Pay attention passive people. This is why you don't sit on the fence becuase it's easier not to rock the boat. Push back, speak up, do the right thing even if you think everyone hates you for doing so. Be the light you wish to see.
This is what God means with the lukewarm metaphor. "Oh I wish you were either hot or cold, but because you are lukewarm, I shall vomit you out of my mouth." This is a level of disgust even evil doesn't receive from God, with evil it is just anger. With fence sitters it is disgust.
Something that C. S. Lewis said about evil really made it more clear to me. He said that evil can not be evil on its own. It has to be perpetrated on something good. A person can not be evil just for the sake of being evil; he must act upon something good. To be evil he must defile something good. A good man can be good just for the sake of being good. That was such a simple statement that I thought that it should go without saying. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that knowing this truth about evil helps me discern the difference between an unfortunate event and something that is truly evil.
Thats a good point, kinda like good men using violence (which can be considered evil but it depends on who its inflicted against) to defend themselves isnt evil. However, attacking those good people because they have more or whatever justification, is evil.
Hey Scillyautomatic. I hear a lot of good quotes from C. S. Lewis. And now I have some free time on my hands. What books do you think I should read and in which order? If you don't mind, just 3 books
@@robertbuzuk9251I hope scillyautomatic doesn't mind if I suggest that you start with Mere Christianity. It is probably the simplest introduction to his work. He expands on the same topics in Miracles but it's a harder read. I haven't read The Problem of Pain but it is also recommended by many.
A good man will not be good on his own, he also needs to triumph over an evil. This was the entire purpose for the experience of duality in the physical world.
I love how JBP makes sense of biblical stories. I'd heard all the stories, but JBP makes sense of it in a way that had never been explained to me before. Thank you.
The reason most people don't believe the elites truly are evil and truly do want to destroy everything good and right is because they don't believe in true evil. If you recognize that their actual goal is to destroy all of God's creation and all that He loves, including free will, they will see the truth. Most people can never imagine real demonic evil, so it doesn't even occur to them that there is one reason for all that is happening in the world. We truly are in a spiritual war. One of the strongest weapons against evil is our will, and everyone has access to that weapon.
It was fairly hidden but now they’ve become so brazen that they’re barely hiding it any more and woe betide anyone who names them and what they are. We need to have no fear, it dines on fear.
I think it's also because "elites" is a big category. There's plenty of clearly elite people who have much more mundane evils like oversized ego / pride or old-fashioned greed. You even run into true believers who are all in on a cause. Then you have the real monsters out there - the folks with Epstein's Island and Davos on their itinerary. Hard to sort through all of them.
Marxists are really evil. I didn't believe until the walked over all of the corporations and corrupted the sanctity of profit, which is the only thing those people worship: money. And those are the people we are always told are "evil", they're just committing the lesser of the sins. ESG is evil, to corrupt corporations to the point they sacrifice profits to spread 'the message'. That was evil on another level, no one sees that. well, I guess now people sees a bit.
Gangstalking is pretty shitty too. Just because the victim isn't a child doesn't make it any less of a crime. I was gangstalked as a young child and also as an adult.
When I was younger I came across a post by a man, explaining that he enjoyed abusing children because he loved knowing that he was "ruining them for life". That wasn't something I could handle at that age, and honestly I can't handle it now. It's a level of brokenness that surpasses human understanding.
It doesn't surpass our understanding. Listen to what Dr. Peterson explained. They abuse children so as to wound Christ. They're the same people who were standing before Pilate screaming "crucify him!!"
In the movie Tombstone Wyatt posed a similar question to Doc Holiday about his inability to understand Ringo's violent nature and Doc said something to the effect of no amount of suffering will ever satiate the blackhole at the center of Ringo's being, so he seeks revenge. Revenge for what, Wyatt asks; Doc replies, for being born.
J. Peterson thinks outside of the realm of God. Purposely. Clouds your/his understanding. 8^) Quote, "But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light."
@ Potentially yes, but not necessarily. There are some very highly intelligent people who are evil. Not just a few either. Fear destroys the mind, and almost never serves the person who experiences it.
@ to add, what embracing evil does is ultimately destroys your soul, not your mind. Your mind and soul are two completely different things. Most of those who rule in this world are evil. Most very evil. They rule primarily through fear and deception, and they are not dumb by any means.
I’m British. I’m not racist at all. I just want to be able to speak the truth without being labelled as such. It’s about what’s morally right and wrong.
Why are you worrying about being labelled? Are you trying to win a popularity contest? ;) Given all the hogwash going on in GB these days with every digital thing being monitored, if you would like to talk about things, you should probably get on a Virtual Private Network (VPN), it's an encryption tool and disguises where you are physically located. TunnelBear is easy for first time users. If people label you, or treat you like an outcast they were never a genuine friend to begin with, so you lose nothing by speaking your mind. They are only thinking of themselves when they do that sort of thing anyway. You seem like a kind and intelligent person with a talent for words to convey meaning, just lacking a bit of confidence. Believe in yourself. It looks obvious to me by your brief post above - you've got this. If I'm understanding correctly, this is about right and wrong moral behavior which has NOTHING to do with race. Did you ever notice that those who accuse others of racism are the actual racists, putting everyone in a race categories in a box, as if every person of a certain race all think the same way? THAT is racism, and their promotion of it as being kind to certain races with words (but not actually helping them) is virtue signaling. It's an age-old strategy that exploits minorities. Many people think the same way you do. GLOBALLY. We just went through the same nonsense in the US while our cities actually burned, due to childish foolishness akin to the UK's experience. Thank God we've got a few cowboys left. Soooo... Howdy! Welcome to the Cowboy Club! House rule: No spittin'. 🤠🐄
I used to want to believe that people have the best intentions, I actually thought it was my obligation to do so, but in the last 7 years I realised I had a choice, to close my eyes and live a lie, and forsake the truth, put my life and the lives of everyone I love in the hands of those whose intentions I knew were suspicious. Or I could live in a world that was much more unpredictable and dangerous than I ever wanted it to be, but have a hope of protecting or least avoiding the evil in front of us. I have chosen the latter, and do not regret that choice. From proverbs: a wise person sees the trap laid by the wicked, in front of them and moves to avoid it. (my paraphrase).
I always remember Jordan saying you must stand upto evil because if you dont they gain something from that its in the standing up that goodness can overcome those words are important to me
There are many well meaning people who, for myriad reasons, refuse to see evil. Yet you must see it in order to hate it. You must hate evil enough in order to be motivated to fight it. If you refuse to see, hating evil is largely a mental exercise. The fight will be impotent, if that fight happens at all.
And a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest. (Simon, and Garfunkel) The bible also indirectly hints at that says you cannot be neutral on say as an example on a war or abortion rigs, being neutral on this on theses subjects also means that somebody is being oppressed.
But you can't hate it. Even when you hate evil you perpetuate hate, and thus it stays as an endless cycle. Wouldn't it be better to accept that evil exists in all men, and simply refuse to act on its temptation?
This is the most concentrated pill of truth I've ever witnessed. I'm not sure if I can actually swallow this, let alone maintaining my sanity after deeply understanding their motivation to do something like this.
yup! that's why priests molest young boys. they hate the very being that promised them so much and yet delivered little - from their perspective - and they want to desecrate what that being hold sacred: innocence
Jordan, you're a hero man. The amount of knowledge and dark truths this man has consumed himself with and to teach all of us so we don't have to and he keeps going and trucking on. Thank you for taking the time to speak to me on the phone Mr. Peterson, you easily could have told my father "I'm busy" but you didn't, you called me, and that means more to me then you'll ever know.

Wow. This got dark quick. I work in a psych hospital and sometimes come across patients with dark dark thoughts. It’s so hard to talk about them but so vital to shed some light on it.
Great list. Other evil tactics: Lies, hate, arrogance, greed, lust, jealousy, anger, apathy, depression, addiction, etc. Most people are too entangled in their own lives to recognize the many attacks being used against them.
“Lies get so deep you literally can’t get to the bottom of them.” That should be in scripture or an ancient proverbs book of some sort. Like, WOW! That is some profound truth and wisdom right there.
"He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him." (NIV Daniel 2:22) It's beyond man to understand the depths of that darkness, thus symbolic of an abyss.
Man, people can really behave as fools 🤦🏻♂️ I was referring to the function when one is actually sorting through them. This really is how it works. And I’ve probably forgotten more scripture and theology than any of you have ever learned in your lives, but keep assuming 🙃
Dr Peterson makes such a good point in that we have trouble believing people are that evil. We don’t want to admit it. I would also say we run from it. That kind of evil is so scary to confront. It can hurt us for confronting it. That is why we love heros - because they risk everything, even life, to confront evil. That is what a hero is. Life is about learning to be heros.
Oh man. A good reminder to keep your head straight, not just by action but by how to engage with every single thought process, or dark stuff WILL find a home within. I had almost forgotten the real importance of this, since life's just rolling and "spiritual" engagement kind of falls off in that, so thanks for the reminder
As a survivor, I completely agree with Peterson’s answer. And many of abuser were extremely open about their active hate and rebellion against God. They also wanted me to blame God for what was happening and to think God had abandoned or rejected me. It is a whole different level of evil when you believe God is actually real and you seek to do all the things He hates because you want to “hurt” God and destroy everything He created or called out as good.
it's probably for a multitude of reasons, it can't be simplified. would you put a person who did these things out of the blue and had a nice upbringing, in the same category as a person who was a victim for their entire childhood? who had literally never known a world without these kinds of horrific things? who had never had a moment of love or normalcy? surely not. they are two very different situations with very different motives and, i would argue, should be categorised differently with regards to the label of evil
@Rob-gx7rx they are both evil. no one cares about their sob story. just an explanation not justification. plenty of abused traumatized people dont abuse
I was born to evil in 1980 I choose not to become the sort of person that could hurt my children the way my dad hurt me.. life as a whole hasn't been going well
@ actually yes, some people do care about abuse victims. and i didn't say they weren't doing evil acts. i don't think you realise what some people have been through. not just one, or multiple cases, of abuse - i'm talking about people whose every living second on earth has been extreme abuse, degradation and misery. they know nothing else. do you take sole credit for your good deeds? because it wasn't just you. it was every person who showed you love and kindness, set boundaries for you and set a good example. there are people out there who have had literally none of that. quite the opposite.
Thank you for this video that tries to show how evil ill will actually can take root. I'm a survivor of psychological and spiritual abuse in a church and organisational setting. When trying to stop or at least hinder my abuser from abusing more ppl as I was abused and many before me I discovered that what seems to be the biggest obstacle for believing me is that ppl just can't grasp that a person that seem normal, that is intelligent, charming and helpful and speak eloquently... can act so insidiously with intent to do harm. They can grasp a "fall" in a moment of weakness because of irritation or even jealousy but not the manipulative longtime plan to hurt another. They can't se pattern because it just can't be so. "He" can't be like "that" because he is so xyz not even the times the have the evidense just in front of their eyes. Once I took the help of a young man to find something the narcissist by ill will had hidden (part of the pattern) because we needed it. The next day it showed up and it became obvious to us both that the narcissist had lied, it had been a totally unnecessary act of ill. The reaction of the young man was total bewilderment and he just sat there and said: No, this can't be! No... no! Not possible. And that is with rather clear proof. 🤷 Be careful with this kind of ppl If you can walk away out of reach. If you whistleblow do it knowing you will be attacked for it so if at all possible do it supported by others not involved!
Damn. That's probably the single most profound thing I've seen asked and answered. "Why do people do this? I want to understand it." Jordans hesitancy, "Are you sure you want to know the answer to that?" It gives me goosebumps.
The scariest thing is that people who aren’t evil can never peer into the minds of those that are. That’s terrifying to think about. To know there are people out there who simply exist on a different plain of human existence than us
We do it because we are given no other viable options. Dont blame the decisions of the abused because those who can stop the abuser never show up despite knowing what is being done.
@@beckee6282 I don't agree with you. in fact I would argue that it's the highest level of good for a person to do just that, and understand it, and choose to act against it. JP has discussed this as well, when he talks about people recognizing the monsters they have inside but keep under control.
I’d never heard of Michael Malice before but the way you two interact and breakdown and teach (me at least) is the best I’ve come across yet. More please ❤!!
John Steinbeck has a good quote about evil from East Of Eden. “And just as there are physical monsters, can there not be physic or mental monsters born? The face and body may be perfect, but if a twisted gene or malformed egg can produce physical monsters, may not the same process cause a malformed soul?”
No. Body, soul, and spirit are three different things. Steinbeck wrote fiction. The question itself is well-intentioned. The problem is a presumption that there is no God and no Satan. People drive themselves to madness in their pursuit of pleasure, or the imposition of their own will upon others. This ends in eternal disaster for a spirit that refuses to ground itself in the Transcendent God.
I love that book. "Thou mayest." You always have a choice, but once you invitie that demon in, you're going to have to throw yourself into the lake to get rid of it.
Everyone is capable of the most even you can think of and even more, Everyone is.. this is unfortunate but also a blessing to those who have needed to unleash their inner animal to survive extreme situations.
What he’s saying reminds me of the scene in The Dark Knight when Bruce can’t figure out what the joker’s motivations are, and Alfred replies by simply saying “some people just want to watch the world burn”.
He's definitely chasing the high, like he says he's a dog chasing a car but wouldn't even know what to do with it if he caught it He doesn't want money he just enjoys causing chaos until he gets caught. It's just a game He's laughing at the end when he gets caught

On a less serious note, I would give my left big toe to have the perspective of someone who doesn’t know either of these two or the context from which they come. I love Malice so much, he’s so gentle and outrageous simultaneously.
I'd urge anyone who does not think this way to adjust their thinking to a Biblical understanding. There are entities that interact with us that that we cannot see and their only aim is to cause our innate corruption to blossom into the foulest of blooms. Only in the last couple of hundred years have we become so foolish as to deny these realities that everyone has know since time immemorial. They know you better than you know you and their influence is almost tangible once you know what you're looking for. Perhaps, you’re not. Happily I was raised by a Dad who’s good for the sake of being good. I don’t know any other way to be. It’s a choice, a decision, and a vulnerability.
I think claiming the opposite is evil. Just because the satan enters the life of a child at a certain age, doesn't mean that humans are naturally evil. Baffles me this comment has so many likes.
@@Pammerrigan You're 100% wrong. People don't need to learn how to lie, cheat, and steal. We figure out that on our own. We have to learn to not be that way. When we're babies we scream to get what we want. We have to learn to become selfless. It's in our nature to be evil and selfish. You may choose to be good (though without God, your definition of good is just subjective and therefore meaningless), but you and I were most definitely not born to be naturally good.
It is impossible to understand evil without acknowledging the spiritual basis of it. It's the teamwork of the heart of man being naturally wicked coupled with the fact that "our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."
@@Sarara-mv5sx You don't have to teach kids to lie, or steal, or hit people. Men left on their own without restraint will choose evil. History proves that.
@@Sarara-mv5sxyes, they are. It doesn't start off as murder. It devolves into it. You don't have to teach a child how to be selfish or be rude and mean. That's where it begins. There is so much psychological proof of this.
@@Sarara-mv5sx of course he’s not suggesting that that is an acceptable. When he uses the word naturally, it’s to describe that with humans, evil can be found everywhere among them. Start out with any known good people, run the clock a few decades and all of the sudden, if you probe around, you’ll find unspeakable acts being committed. This is observed all over the world and throughout history, that’s what happens in the world, you could say it happens naturally. Could evil start from children? Certainly. They can be cruel, and break other children before adults can even intervene. Are they naturally evil? That doesn’t matter, because the adult’s responsibility is to care nurture and shy them away from evil.
That line in Cain & Abel when god says to Cain “Sin crouches At your door like a sexually aroused predatory animal, and you invited it in to have its way with you” is absolutely chilling. I think the inclusion of the words “sexually aroused” need not be over looked. There’s something very fundamental about the human experience there. And the word “Animal” too… What a story of the first born people and how that relates to humanity. One could think about this forever.
@Jakeross123 Obviously not obvious to me the reader..Thankyou for explaining though. It might come as a surprise but many people really do believe that the world kind of started during those times. Honestly I've heard them on here...I wasn't being pedantic

The scariest part is we are all descendents of Cain. Or are we not. ? Job was not. Job had a bad deal but did not take it out on anyone. All the while Job’s friends blamed him and he still did not adopt the alien thought process. Abortion might be the ultimate inverted morality. It happens at all life stages … especially at the onset and at the end of life. It’s written into law to do that. This is the sad thing. Really sad. Bless the beasts and the children. And the elderly. In the Jewish religion the orphan and the widow are to be protected. I’m not Jewish. Jesus is. Jesus did not come to start another religiin. He came to awaken us all to the spirit of the law and love for the law and instill mercy into the law not to those who go to church but to those who go to God in church or not in church. The Word.
Not wanting to know is the root of much evil. JP is so truth telling and insightful. Jesus did NOT say this : “ Forgive them for they don’t want to know because they’re too busy to investigate long enough to find out what they do “ Jesus said this : “ Forgive them they know not what they do “ All the purveyors of false information and burial of negative information about pharmaceuticals “ side “ effects and all slanderers or blackmailers are of the alien thought process and the should be disincentivized exposed and defunded. And they are. Jordan Peterson is a real gift. God entrusted him because he suffers exactly the way Job suffered and maintained his integrity and his tenderness of heart as well as his “ pressured speech “ In the Bible it’s called an “ exhortation “ the prophets were in this role. The path of the hero has been explored and is known and there are many paths. JP is has taken this path because he studied very hard and used his gift of explaining things so that we can also take this path because there are signposts along the way that are consistent over time and space.
Jordon has still got it. This clip right here shows why he is worth listening to. There is an avalanche of new content to choose from every day. There is a lot of excellent choices, but Jordon is nearly always a safe bet for your limited time.
It's a marketing trick. When someone says, "are you sure you want to know," the response from others is almost always, "ooh, boy! This is gonna be good!" (It's either that or it's, "oh, come on, you self-important bore! Get on with it!") Peterson knows that those words have never dissuaded anyone from pursuing an answer, but that's no trouble because the real purpose is to prime people to feel as though they're being let in on some tremendously powerful, profound, and forbidden secret.
I love how JBP makes sense of biblical stories. I'd heard all the stories, but JBP makes sense of it in a way that had never been explained to me before. Thank you.
One of the best descriptions of pure evil that I read was in C.S.Lewis's Space Trilogy, when the main protagonist Ransom encounters his enemy, the mad scientist Weston on the planet Perelandra. Weston has been possessed by an evil spirit. "It seemed to summon Ransom, with a horrible naiveté of welcome into the world of it's own pleasures.....as if they were the most natural thing in the world. It was not furtive, nor ashamed, it had nothing of the conspirator in it. It did not defy goodness, it ignored it to the point of annihilation. Ransom perceived that he had never before seen anything but half-hearted and uneasy attempts at evil. This creature was whole-hearted. The extremity of it's evil had passed beyond all struggle into some state which bore a horrible similarity to innocence." That initial rebellion against God or goodness that motivates the evil person subsides into a kind of banality, where evil is normalised. It becomes almost mundane. It's simply the environment in which it operates.
What a fascinating interview. Dr Peterson lays this out perfectly. We are surrounded by demons. Pray. Pray to our Lord and King Jesus Christ to show us, teach us and guide us how to defeat this evil.
The problem with the UK's case is that they made the mistake of punishing "Offensive Speech" without any guardrails, exceptions, or explanations. To punish criticism in any form, warranted or not, is to sign the death warrant of your own society.
Years ago I read "People of the Lie: The Hope for Healing Human Evil" by M. Scott Peck (The Road Less Travelled). Wonderfully prescient inquiry into what we now might call malignant narcissism. He was pilloried for it, I believe. He was calling out to his peers ... "Hey, I'm noticing this thing with certain clients. It's beyond what we would consider within the realm of 'normal' or typical pathology. I think we need to talk about this." It is worth a read.
Brilliant book, I also read years ago and passed to friends. I recall him saying something along the lines of ‘they fear the light’ I’m going to purchase it again, it’s so relevant to our current times.
I genuinely love the mind of Jordan Peterson. Understanding the true nature of mankind is a hard thing to face, and providing clarity in describing it is one reason Jordan is so brilliant. Thanks you, I continue to be thankful for Jordan's recovery.
What a beautiful mature conversation. JP has an amazing ability to think from a position of evil enough to understand what motivates it without becoming it. Having this level of awareness is intimidating to people who are scared of their own darkness, but those of us who are empaths/ been thru many cycles of abuse understand the way evil can thrive within a person, a family, a whole country. I think the answer to why child trafficking isn’t front and center is because it’s an initiation tool used by the psycopaths/ narcissists, which as Peterson pointed out are predators at the top of the food chain. Keeping promises means nothing in a room full of sociopaths, they need blackmail material
The fact that every single human being on the planet has the choice to allow evil to ….prevail…is solidifying my need for Jesus to lead my life and to remember that no matter how much I think I know …it means absolutely nothing unless I choose to demonstrate that by love …it’s not enough to theorize …. 🙏
I have two little daughters and as soon as Jordan said that what these people are doing, "You take the most innocent possible creature and do the worst possible thing to them." I instantly teared up. SOME people are just completely horrible. EDIT - I had to add the word "some" in there because I couldn't go on living the rest of my life knowing I would get people saying "some not all" on this. Come on people, I'm well aware it's not everyone. I know many many people in my life and lots of good people. Only an idiot would take that literally and feel the need to point it out. No shit sherlocks.
Some ppl. It’s important you know that it’s only “some” bc the second you think “ppl”, as if it’s all ppl, it’s easy to become paranoid and nihilistic. The world is terrible, and it’s beautiful, there’s a lot of evil and a lot of good. Teaching kids to recognize both is hard, but it’s worth it bc the last thing anyone should want is to teach their kids to fear everything and everyone.

The fact that it shocks people when you find out who is doing these things shows that it's more than expected. But yes, there are also lots of good people out there, that much is obvious.

Truth
@@katsinthecradle89 "it dines on fear" - you are so spot on. That is the door evil comes into, wearing a smile.

Child abuse is the worst evil.
I can’t for the life of me comprehend it. I can’t imagine someone enjoying such a thing, let alone actually doing it. It truly is alien

There is also an accompanying evil to child abuse: the evil that makes society so that child abuse increases.
When I was younger I came across a post by a man, explaining that he enjoyed abusing children because he loved knowing that he was "ruining them for life".
That wasn't something I could handle at that age, and honestly I can't handle it now. It's a level of brokenness that surpasses human understanding.

Yes. It is not fixable imo - they have even shown that these types of people have literal brain damage that makes them different

If you refuse to see, hating evil is largely a mental exercise. The fight will be impotent, if that fight happens at all.
Evil only flourishes because good men do nothing. And evil is everywhere.

You should read actual scripture... there's not really anything profound about that.
"He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him." (NIV Daniel 2:22) It's beyond man to understand the depths of that darkness, thus symbolic of an abyss.

🤷
Be careful with this kind of ppl

You may choose to be good (though without God, your definition of good is just subjective and therefore meaningless), but you and I were most definitely not born to be naturally good.
It is impossible to understand evil without acknowledging the spiritual basis of it.

(It's either that or it's, "oh, come on, you self-important bore! Get on with it!") Peterson knows that those words have never dissuaded anyone from pursuing an answer, but that's no trouble because the real purpose is to prime people to feel as though they're being let in on some tremendously powerful, profound, and forbidden secret.
This topic is one of a type!! Your confidence in answering the toughest questions make Peterson very unique ❤🔥
I love how JBP makes sense of biblical stories. I'd heard all the stories, but JBP makes sense of it in a way that had never been explained to me before. Thank you.
This brought me to tears when the evil became clear.
That's good. It means your soul is alive and well and your heart is open. You do know that's God, right?
The extremity of it's evil had passed beyond all struggle into some state which bore a horrible similarity to innocence."
That initial rebellion against God or goodness that motivates the evil person subsides into a kind of banality, where evil is normalised. It becomes almost mundane. It's simply the environment in which it operates.
Yuval Noah Harare for example
I will have to read it!
Thank you for your exceptional contribution to this topic.
Evil, though it has no depth of depravity it will not explore, the grace of God is infinitely deeper.
12:16
‘There’s no limit to the degree that people will elevate their own moral status falsely. Especially if someone else pays the price’.
Peterson continues to amaze.
It makes me very happy to see you and it feels like you are doing good Jordan. I’ve followed you for so long and upon realizing this it made happy
What a fascinating interview. Dr Peterson lays this out perfectly. We are surrounded by demons. Pray. Pray to our Lord and King Jesus Christ to show us, teach us and guide us how to defeat this evil.
🙏🏼 Amen
This conversation is amazing! Thanks to both of you.
I think the moral decay boils down to disrespect for life from the moment of conception to the elderly.
I love this channel. We need this conversation more than ever.
The problem with the UK's case is that they made the mistake of punishing "Offensive Speech" without any guardrails, exceptions, or explanations.
To punish criticism in any form, warranted or not, is to sign the death warrant of your own society.
In 20 years, UK will be unrecognizable if they carry on down this path
Okay Mr Peterson is back! Got me gripped to my seat for sure! Thanks for sharing
Amazing Insight Jordan Peterson.
I'm looking for my next Peterson Academy lecture series, and this clip sold me on Michael's class! I'm looking forward to his lecture style!
By the way, what a beautiful place this conversation is taking place; love the interior and the architecture
I didn't want to know.
I do think I needed to know.
My burning question has been answered by the Jordan Peterson. Thank you.
Sin and evil isn’t just action, it’s the thoughts and feelings behind the action.
Perfect Explanation! It reminds me of the Book of Melchezedek. It perfectly details three stories of rebellion and how those seeds are planted.
The fact that every single human being on the planet has the choice to allow evil to ….prevail…is solidifying my need for Jesus to lead my life and to remember that no matter how much I think I know …it means absolutely nothing unless I choose to demonstrate that by love …it’s not enough to theorize ….
🙏
Emory Andrew Tate the second (top g’s father): “raw action solves all things.” Theory is nice, but only useful when followed by action.
Take a closer walk with thee...
Most are decent, a few are diabolical.
Keep your kids safe.
@@liz9284 Oh I get that. It's more just an expression "people are the worst." I do understand it's not all people, I've been around 39 years and I mostly know all good people. I'm not that depressing.
The thing is though, it's really not just some people, it's a lot more than we think. The fact that it shocks people when you find out who is doing these things shows that it's more than expected.
But yes, there are also lots of good people out there, that much is obvious.
Evil is here and some would say sodum is burning
@@AlistairHig Some people. By no means all.
The main source of evil is weakness and cowardice.
Fear ,the path to dark side, that is....- yoda(star wars)
I think the main source of evil is the desire for destruction and suffering of others.
I'd put my money on it being Pride. Pride is the main source of evil.
@@isabelleskiss that is not a source, it's an effect
That's why they are afraid.................................... of their own shadow..............
Basically they can't stand pure souls 🏆
I almost forgot how much I love this man.
Y'know how we all have our conscience or inner voice and how it manifests uniquely for each of us? Mine is the voice of JBP.
How can you not love Michael for coming on using that outfit? 😂. Love the dude.
I'm new here what's that outfit about?
The only person that will actually have an honest discussion ❤
As soon as God said "buddy" my day improved.
This is a brilliant interview. Thank you both so much
I love the point Jordan made about it starts with something small but then they push the boundaries. It's easy to be let down a path of evil. Especially when at first you might not believe it to be evil. Thank God gave us Jesus!
Hey Jordan! You're great
Have to Love Jordan he is one of the great thinkers, brings perspective and wakes us the F up.
Thank You Jordan! 🙏
Thankful we're having conversations like these
This reminds me of an interview I saw with a serial rapist. He unequivocally said he did it because he hated his father and he wanted him to know he'd brought a rapist in the world, the worst thing he thought he could be.
Might be ted bundy with his mom
This explanation is so helpful. I feel the same way at Michael.
Somewhat reminds me of the end of the movie "Prisoners" with Hugh Jackman where the lady is telling him why she does what she does. "Making children disappear is the war we wage with God. Makes people lose their faith. Turns them into demons like you."
OMG! Every time I watch you I learn something I didn’t know. I’m interested enough to hear it out, but after the fact it hurts my heart that humanity can be and is so dark. So so dark. God please protect the innocent. Amen
i used to think all these energy books were just hype, but then i heard about Magnetic Aura from friends who suddenly seemed calmer, more in control, like they weren’t letting stress or negativity mess with them anymore. it’s not magic or anything, but i can’t ignore the changes i’ve seen in them since they read it. it’s hard to track down tho, so if you’re curious, you’ll need to dig a little.
Malice is a treasure. I probably agree with him 75% of the time. But hes a great example of someone whos not afraid of standing on his conviction and working it through conversation.
Satan wants to destroy anything innocent. He’s determined to draw us into sin. We need a Savior. Thank you Jesus 🙏🏻✝️
I’ve watched this 3 times and played this for every male in my life. This is so important. Thank you, Jordan and Michael.
Power is invigorating. Power over other people is even better. Power over someone you consider - or even better, make - weak is absolutely intoxicating.
Is it, though? Voluntary cooperation is much more compelling
@@jennifermarie8707 Because you're healthy.
Imagine an entire family, generations even, with that mindset. It exists.
@@jennifermarie8707 Bad people compete where it's more appropriate to cooperate. They cannot cooperate because they cannot see people as people the same way normal humans can. Lack of object constancy.
That's because you have made yourself your own God. Just as Satan did. It's your pride. It's not your power by the way - it's Satan's. He's just drawing you in further. Like taking candy from a baby. Down and down and down you go - where you end - we all know.
An enlightening explanation. Listening to this I was struck by how this explains the phenomena current running rampant in China of people taking their cars and running full speed into walking pedestrians/crowds of complete strangers.
When Peterson says, "It's a long long long way down," Michael looks back with petrified dread.
Except he doesn’t
I see the dread
Thank you for the knowledge
Jordan Peterson never gets old ❤
