This is a fair review and echoes other comments from UA-camrs who feel that MIDI is too complicated or counterintuitive. But MIDI unlocks so much on the Ridge for a comparatively small investment of time to learn.
Wibbel my money go towards this pedal? The jury is still out. Personally I wouldn’t mind hearing this compared to a digital multi overdrive like the Boss Od-200
I love that so many guitarist are just ‘technology challenged’ and can use very basic MIDI pedals… when users such keyboardists have been using way more complicated MIDI features for 40 years now. It just makes me think that guitarists aren’t really smart… no wonder most of their gear haven’t changed since the ‘50s. I don’t care about saying that, I’m sure most of them won’t know how to use their “flip phone” to go on the internet to even read my comment.
Great demo, the points you make are really valid and it's important to highlight some of these key things that could be a make or break for some.

In korea it is expensive almost 380 USD I am thinking of returning it but can't decide :(
If you love it keep it, if it has no place....
@@yaguitar I am not sure , I am a beginner in electric guitar so not that easy :)
@@persiaguitar ahhh. What sort of music are you interested in ?
@@yaguitar Rock , Hard rock and for my first electric guitar music I am practicing that old Hotel California! :)
@@persiaguitar if you can try one, a tube screamer may be better, or a rat for heavier music
Another option paralysis pedal perhaps?
Wibbel
I think it is deeper than that. It has no personality of its own - which is ok as it can be anything, but that doesn't ring my bell!

Having used things like the Stomp, the overdrive here is much nicer. It's real diodes, real analog response and real clarity.

It's less not smart and more happy with what I have. I always struggle to tap dance and play at the same time.
