Its so heartbreaking that he had to go thru all of that. What a sweet guy and how cool that he can have such a great sense of humor about it but what a traumatizing experience. I'm not knocking his mom but its so awful that so many kids dont have anyone to talk to about everything they experience and help them thru it. He deserved better.

This was a valuable story. I wonder how many other little boys don't realize they have a penis issue until they are in their late teens???

you know that unless the procedure it's truly necessary from the medical point of view, then it's genital mutilation (and most of this mutilation is done on children that can't decide for themselves)

@@envoltaemla6652 Yeah, it's got to be at an age where the patient is old enough to defend themself.
Facing a full grown man with a blade when you're not big enough to do anything about it just isn't cricket.

How repressed was he as a child or a teenager that he had never pulled back his foreskin, even to bathe himself? 😳🤯

    • @livluvlive

It's not repression. It's a medical issue called Phimosis. Unless you are actively talking about bathing or watching other guys bath closely, it's not obvious that you've got something different going on. that's why he learned by watching porn.

This is so bad in so many ways. Congratrulating a man on having a penectomy? OK imagine if this had been a women telling about her vulvectomy. How her vulva was different from all those in porn she'd watched. How she'd gone to have it checked up and the male doctor reacted with shock and how she'd screamed when he tried to part it all to find the glans and then said she'd need a vulvectomy?
There's so much spin to this story it doesn't make much sense. Why would sex be painful for him wearing a condom and why was this the deciding factor in getting a checkup? He might have still been a virgin at this time but it was hardly his first sexual experience since he was so keen on porn! A doctor who is so quick to make a diagnosis requiring amputation and given the reaction must have had a cutting cultural background, again imagine say a male doctor with a Somali cultural background doing the same in the case of reversing the genders? Being unable to walk and a nine month recovery means there must have been a lot more done than a partial penectomy removing the prepuce even with a haemotoma complication, which is not serious.
If there is any truth in all this then chances are that his condition was caused by iatrogenic injuries as the result of the propagation of the cutting myth that the 4skin is dirty and needs special "cleaning" attention especially considering his African heritage. The NHS by its own account performs 20,000 unnecessary penectomies a year and this was more than likely one of them!
This screams for the necessity of a reeducation program in the NHS however this obviously is not going to happen and a good proportion of males will no doubt continue to have unnecessary penectomies along with the continued cultivation of cutting culture.

Did you even listen to this story? You seem so very very confused about so many things I don't even know where to begin.... He didn't have a penectomy (partial or complete removal of the penis) he had a circumcision (removal of the foreskin). And he needed this because he most likely had phimosis (an unusually small/tight foreskin which makes retraction quite painful). While this can often be remedied through progressive stretching exercises and steroid creams, extreme cases do indeed require more drastic medical intervention.
A vulvectomy involves partial or complete removal of the vulva. The vulva includes the mons pubis (or mons veneris), labia majora, labia minora, clitoris, vestibular bulbs, vulval vestibule, urinary meatus, the vaginal opening, hymen, and Bartholin's and Skene's vestibular glands. This is a medically required surgery due to things such as cancer. The thing you're thinking of is labiaplasty (plastic surgery on the labia only). This is a cosmetic surgery which is usually also an elective one (done solely for vanity reasons) rather than being medically necessary, though there are sometimes legitimate medical reasons to do this as well.
Long story short, this was a medically necessary procedure due to extreme pain which is no where near the same thing as one done simply because it 'looked funny' and had nothing to do with 'hygiene'. (and for the record, I completely agree that circumcisions performed on infants simply because of misconceived notions of hygiene is indeed barbaric. That doesn't change the fact that sometimes they are required)

Google phimosis and discover that it IS a necessary procedure for some to prevent pain and discomfort. I agree that its a ludicrous thing to do to babies and should only proceed where medically relevant to do so, but you've completely got the wrong end of this.
