it's so weird to live in an age where your favorite band drip-feeds you new releases for free. Maybe it's normal for most people, but I don't think Ive liked a band this much until now. Total Lake head
yeah, music "sales" are like almost entirely driven by streaming revenue now, and physical sales barely contribute to the total picture (at least relatively speaking). Though there are a lot of obvious downsides to this approach (particularly on the artist end, one of the easiest to point to being that double-albums and "much larger quantity of shorter songs"-type albums have become WAY more common in order to raise streaming numbers), the plus side is that we pretty much get all new music releases available for free the instant it releases.

Man when they played this song as the opener when they came to Portland. Damn. Did a slow build with each band member coming out and the music slowly built. Until Rachel finally steps out to the mic and just jumps right into that catchy chorus as all the lights come on. Magical.

I had to look this song up because they play it on the Speedway convenience store where I work. Its one of maybe 40 songs they play on a loop in all Speedway stores I think. It's mesmerizing in it's terribleness. I hear it in my deepest darkest nightmares.
