Thanks for your enthusiasm and support. I'm an engineer, three of my five degrees are in engineering. I've worked in four different continents as an engineer, as principal investigator, or subcontractor for companies like L'Electricite de France, Mitsubishi (Japan), Microsoft, among many others. Recently, the IEEE Communication Engineering Society, through its president at the time, Dr. Rabab Ward, talked me into being the voice and face of an ad-hoc effort to bring my particular taste of teaching to universities abroad. During that time, I gave one-week-long workshops to engineering and science professors of universities chosen for me by the IEEE, on what a colleague tongue-in-cheek called "the gospel of teaching according to L.R." I have been teaching at an Ivy League Canadian university for some years, where I served as Associate Head for five consecutive one-year stints. I chaired the EE curriculum reform committee for that university for three years. But all can be summarized in three words: I love teaching.

Midnight, late? Not really, that's when my productive day begins. I won't go to bed until 4 or 5 am. Midnight is just at the beginning.
