna put the horn there
Why haven’t I ever thought of this 🤔
Regarding TRUEFORCE, I would add that the driving games that are coming out are not supporting it, and of those that currently support it some are doing it poorly. For example, Automobilista 2 does not use it despite being listed, in the Snowrunner the implementation is terrible (the high frequencies are not filtered and only a hum is heard, the horn is heard more than the engine), in PC3 -even recently - the GHUB was in conflict with the game ... and that's practically 1/3 of the games that implement this feature.
PLSSSS DO THE T300 IM THINKING OF GETTING ONE AND YOUR THE ONLY REVIEWER THAT I LIKE
i have it.. GET IT it is amazing!!! would recommend getting some different pedals tho
Get t300rs gt edition the pedal is not that good and not that bad i recommended you to get t-lcm to replace the T3PA gt that come with the set other than that the wheel is amazing i have it for like 2-3 months now and i regret nothing.
Ive found a t300 GT rs for 100 euros last week. Its amazing.
@Jenson Ristevski yes was used. He got rid of it because the dpad was stuck and the pedals squeaked. Opend the wheel up(just the few bolt) dpad flew out and that reassembled it and it was fixed.
Opened the pedals, put some lubricant in there and the squeak was gone lmao
@@Nickinatorz the speak is common in t3pa so that's why i recommend people to get t-lcm
This is second video down when I searched this comparison, it should be first. The first video is a sponsored ad essentially. Thank you for the honest opinion.
Very helpful, keep up the great work...
When Will the ”t150/tmx force feedback vs g29?
Soon 👀
Great comparison, really leaves no questions in the mind
I was so set on picking the G923 up but I would love something that would be compatible with both consoles and pc. I'm not looking for hardcore just for fun and a diverse set of settings. After watching so many reviews I'm even more confused and still can't decide! Any recommendations would be appreciated
I'm the same as you
I’ve been successfully using a drivehub for years now to play my Xbox G920 on my One, Series X, PS4 and PS5 (PS5 needs a cheap wired controller so it doesn’t disconnect every 10 mins). Highly recommend a drivehub if you want one wheel for multiple consoles
@@richg4202 i was looking into that!! But no one could give me a solid answer. I am considering it for the price too. I ended up buying the G923 for ps because i have gran turismo and assetto on ps4. Pc i can play the most recent forzas. However i would love to play horizon 1-3 and other of my racing games that are mostly on xbox. Thrustmaster t300 was my other option but atm it's a bit difficult to get and i got a good discount from a friends work on the Logitech. Overall I'm pretty happy and eventually when money and space allows I'll buy something nicer!
@@Lunatical_Reaper I don't see this combo anywhere for 301 usd. any links to it on amazon?
Get a used g25 or 27 folks!!! Same tech, stop wasting money.
I don't have a wheel so I went for the 923. I was going to go with the T248 but Amazon sent me an open one and I didn't want to pay full price for used merchandise. The Logitech is a beater too so it'll probably be the only one I ever need.
How u like the g923? I'm trying to buy my first wheel and can't make up my mind g923 or t300 rs gt.
Tbh I just want a racing sim so I can figure out if I can drive or not as an autistic man with Asperger syndrome adhd and ocd. ADHD being my biggest problem/fear when it comes to driving for obvious reasons. I just wanna practice and see if it’s even possible for someone like me who’s mentally disabled can drive a car. I don’t want a racing sim that’s something right out of f1 car I just want a good steering wheel shifter and pedals and that’s compact and not over $500 and I hear good things about the g923 but I just wanna be sure before I commit to buying one that I’m getting something decent and not something that’s a pile of hot garbage and makes me and my wallet wanna cry
were you able to get one?
@@neometalx9 not yet unfortunately I would love to
Solid Review! Can't find a difference sometimes in my G25 to the G29, except I like it more with the SQ shifter mode in the G25!
Thank you. Most useful and honest review for beginner who know nothing or dont know how to select
You’re very welcome :)
Here’s hoping the older models lower in price soon
Far superior force feedback, I am a newbie to sim racing if I started on a t300 I’d go bankrupt cry break me arms and have a mental breakdown, g920 is already giving me a workout
Would it be worth to buy if the g923 were to be my first and last wheel as I don’t plan on buying a new/upgrade
I'd get the T248 as my first and last wheel. It's smoother, more powerful, and it's a pretty good wheel for the price. Also *BUTTONS*
Great review. Thanks alot
If you have an extra $100 - 200 to improve realism in your sim racing, then go for the g923, but if your on a budget and you want something that gets the job done with force feedback, then go for a g29/g920 or even a g27 as they are extremely cheap and they can be bought at lots of second hand stores. Overall the g923 doesn't really provide any other game changing features besides true force, which is really quite subtle but is quite ideal for truck driving simulators, as it will provide the feeling of how challenging driving a truck can really be. Personally I would buy the g29 or g27, thanks for your opinion bud!
bad advice. Why go for the g923? It's literally not worth that extra $100-$200. That is the entire point. Yes its better, but not worth that price lol.
@kintsugittv2537 the clause of their statement was personally they would buy the g29. So as someone looking for what to buy I appreciate the advice specially since I've used the g29
@@kintsugittv2537 is it worth and extra 70 bucks?
Really loved this Review ill go for the g923 for the true force and the no dead zone problem
with that money you can buy a t300 or TX please don't buy a g923. there's such better options for that price. It's a more expensive g29 with vibration. If you alreeady bought cncel or refund quickly. T300 has better modifiabillity, force feedback and overal quality.
@@OhKnow379 I live in Morocco my only option is the g923 getting anything else would require me to buy it on the internet plus the extra price would much more expensive
@@medslk9753 Buying on the internet has been better in my experience however if there are no thrustmaster t300s in the same price band as the g923 then go for it
You did forget to mention that there is a rev indicator on the g923 but not on the g920. Great video too
Nice one, so for the first wheel ever, do you recommand to get G923 or G29?
for the first wheel g29 is good, but if you can buy g923, do it then
The review is always better when it doesn't get sponsored
So I bought the g92 thinking it was the g923 and this vid saved me from all the hope I lost when I realized what I did. Was planning to wheel swap anyway so wasn’t even going to use then rev limiter and original wheel
Well done! Good, useful objective info
Great vid! But I'm wondering, where I live the g923 only costs 290$ compared to the 400$ and the g29 is 220$. which is better to buy as a first wheel, not planning to upgrade anytime after I buy it.
Both will work great. If you believe the upgrades of the G923 are worth the $70 price difference, go for it! In my opinion, I would just go with the G29 and buy the $60 H-Pattern shifter instead. Going with the G923 would ultimately be a great choice as well however.
@@OCRacing yeah i feel like the g923 will be better in the long run. As i will get a tiny but of extra features on it and the shifter is more easily replaceable then the wheel.
"It kind of just feels cool" is exactly the type of explanation I've been looking for.
Cheers
Thanks, I'll get the T300 RS
That's 200$ in Canada 399.99$ vs 599.99$... Major price difference... I'm leaning towards the g29
Here in the Netherlands the difference is 60€ what do you suggest
@@embr33 LMFAO I went g923... It's been great.
Video idea: Most underrated/overrated sim racing hardware and why they are underrated/overrated, or why you should by them.
I’ll keep that in mind 👍
I don't know WHAT wheel to choose. I was going to order Thrustmaster first, but everything is on limited supply
Good review. I just ordered the 923 as my first wheel. I wanted to try the thrustmaster 300 but they seem to be on backorder or too expensive from other sellers.
How is it going so far?
@@crashlaga good question I don't know to😎
@@alchercraft7014 Im gonna answer because i got one myself. I think its great if you have no prior experience with other wheel. I get people's complain about the gear system but for me its something i can compromise because the build quality (apart from the rotary knob) is perfect. Tonnes of fun especially if you're coming from playing sim with a controller and are looking to be competitive with the grid. If i keep playing i can see myself upgrading, but this is a good wheel as it is
@@crashlaga that's cool mannn
I don't see any reason to upgrade from the G29 to a G923. Also, it seems that in order to upgrade from the Logitechs, you really need to spend a lot more money. Logitech really seems to nail the features and quality at this price point.
Man, that's a nice wheel, but I sure wish I could still use my Driving Force GT.
I bought a new g29 for around 205 dolars, the 923 was 100 dolars more expensive, the decision was easy
Where?
how can they charge so much more for so little improvments
Thank you for the informative and candor review of the product. Now I know that my money is going to value rather than upgrade.
I'm an Xbox boy but I found a g29 for 200$ in my country, the guy just lives 20 minute car ride away from me so I'm gonna buy it next paycheck
im stuck on what i should buy, t300 rs gt or g923, read a lot of articles, comments, posts about them, most saying the g923 isn't worth the 400€
to my surprise it's only about 300€ here in austria, with g29 being 250€ and t300 rs gt being 340€
i like logitech for the cheapness since i really want a shifter, thrustmasters shifter price is really over the top for me, logitech one, although being weaker, is afaik easy to modify to make it stronger to pull
some also say that g923 has more direct ffb but t300 has a bit stronger one, but also that the quality on g923 is better since some belt systems caught fire and such
my plan for now was this:
get g923 and shifter, play some time and slowly start to modify them, after stonks sell g923 and upgrade to a better one
any advice and help would be appreciated
The T300 RS GT is a better product. It has more features and is more immersive. For this price the trhustmaster is killing it
what a good wheel for a beginer? like me
No backwards compatibility with ps3 and no games that leverage true force make the g29 the better choice. The g29 works with PS5 too.
Didn't know that! Thanks for the comment :)
Hello, which steering wheel would you recommend, the g923 or the g920? I want to sell my g25 and buy one of the two new models. I don't actually need Thuerforce. Are the extra buttons on the g923 and Thuerforce worth the extra price? The g920 or the g923?
Can you please tell me the advantages and disadvantages of both of the le-bikes. I am happy about every answer!
I would recommend a T300, it is a much bigger upgrade. Really the G25 isn't going to be that big of a difference at all going to a G920 or G29 because the internals are the same.
I assume you are on Xbox because you're looking for g920. I'd say go for Thrustmaster TX
Hello, I play on my PC, i think, the g920 is for the price better than the g923, right?

hi i am a biginer and i was thinking about getting a wheel and what do you think i should get bc i think i should get theG29 but i what ted to know your opinion
G29 is a fantastic beginners wheel that won’t break the bank.
Trying to decide between G920 (€150, used) and G923 (€250-€280, new). I wanna mainly play Dirt 2.0, Forza Motorsport, maybe F1. Happy for any advice.
Which did you get? I was wondering if the Moza R3 is better (PC and xbox series x here) for the job although not cheap at all. + it needs 3rd pedal and shifter=extra more money
Ur channel is amazing
This might have been said already in the comments, but when I upgraded I did notice a smoother feel to the FFB, espcially with rapid jerking inputs which on the 920/29 felt like you were going to tear the belt off the motor. Also I've noiticed it's alot quieter. Still not fully worth the upgrade unless you plan to sell your 920/29 to offset the cost (which I did).
First video ive seen explaining the true force
Best reviewer in my opinion

At the end of 2022, in my country at least, the price difference isn't that big. So I better go with the G923.
Thank you ~ may be g29 no different with g25.... besides the brake and the keypad on the wheel.
Yes made my mind up getting a g29 a shfiter fo 300 bran new . Instead of the g923 for 350 with no shifter thank you
I have the g923 and I like it but it’s a bit rattly sometimes.
Agreed
Logitech wheels tend to rattle a lot for whatever reason.
@@OCRacing good to know
It rattles due to it being gear driven wheel, you can’t avoid it unfortunately unless you go belt driven.
@@zeyzerx3722 yea and also when I’m not moving it it tends to start going back and forth, something I wish didn’t happen.
TrueForce is just forcse feedback. Witch on belt driven wheels are more powerful.
They have 5 dollars of difference now on Amazon
I really don’t know wich one to buy because I like the rev light on the g29 even if it’s a small detail but when I’m like playing Forza the button on the g29 will be the one for the PlayStation.
what wheel do you usually use in your rig?
Thrustmaster TS-XW
I don't know whether to get the G923 or G920/G29 as my first wheel. I plan on upgrading within the year if I enjoy sim racing. Aside from the lack of TrueForce support, I was wondering if the extra you pay for the G923 is worth it just for the brake upgrade or if I just buy a different spring for a G920. I need some help to say the least lol.
I would highly recommend sticking with the G29/G920, especially if you are planning on upgrading.
G29/920
everywhere I looked in my country, a g29 is 1699 RON, which is like 350 dollars, and the g923 is 1899 RON, which is like 380 dollars. There is little to no difference in price, I have tried a g29 before but the brake pedal was really bad from my experience. considering all of these, would you say that its worth it getting the g923? I really need an answer, since I am buying one of these two in 3 days from now. Thanks in advice, love your videos!
Witch one did you Get, and do you like it?
I wonder if the plastic film is still on the hub till this day?
I think I'll get the G29 I don't want to pay extra 150$ to have better vibration feel and a little bit different brake pedal
Witch is more responsive about driving?
can the thrustmaster t300 be used with any shifter from amazon or is it only compadible with the 250$ one made for it?
So its 50 bucks for a light, a lighter pedal, and some different finish?
still waiting for a Tilt wheel to come out
What's up with the saturation of that track? It looks like fortnite :D
😳
idk if you still answer at this point but i noticed that in general even on amazon the g923 has only xbox symbols, does that mean its a pc-xbox exclusive wheel?
I got lucky and got the g923 for $200 on sale for Amazon Black Friday early special
They don't look like a new product. This looks more like rebrand with an small upgrade so we cannot call it the same product. Frankly the price seems too high. At least without any special offer price.
Logitech does this all the time. It's quite frustrating honestly.
