This is a channel for people who suffer from DPDR and anxiety (depersonalization and derelization - DPDR). If you have depersonalization or derealization there is a way to get out of it and get your life back. DPDR is a symptom of anxiety that makes you feel like you're looking at yourself from the outside (depersonalization) or you experience life 'like looking through a fishbowl' (derealization). More symptoms include emotional numbness, panic attacks, racing heart, intrusive thoughts, feelings of dread, visual snow, catastrophising and so many more.
It can be extremely scary and exhausting and often it feels like there is no way out which causes a lot of anxiety. However, there is a way out and it's absolutely possible to live a normal and connected life, permanently.

You should do a video about the gut - brain connection! I've known people with a terrible distorted microbiome and after fixing it their dpdr lessened so much as well. Would be interested in your view on it since I'm an avid watcher.

Does this apply during benzo withdrawal? I've never had it before going through withdrawal. I'm in extreme fight/flight. Completely devastating...

I'm unsure of the specific process of coming off meds and withdrawals, but I know there is a period of adjustment time. I have found that daily routines help with a lot of things because as people we need goals, even if it's the goal of doing normal things throughout the day.

Is dpdr the reason why i can nolonger read? Its like my brain isnt working

Brain fog is a symptom so that could be a reason. It depends what you mean by 'no longer read'.

@@aneeshkumar9704 Yes it will go when fully recovered. If you have concerns you can ask your doctor to see if there is anything physically wrong.
