I've rewatched this three times now, and it gives me chills each time. Great job Namco! Pretty sure this is by far one of the best trailers for a Tales game import i've seen. It really captures the dark feel of ToX2.

I have not played any games that provoke such wide arranges of emotions as the Tales games. They can make me laugh, and they can make me cry, and if that doesn't convey the awesomeness of these games, then honestly nothing will. Seriously, they will make you laugh right before hitting you with a freight train of feels.
Coming back here to rewatch this again after having beaten the game is like getting stabbed in the heart with one hundred knives and/or getting punched repeatedly. Something like that. Goddammit, all those lines and clips that I now know the context of (and yeah holy crap that's a lot of spoilers there woah) aarrrRGHHHHHHHHH. Can't wait to replay it with Ludger's voice in the choices to hurt me more, because his VA sounds absolutely fantastic here. "Isn't there another way, Julius?" JUST KILL ME WITH THAT LINE RIGHT THERE. ;__________; And of course the effing "Hymn of Trauma", as I have renamed it. They sing it so freakin' much in the game, along with all the instrumental versions of it, and most of the time it's being sung by someone who is currently busy dying. Yeah. *throws self off cliff* Still remains an amazing trailer. ...Though I will say it makes the game look better than it actually is, since I was a little let down in the end, for reasons I won't go into else I start rambling even more.
Well, you kinda have to, they confirmed that they were already working on this dub prior to the reception of dual audio, so its dub only due to being programmed over the original.
SeizureSaladDressing I don't get why Milla is hated so much for her voice. I mean, she has a lisp and is I little monotone, but people lisp all the time in real life, and considering who she actually is, the monotone works to show that.
Shadow51423 Personally i like the lisp she has for reasons. thats what people like hating on i guess. it isn't too bad , but also i can't figure out who can do it better job VA Milla. I've played more of the game recently and yeah it totally fits i like her voice.
Shadow51423 Precisely, you and Seizure said the most correct thing about Milla's English voice: it is monotone, but fits her perfectly (it has a mature tone). You must see the context to judge. And if you noted, after certain events in the game, almost in the end, her voice acting change due to the plot, getting more lively. Without doubt, a excellent job of voice acting and direction (which followed Milla's changes during the game.)

I've read though that reviews of the japanese version has been pretty subpar, since the story and locations are vastly reused in regards to the first one

First time watching this trailer, and holy crap, it looks really good!! I might actually get it on launch day. I just beat tales of xillia 1 a few days ago, and loved it. The tales games are probably the best jrpg's around these days.
"Can you handle it? Destruction? Decision?" Isn't that how Ludger's story begins? I saw the beginning and it literally starts with someone using a Mystic Arte saying something along those lines, literally translated "Can you really handle it? The will to pass judgement? To save? To destroy? Answer me, Ludger Will Kresnik!" So I'm assuming that's from the same part.
I've never played Tales of Xillia but after this i don't have the patience to sit through that game, i need to play this one. I'm currently doing the same thing with Tales of Symphonia. I'm currently playing Dawn of the New World which is the second in the Symphonia series. I may not understand some locations, characters, or even events but i think of playing the 1st game of the series a prequel of some sort.
Here's an idea: If they ever make a Tales of the Abyss 2 then it should take place in the 2 year time-skip that way they don't interfere with the ambiguous ending.

I have been waiting for this. It looks so epic! The 1st, loved it, the characters grew on me.

This voice acting is incredible. I usually switch to the Japanese audio. I might stick with English here.

tales of xillia has some pretty good english voice acting. except for Milla but yeah its pretty good

Yeah, Gaius is my main, really awesome character, now i'm in my 2nd playthrough, battling in the illusionary darkness dungeon.
