This was excellent to watch/listen to, and yes the fireworks were an excellent addition. I recall being on the ground in Southbank and watching flight radar as they cleared the air space and had to wait for the rescue chopper to land at PA before the C-17 came in. Wish I caught the ATC that night!! 🎆

+slitheenvsrose123 If you listen to ATC in Australia enough you'll hear a fair amount of banter between ATC and pilots, especially during special events. Even so the level of professionalism is so high, I love listening in.

You mean the audio used in this video? What I used here was everything related to Riverfire (everything else was just the normal arriving/departing aircraft).
Sooe basically the river is on fire, hornets are running scared and everyone is getting high? Oh, my! Even the police whirlybird is lit! Australia is COOL!
Whilst this doesn't document any incidents, it does show military and civilian jets and helicopters in the same airspace. Very cool. Did the Polair have it's lights off because it was over suburbia?
