Thanks for sharing this. What a great movie. Though she wasn’t the lead, Amanda’s roll was pretty big and she played it well. James’s was smaller but it was fun to see him as the eldest son sporting blond hair and wearing overalls.❤❤

It was neat to see that they were in the same movie prior to a 20 year history.

Wow, that ending really snuck up on me. I've been watching a ton of westerns lately and this is the first one that has made me tear up. Thanks for the upload!

This was a great and uplifting movie. I wish they made movies this good now ! Wonderful to see a young Amanda Blake ! BTW, I didn't spot James Arness until the last scene at the church They was he came in, you'd think his last name was Hagan. He looked like one of Festus' cousins wanting to shoot the hangy down thing plum off his ear.

I'm here because I'm reading a bio on the director, Jacques Tournier. HIGHLY rated film in the book.

Everyone should watch this movie. It was powerful on so many levels, and very realistic. Oh if Hollywood would make more movies like this, it could change the atmosphere of the entire country. Unfortunately, the philosophy of Hollywood today is far removed from this perspective. It was great to see a pastor who wasn't a complete idiot, crook, or a charlatan. It showed Amanda Blake and James Arness before they become famous in Gunsmoke a few years later.
