What's shocking with my T450's is that if you put one with Windows 10 side by side with one with Kubuntu, same batteries, Kubuntu blows Windows out of the water with battery life. With Windows the CPU never really properly idles, so it eats the battery like there's no tomorrow. And for many things with Kubuntu, I can throttle the CPU to 800Mhz, restrict it to one thread, and it's still usable. (In case I really want to stretch the battery life.)

Good news, the displays on the vast majority of ThinkPads (including yours) are dead simple to upgrade.
You can upgrade to a 1080p IPS panel quite easily. Just find a compatible panel (you can search for a T450 1080p IPS screen in a search engine of your choice), remove the external battery, go into the BIOS and turn off the internal battery for servicing. You can than take off the bezel of the laptop using a thin sharp prying tool (without doing anything else), than unscrew the screen, take it out, and install your new one. Than put the bezel back on and you're golden.
Just to note, I've heard that a few panels for the T450 work but don't allow you to adjust brightness in Windows, however do work in GNU/Linux. Seeing that you don't use Windows, that should be no problem.
Also on another note, you can swap the FN and CTRL keys in the BIOS.

Thanks for your comments on my videos. Really appreciate it.
Yes, if I have the money, I might upgrade the panel in the future. Upgradability is one of the reasons I bought a ThinkPad.
Also, thanks for the info about swapping the FN Key. I will do it :)

If you master the trackpoint on a fairly new laptop(the ones that have no track point drift) you can be over powered in fps games XD. I saw one of my friend do that once

I have a 200 dollar budget and iam thinking to buy one but my question is can it do programming without stuter and does it heat up fast

Yes, for me, I am able to develop Android apps, with emulator. Just try to not have a lot of apps opened, or increase the RAM. The only times where it really gets hot it's in performance mode, running a 3D game.

I have a 15 inch MSI Alpha. Similar looking design. Linux compatible too but more optimized for gaming. Quite a bit more pricey due to containing gaming hardware tho.

Everything is Linux compatible. Some more than others, but it will run on anything.

I'm planning to buy a ThinkPad t430. It comes with an 500gb hard drive but i plan to upgrade it to a 1tb ssd.
Is it worth it? I plan to use it with linux mint and i plan to use it for homework, watching movies and youtube vids and as a storage device.

Hey, apology for the late reply. I haven't been able to even use my PC.
If you only plan to use it for those things, it could be a fine deal, if the price is cheap. I don't think Linux absolutely requires a SSD, but you could buy a cheap, small SSD to install the system on, and use the 500GB HDD for data
